Gabi is a gold glove award finalist

He definitely has some tough competition but god, it just goes to show how awesome he has been this year. Winning a batting title AND being a gold glove finalist? Such a great year for him
This play alone should win him a glove. Idc about stats or numbers this shit was cool as hell

There was also that one towards the end of the season where he ran out in front of the plate and laid out to sling one over to 3rd. Can't remember when it was, but it was a game I was at so I could probably track it down later. Was one of the most graceful baller moves I've ever seen a catcher pull off.

You didn’t mention Perdomo, or was he not announced yet when you posted this?

Checked again and Corbin and Vargas made it too, but not Nolan.

No more having to listen to Giants fans try to justify Patrick Bailey as a peer of Gabi

He doesn't even play for the Giants anymore. I only know this because he's on a postseason team. Cleveland, I think.

Would this not be the reason we no longer have to listen to Giants fans try to justify Patrick Bailey as a peer of Gabi?

He's going against Torrens and Fermin. Both of them had great seasons at catcher, but I wonder if Gabi's volume at catcher gives him the nod (over 200 more innings at catcher than the other two)

In what universe doesnt the front office move to lock him down honestly. He and Corbin are the same age, both have extreme upside, and both are + defenders. Thats everything you'd want for a core to continue competing.

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely want to extend Gabby. But catchers are risky and locking one up to big money for years is dangerous for an organization without an unlimited budget.
Also, it’s certainly possibly Gabby himself wants to hit free agency. I doubt this is the case, but you asked about possible universes.

Hes under team control until 2029, in what world would the Dbacks want to deal him?

Do you not know our owner? You confident he will pay Moreno like a top 3 catcher?

I expect him to win the NL silver slugger and also probably get some down ballot mvp votes
