discussion Amazon intern

Hey everyone I know this may not be the correct subreddit to post this but ill shoot my shot.

I recently had my online technical interview for the Amazon Dublin SDE summer internship, and I felt it went really well. I just checked my application status on the Amazon jobs portal for the first time, and it says "No longer under consideration." I haven't received any email either way.

Has anyone else seen this status after their interview and still received an offer? I'm not sure if it's a rejection or just how the portal normally shows things. Any experiences would be really appreciated, thanks! šŸ™

TLDR does application no longer under consideration mean rejection

Wait for someone to reach out. That status doesn't necessarily mean you were rejected in my experience. One way or another, you should receive an official communication

portal statuses at amazon are notoriously unreliable, i've seen people get that message and then an offer a week later. the system is just weird sometimes

that said, no email at all is kinda odd. maybe check your spam folder? their recruiter emails get caught in there more than you'd think

either way don't read too much into the portal until someone actually contacts you. those statuses flip around for no reason half the time

My first internship had ā€œno longer under considerationā€ but it was because they transferred me to another job posting that didn’t show up until later

Recruiter's email is the only way to know for sure.
