I was listening to these albums in this exact order, nightmare, the stage, LIBAD and finally STATICA, and am I crazy or do these 4 albums feel like they’re an evolution of each other? Before I continue, I feel HTTK was more of a comercial “fine HERE” release rather than a project that the band held dear for years until perfected.

I genuinely think that even in nightmare you could feel those small “experimental” elements popping in in some tracks, then in The Stage they embraced more prog elements that felt like a natural evolution off Nightmare, the insane guitar work balanced out with some more experimental stuff mixed in better than ever before, I’d even say The Stage was the perfect blend between experimental and classic A7X metal compositions, but that’s besides the point, then came LIBAD which imo i think many people haven’t even considered given it a good through and through listen, because if they did they’d probably find that it’s a great evolution off The Stage, balancing out the experimental aspects while dialing down the more heavy stuff from past albums, making this a new sound for the band to explore and expand upon, then finally the dreaded STATICA; I just listened to the whole thing (mixing in MAGIC because it’s basically part of Statica atp) and I did not have a bad time, listening to LIBAD before it really gives you more of an open mind listening to it and I genuinely don’t know why, granted it’s not by any means my favorite work from A7X but it’s not a dumpster fire as some people describe it. I really recommend listening to these four albums in a row because the experience is very satisfying, it’s listening to the evolution of a band essentially.

But then again I might be high and making stuff up to make STATICA not feel as bad, any thoughts on this?

art by me. (No AI shit)

Amazing

..so it’s likely his voice can improve again. I don’t think he permadeathed his vocal cords just yet.

His performance of desecrate through the reverence at the DBC show in 2024 was one of the best Mshadows vocal performances I’ve heard over all 11 shows I’ve been to since I started going to shows in 2004.

next i need to meet Danny Carey and Mike Portnoy to meet my 3 favorite drummers! Now imma show up to avenged in Sydney tomorrow with a brooks signed shirt!

He made me feel really short too which isn’t hard to do but still after meeting art Cruz of lamb of god and being about the same size I felt normal sized… im humbled

I love the band and their music, but when asking if anyone will let me rant or want to chat about Avenged Sevenfold, that the discord wasn't the place. Am I just too unc? Can a deathbat not talk to a fellow deathbat in the Death Bats Club about Synyster Gates? I feel like I'm not asking for too much. And I even asked if there was a place to shoot the shit about Avenged Sevenfold and they ignored my ass. Thats my rant about the discord server and how they wouldn't let me praise the lord of shred in the discord of Avenged Sevenfold. Thank you for your time and seize the day!

Edit: I mean no hate towards the discord, I might just be too unc for discord. I apologize for any inconvenience my fellow deathbats! But for those of you who want to hear unc glaze A7X I will be around. I will shout into the void about how good Syn and Zachy are on the guitar. Go listen to Buried Alive its a certified Banger. Much love and talk soon - a fellow deathbat

Willing to get a GA for Melbourne

A mashup of Statica and Good Goodbye by Linkin Park that I made, this is lowkey how I'd imagine if LP and A7X did a song or side project together in later years, or perhaps made Statica together. 😅

These two songs are in the same Key (except Statica transitions into another key through the end) and close BPM range, and I also tried playing/experimenting around with the stems and all to fit it with LP's structure style, and adding some guitars here and there as well. Enjoy!

was able to cop this for less than 4usd through carousell oml i am in love.

more to go

I used to love A7x when I was in high school (2005-2009) but from what i can remember there was a point in time where I couldn’t even get through the intro of any songs. So I lived through life as usual without ever hearing a thing from nightmare, Hail to the king the stage and LIBAD and all was well, or so I thought.

A couple months ago, by chance, I saw that they were coming to my city for a show and I thought why not i dont have anything better to do might as well go see them for old times sake and MY GOD did all those memories came flooding back along with my lost love for these group of god tier musicians.

Since then I have been listening and consuming nothing else but A7X pretty much from the first album all through Statica on a loop and now I can’t listen to anything else. Often find myself deep diving into all their interviews, rewatching live shows and all that stuff.

I’m a punk rock guy, lived and breathed blink 182 most of my life but now its the opposite I can’t even listen to blink like i used to, it just sounds so basic compared to a7x and im afraid i can’t go back 😂

What that live show did to mentally and emotionally can’t be explained but I feel like i’ve been baptized (im not religious by any means) by the gods that is A7x.

very curious

I got GA, anyone who wants to tag along with me? I’m 28M, super chill. This is going to be my first concert in Sydney.

This may be a shot in the dark, but my partner and I purchased backstage VIP passes for the show on Tuesday, however we are yet to receive any email or correspondence indicating the time we are meant to arrive or meeting spot.

Our tickets seem to have the same event time (5:15pm) and gate entry as standard tickets.

Is anyone else going VIP that has received an email yet?? Just a bit worried we aren’t going to arrive at the correct time or place

Grew up with A7X and their style has aged with me perfectly. I've loved every project. Then this came out and thought "okay it's the first time no big deal, they will always be experimenting" then of course.. letting it just play sometimes. I found 1 track I liked... then another.. and now? Entire EP on loop. Somehow they have done it again for me😂💀
