Technical Question Any link to advanced search on Audible homepage?
There are a bunch of posts here that give links to various URLs that may or may (if they're old) bring up advanced search. I had one of those bookmarked for a long time, which no longer works, but I found a new one here that now does work. That's OK, but I really wanna know: is there some link on the main page that can get you to advanced search, so whenever they change the underlying URL you can still find it just by opening the Audible app or going to the website and clicking the link?? I sure can't find anything, but I'm visually impaired so maybe I'm just missing it

Do I get to keep books I’ve purchased if I cancel subscription?
Pretty much exactly what it says. I’m curious about trying out audible but the pricing confuses me. I’ve read that if I have kindle unlimited I can get audiobooks at a discount, but can I sign up for the KU for a month, buy the audiobooks I want, and then listen to them at my leisure?

Promotion Dónal Finn (The Wheel of Time,Young Sherlock) is Dick Turpin in a new full-cast drama, now on Audible.
Hi all. I co-wrote and co-directed this, so I'm biased, and I'm happy to be told off if this isn't the right place for it!
TURPIN: Essex Pistols is a full-cast audio drama about the real Dick Turpin. Forget the dashing highwayman in the tricorn hat. The real one was an English butcher who started out poaching, fell in with a gang of housebreakers and got a lot worse from there. We played it as a crime drama, closer to a gang story than a costume piece.
Dónal Finn plays Turpin. If you know him as Mat Cauthon or Moriarty, he's rougher and angrier here than you might expect. He's joined by Jemima Rooper, Greg Wise, Kacey Ainsworth, Harry Myers and Brian Bovell. It has sound design and music, so it's closer to a radio play than someone reading to you.
It's out now on Audible: https://www.audible.co.uk/pd/Turpin-Audiobook/B0HK8BDHTR
Happy to answer anything about the writing, the research, or how a drama like this gets made.

Most Previews Unhelpful
Is there anybody else out there who feels the way I do about audible previews? They’re usually 4 to 5 minutes long, but normally half that time is taken up by information about the publisher and/or some sort of forward.
Don’t they understand that the reason that most of us listened to previews is to get a solid feeling for their narration style?

Suggestions for a runner
Hello all!
As the title suggests I am a runner looking for Audible suggestions. I have a half marathon in three weeks and have burned through all my podcast options (you’re wrong about, if books could kill, good hang, lonely island).
Last half marathon, I ripped through the housemaid series and a lighter autumnal book - the very secret society of irregular witches.
I am always keen on suggestions for books that will keep me spellbound and would love suggestions. Hopefully this kind of post is allowed here ❤️

Technical Question Cancelling subscription policies
So I’ve heard that if you don’t use all the credits you have before canceling your subscription they take them away from you? If that’s true, how are they even allowed to do that? You already paid for those credits?? That seems unethical to me.. asking because I keep wanting to cancel but have 4 credits. I’m picky about what I get from audible because I always check and see if the library has it before using a credit. Meanwhile I keep obtaining more credits as I’m trying to decide how to use them which is just perpetuation my membership…

Giving away 3 Audible audiobooks before I cancel my membership
I have 3 Audible credits left, and my membership renews tomorrow. I’ve already used the full 90-day pause, and I don’t plan on continuing the subscription, so I need to use the credits before I cancel.
Rather than letting them disappear, I’d like to use all 3 to gift audiobooks to people here.
There’s also an Audible Rewards promo on my account where spending 3 eligible credits may earn me a $15 Audible reward. The promo terms say to redeem 3 eligible credits, so I’m hoping that using the credits for gifted audiobooks will count. If it works and the reward posts before my membership ends, I’ll use the $15 on a book for myself before cancelling.
If you'd like a book:
- Comment with the title + author of the Audible audiobook you want.
- An Audible.com link would be helpful too.
- Please make sure you don't already own the audiobook.
- This is for Audible.com / U.S. accounts.
- I’ll choose 3 people and purchase the requested audiobook as a gift.
- I’ll send the Audible claim code privately by DM. Please don't post your email address.
I'm not selling anything and don't need any personal information. I just don't want the credits to go to waste.
Once all 3 are gone, I'll update the post.
edit: all 3 are gone (first come first serve). but I did get the 15$ credit, and am prioritizing spending on whichever combination of books uses more than 14.80 of it. First come, first serve for the ones that fall into this combination.
edit: done.
realized audible doesn't allow spending the 15$ credit on gifts ;-;.

Promotion [US and UK Promotion] Free Audible Codes – The Simple Law of Attraction | A Darkly Funny Short Novel
I've got free Audible codes for anyone who fancies something a little different!
I've recently narrated The Simple Law of Attraction, a short, dry, darkly funny novel with a rather unusual premise.
A young man is sentenced to death for an elbow.
He isn't frightened. And that, it turns out, is the one thing nobody can forgive him.
His mother visits him in prison and makes him take off his cap. His lawyer, after twenty-one years in the profession, finds himself strangely fascinated by him. Meanwhile, somewhere above the ocean, a woman who once controlled his life is reading his trial transcript aloud to a very wealthy man.
It's a story about the one offence society never seems to pardon: refusing to behave the way everyone expects you to.
🎧 FREE AUDIBLE CODES AVAILABLE – UK & US 🇬🇧🇺🇸
If you'd like to listen, simply send me a private message and let me know whether you need a UK or US download code.
There's absolutely no obligation to leave a review. However, if you enjoy the audiobook and feel inclined to leave an honest review, I'd be genuinely delighted and very grateful.
Thanks for reading, and happy listening!

Technical Question Cancelled my free membership before the deadline
I need help understanding how this works. So I got the free 30 day trial, but it still says that it will be cancelled on Oct 17th at "the end of my final billing cycle". Does that mean I'm getting billed?

Payment issues in the app?
I’ve been having issues with my audible app for probably 2 months now where I go to purchase a book and get a payment error, then I go to the website and the book is more expensive but payment works fine. This seems fishy? For example, a book I wanted was 4.99 in app, didn’t want to use a credit on something so inexpensive, but payment error on every card I attempted. Go to audible website- book is 14.99, payment works fine. Is anyone else having this issue? And yes, I’ve double checked I’m seeing the prices correctly, and that my cards aren’t getting fraud alerts or anything crazy. Just feels scammy to show me a price in app but then I’m forced to pay more because they are having “payment processing errors”

Travis Baldree tales from the territory
I have this audio preordered I just got yet another delay notice email so this is the second time the release has been pushed further out. Anyone have any insight?
EDIT: there’s another listing that published early this month and despite the email saying it was pushed to October 15 and giving me the option to cancel or wait Audible apparently just automatically cancelled my pre-order and refunded my credit without informing me. Very weird and confusing but didn’t lose out on anything.

Why would I buy books when this is a thing?
Why would I spend 15-20+ dollars on a book when I can buy 9 credits for $80? ($8.89 dollars a credit) surely this is a one time offer and I can’t continuously buy credits like this?

Technical Question Audible customer services mess up?
I have an audible account and recently called them to upgrade from one to two credits per month. The phone rep was very helpful and even issued a free credit to my Audible account.
But, the 2 credits per month never appeared in my account but the charges did appear on my Apple ID.
Is there a way to link the two or do I need to have them help me?

Blurb: The most dangerous secrets aren't always found in the patient's chart.
Dr. Emily Reyes is weeks away from completing her first year of medical residency when a routine overnight call shift ends in disaster. At first, Emily blames exhaustion, sleep deprivation, and physician burnout. Then the impossible begins.
Hospital rooms change overnight, critical events vanish without a trace, and patients deny what they saw with their own eyes. As Emily struggles to separate memory from reality, she discovers that the hospital’s contradictions may not be mistakes at all. Something is hidden deep inside the Asylum of Hope University Hospital; something powerful enough to manipulate records, memories, and the very reality Emily thought she understood.
But the closer she gets to the truth, the more the hospital turns against her.
Now Emily must uncover what is really happening before she loses her career, her sanity, and ultimately her life. Because the hospital isn't just hiding a secret. It may be rewriting reality to hide it.
Vital Signs of Revolution is a psychological science fiction novel of medical conspiracy, paranoia, and reality-bending suspense; perfect for listeners who enjoy dark medical mysteries, unreliable perceptions, and high-stakes psychological thrillers.
Medical school never prepared you for this.
