Really curious what Vital Vegas and that Samson guy have to say now. I always hoped things would fall apart but was aware that MLB was gonna make this happen no matter how much Fisher continued to fuck things up. Those two sources were always very certain it wasn't happening.

Ey I wish you guys were still in the bay, but I'm glad your new stadium is coming together nicely. Hope it leads to success for you all. Respect.

Oakland A’s fan here. Man, I hope you’re wrong and this stadium falls into a pit that opens up just before opening day.

I know, man. I'm sorry. My first baseball game ever was an A's game. I got to see Ricky Henderson play. McGwire and Canseco. Dennis Eckersly. I even saw when Mr. October came home for his final season. I have a place in heart for the A's and it made me furious the way Oakland fumbled that. Same with the Raiders, no pun intended, even though I'm on the SF side of the bay. I love that rivalry between our teams. Hurts my soul to think of them in Vegas. Truly. But just making the best of a bad situation I guess.

The team has been trying to get Vegas folks interested - having our HOF players show up, etc . . . And the turnout is pathetic. As it is, SH is 50/50 A’s versus away - sometimes more visiting . . . I just hope the players are still appreciated because we have had some phenomenal players.

I love the wastrels saying that this is a permanent away park (70% of buyers of the premium boxes are local). Some other nimrod said there's no been no progress since March.
I left the Bay Area in 1990. I miss the place where I grew up, but it doesn't exist anymore. Oakland did everything they could to get the A's to leave. Vegas had tax incentives and permitting lined up in less than 90 days. Oakland/Alameda took 4 times that long to commission a drawing with no input from ownership

Oakland was literally 99% there with the last stadium effort on Jack London Square….everything was aligning and then the owner John Fisher saw that they were almost there and noped out quickly.

The City of Oakland was not negotiating in good faith and had already lost funding for one of their plans because they were misusing funds from the state.

Just wondering, if like the Raiders, it will be a Mecca for opposing teams' fans.
