Southeast Ohio Christian Academy in Nelsonville
At the last Nelsonville city council meeting, it was revealed that SOCA has acquired the JFS building on the square. They intend to use it as a 9-12 space.
They need changes to the zoning permit, which is why they were in front of council last night.
If you live in Nelsonville, you should voice opposition to this effort. This will only serve to further draw funding out of our already strained public schools. It will put more of our young people in front of skewed and unscientific instruction. And it will place our local businesses at the mercy of a private, partisan, and unaccountable institution whose idealogy is rooted in puritanical nonsense.
