Fuck evo forge and every vibecoded app

I talking about Eye Tracked Foveated DLSS not he Foveated Rendering that is built into the game which is good in its own right but this is a better experience.

Okay, I'm a month late to the party but If you have a VR headset with eye tracking this is a MASSIVE boost. I'm basically seeing a totally smooth 4K image and I haven't even tuned it.

I'm not sure exactly how the resolution is calculated in the foveated area but I'm running at 5700x2900 and using DLSS Quality with 200% upscale.

For example with eye tracking it is 11ms in the F40 race compared to 15ms for a much worse image without eye tracking.

It is comparable performance to original AC.

I'm using a Pimax Dream Air with a 5090.

This is my first full day experimenting so the settings 1:26 need tweaking.

Using Cheeky DLSS mod https://github.com/ClarkCheekyKent/Ch... - Install instructions at bottom of his page.

Basically one time execute the file described to inject Cheeky into the pipeline and copy the folder into the ACE run folder. Now F8 should open the Cheeky menu in game.

For Pimax users:

I am using sboys3 driver

To enable Eye Tracking I have to close Openport in Pimax Evo and in Settings choose to open Pimax Play Classic to turn on eye tracking.

In PPC I go to Eye Tracking and switch it on and test it is working in Eye Calibration. Then go to Settings and scroll down to find the option to return to Pimax Evo.

In PE turn on Openport Launch sboys3 driver

Launch SteamVR Open Steam and launch AC Evo

Press F8 to enable Cheeky Menu

Sometimes eye tracking doesn't get passed down the pipeline but I find 80% of the time it works. Once it is working it should be good for a session but exiting a race can deactivate it, also taking off the headset and a myriad of other things can make it stop working. But once I started a race it never dropped out mid-race.

I converted the Mount Akina map from the original Assetto Corsa to Assetto Corsa EVO using EvoForge! I even managed to host a server directly from my own PC. Now I just need to find a way to keep it running 24/7 so everyone can enjoy it. We'll finally be able to do some multiplayer touge grip racing !

Anywhere to improve? I see lap time at 6’13

This version of Watkins Glen is the best. Kunos knocked it out of the park with this track. I did a night race with a bunch of various vintage car conversions. It was a very fun race, the Ferrari Daytona is a pleasure to drive.

The lighting in Evo is awesome. I spent half this replay just looking off at the stars and lights coming through behind the armco and fencing. The interior detail is fantastic, the cars are awesome to drive.

As you can see from the photos, when cars are in the showroom the suspension looks standard, but for some reason when you are about to start a race, it looks really low.

How can I fix this? Road cars have the suspension tuning setting blanked out

To use it you just sign up with a free Patreon account, so there's no new username and password to remember. Windows only.

Note: the program is not digitally signed. Signing requires a paid certificate (hundreds of euros a year) and, without it, Windows or some antivirus programs may flag it as potentially harmful. Since the software is completely free and has no ads, I don't intend to pay to remove the warning for now. The software is safe and virus-free, and it works on the same principle as other sim racing telemetry software (it reads the data the game makes available).

Hi all!

Before all, I have 0 experience making tools, mods or whatever for games, but I am a heavy user of a mod for the good old Assetto Corsa called Brake Trainer https://www.overtake.gg/downloads/brake-trainer.32511/ and couldn't find something similar for Evo, so I vibecoded a little companion app / mod for ACE inspired from it, called Brake Trainer EVO and wanted to share it.

What it does: It learns your own braking points and makes a beep to help you have a reference next time. It also gives you a transparent HUD with information about next-brake distance, brake bar, sector colors, etc. but you need to use the game in windowed mode to see it.

It saves a times configuration per track + car combination, ignores the first lap when you are just starting a session, ignores a sector if you went out of the track, you can pause the learning mode manually (useful when you are in a race instead of practicing). You can delete a complete track/car combination or just a sector and keep the rest. Just right-click the app after opening it and you will find everything that can be tweaked.

You can download the exe from the repository or just run from source yourself, the steps should be described in readme file. Everybody is invited to contribute with fixes, improvements, copying it, etc. I would love feedback on it and if you know of an already mature alternative, please tell me 🤣

Looking for an Assetto Corsa track or a good converted version

Anyone got any good group recommendations for road car based driving and racing? Not really a big full race car player.

I see everyone is upset about no in game economy and progression. What is the point if you’re going to allow modded cars? Also if I can’t use the modded cars in the open world what’s the point of having modding? What would that mean for modded maps?
