Are there any particular stereotypes or connotations about wearing a loden coat in Italy?

Speaking in particular about the traditional green loden "Hubertus" coat. https://imgur.com/a/lodenmantel-zmR4rGg\].

I own and wear one often in my country, but I will be visiting South Tyrol and I know the coat originates from that area. I wondered if I should wear a different coat since I don't know what stigma or connotations this coat has there.

I have been told that in Austria loden coats are more often worn by someone who is politically rightwing, but I don't know if it is similar in South Tyrol. I am not wanting to make a statement or stand out in any way.

Any insight is welcome. Thanks!

FASHION How judgmental are Italians really about clothes if you're a tourist?

I haven't been to Italy since I was a teenager, but I remember everyone made such a big deal about Italian fashion, with comments like "Italians always look at your shoes" and being teenagers, we cared a LOT about style. Also we were there on a long term trip so we shopped a lot while we were there and tried to dress more European and sophisticated (spoiler: we probably looked like clowns).

If I go again, will I be treated rudely for dressing in my everyday casual clothes? (Basically jeans and sneakers, hoodie, baseball cap, which would be acceptable in most non-work situations in New York) I don't plan to do any fancy things, I just want to sight-see but I don't want to be laughed at.
