Restore/Replace/Repair Ms. Pac-man repair advice
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello everyone,
I recently picked up this Ms. Pac-man arcade cabinet in non-working condition. I was able to get it powered up and somewhat running by cleaning and reseating the daughter board and a few of the other socketed chips.
I can solder and make repairs, but am inexperienced at diagnosing where the issue may be coming from. Has anyone seen a similar issue or know a common culprit for this type of glitch? Looking for some advice to get this thing running again.
Thanks!

Hey Ya'll Check This Out! Does anybody know where I can find a Tetris Dekaris arcade cabinet in Tokyo?
Tetris Dekaris is a Japan exclusive arcade cabinet. I was hoping there would be somewhere in Tokyo that would have it. Does anybody know for certain?

Hey Ya'll Check This Out! Virtua Cop (1994 arcade) in REAL 3D VR on Quest 3, with a 3D virtual homemade gun in hand. You're not shooting on a flat screen (but you can) and it's free.

"Don't shoot me!"
The legendary Virtua Cop is out in VR.
First, thank you for the incredible welcome you gave Sega Rally. We're already more than 150 on the Discord, and I hope it's only the beginning of this community's adventure.
This is the second one, and this time you're standing in the docks with the gangsters, at real scale, with a 3D gun in your hand: aim with the controller like the cabinet's light gun, reload by shooting below the screen, and the hits land on what you shoot. Everything runs on the Quest 3 in real 3D, redrawn in 4K at 120 Hz.
Coming next: Time Crisis (in beta right now, sign-ups are open), Time Crisis II, The House of the Dead, Dirt Dash (beta soon), Daytona USA, Top Skater, Sega Super GT 24h and Virtua Racing.
Have fun with it, and any support is welcome: even just sharing it helps a lot.

Hey Ya'll Check This Out! I'm recreating my favorite 2000's ball-rolling arcade in a Steam game
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
When I was younger I always loved the ball rolling games at arcades. Something about the balls clacking around, the noisy machines, buying soda with quarters, paying $1 for microwave pizza, turning in your tokens at the prize counter dreaming of one day getting the big items. It was heaven.
I've tried to recreate all of this in my dream game, a spooky-cozy incremental game about a ball rolling arcade. I thought this community would like it! (And I would love to hear more ideas on how to make it more authentic)
If you're interested in Steam games, we just released our demo and you can wishlist here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5122910/They_Keep_Rolling_Incremental_Ball_Roller/

Buy/Sell/Trade Local Tokyo supplies of boards?
I'll be in Japan next year and wanted to snag some arcade boards while there, I figure they may be cheaper in country than having them shipped, I'll be in the Tokyo area, are there any shops, stores, or companies that sell Arcade boards in the area? Looking for Capcom CPS2 boards mostly for their fighters, and some SNK carts.

Hey Ya'll Check This Out! Most badass intro of all times?
Dont mind the game or the gameplay. Only the intro. Which one, in your humble opinion, was and still is the best intro of any game?
To me it was always Operation Wolf™. When the hero cocked the Uzi, you knew you were in for some serious dirty work!!!
Runner up? There are sooo many but SF2 is pretty sick as well!

Restore/Replace/Repair Screen goes black when booting up
I bought this off fb marketplace a couple years ago and it worked perfectly but one day it suddenly shut off. It's an ICade 60 in 1 so it's basically a bootleg but I was fine with it. When booting up, it says "System initialization" and counts up to 24, where it then just goes black. Power seems to be going through it as the coin slot light is on. Idk much about how to fix arcade machines, and I'm out of town so I can't check it out in person. The pictures provided were from family.
Note: In the little maintenance menu, I disabled many games as I never plan on playing them, which left 24 games, probably not a coincidence.
Thank y'all for the help :)

Buy/Sell/Trade Are they original or reproductions?
Hi🙂
I am helping a friend clear his father's storage building and ran across these marquees. I'm not new to gaming but I am hoping someone here knows a bit more about them and how to verify if they are original or repros.
The plan is to sell them regardless but I want to make sure nobody is getting the short end of the deal since the value varies significantly.
Any help is appreciated and please let me know if you need more pictures or have questions or interested in buying.

WTF is this thing? There's 2 of them now (makes sense as both were seen at the repair pile at the back, which since been cleaned for expansion)
galleryHey Ya'll Check This Out! After about a month and a half of work, my dad and I finished building an arcade cabinet running an emulator.
Running off of batocera with a marquee that changes depending on the game you're currently on. We thought it was also be cool to put smash bros for the switch on it and it works surprisingly well with the arcade layout. Entire project costed just south of $1000. Definitely not perfection but it's something we can add too overtime and we're definitely proud of.
