Just installed the latest iOS update.

While at home, searched a cafe and hit directions. Wanted to see directions from work.
In previous version, I could add work address as a stop and then press down on My location to see the delete option.

I can no longer delete my location in the directions. This means I can’t calculate distances between two places, unless one is my location.

Help!

This is my view. It knows where I am and what direction I’m facing, and I can even still navigate. The map itself will just not load even if I change it to satellite view etc. I rely on some other apps that are connected to Apple maps, and the maps on those will not load either. Google maps still works just fine.

All network and location settings are on for Apple Maps and all other apps. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, and restarted my phone multiple times.

A few weeks ago my phone ran out of storage and I needed to temporarily delete maps in order to take some photos. I don’t know if it’s related but I noticed this happened around the same time. Even after reinstalling the issue has persisted. if anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it

I was looking at the Circuit of americas track and noticed the turns have their own unique POI categories. I wasn’t able to add these manually when creating a new poi. but I can remove them for some reason. What’s also strange is why each turn gets an hours of operation? Anyone else know of other ”hidden” categories?

Just curious if I'm misremembering, but I feel like apple maps would continue showing the full map view on the always on display but now when I try it, it only shows the directions at the top while blacking out the rest of the screen on AOD.

Starting to think I was delusional lol.

After 128 days, Apple released DCE to Austin for the F1 Grand Prix. It's the 5th city receiving DCE in 2026. There are now 18 American cities that have the DCE.

Apple Maps removed Sienna, TX in favor of Missouri City, TX.

Does anyone know why?

I live in an unincorporated area of Sienna Plantation bordering Missouri City.

While another portion of Sienna is being incorporated, mine is not.

Why did Apple Maps remove the Sienna location?

I'm conducting a survey about Apple Maps for an academic design research project. I'm looking to understand people's experiences with the app, The survey is open to everyone, including people who use Apple Maps regularly and those who prefer other navigation apps.

Weird experience today, I looked up a Chinese restaurant from my iPhone search bar and it took me to Apple Maps for the location. When I clicked on order (not from a third party mind you) but for their own website I was taken to their “website” which looked a bit different from the usual but saw the prices were higher by 75 cents or more.
Did the same search in Google Maps and it took me to their real site with their real menu prices.

Is this prevalent for other places?

The “documents and data” is up to 14GB. I have no offline maps downloaded and barely use the app. The storage usage has doubled in the last week. Any ideas why? Running iOS 26
