Why no apostrophes in the album title?

I guess this is kind of like the Go-Go's post I made before, but this album seems to be a one off. According to Wikipedia: 'The cover shows the artist as "The Mama's and the Papa's", a grammatical error that has not been corrected on any of the album's reissues.'
