Other (Editable) Disccusion Jews in denial of what is happening

• Upvotes

Has anybody else encountered fellow Jews who are in just plain denial about the increase in Jew hatred? Most of us seem to recognize what is happening but every so often I'd meet somebody who will be "what are you talking about, there isn't any rise in antisemitism" or some very left leaning Jew who just can't believe that the majority of antizionists aren't acting in good faith.

Antizionism is racism

Antizionism is racism,
by Adam Louis-Klein, Thoughts from the centre of the universe (reprinted, by the author, from Hub Canada), 2026-10-15.

As the UK Green Party revives the infamous 1975 “Zionism is racism” resolution, [Adam Louis-Klein traces] the long history of Jewish tokenism in antizionist movements, from Soviet Russia to Iraq to the present. [He also examines] the wave of scholarly and advocacy initiatives confronting antizionism as a distinct hate movement.

This modern-day hate movement has deep historical roots

What Daniel Patrick Moynihan in 1975 called an “infamous act” has returned in our day. On Sunday, Oct. 4, as Jews were celebrating Simchat Torah, the same day on the Hebrew calendar that Hamas and other antizionist militias committed a genocide of Israelis three years earlier, the Green Party in the U.K. passed its own resolution declaring “Zionism is Racism.”

It is as if the Green Party wants to place itself in a lineage of antizionist propaganda, explicitly resuscitating the 1975 UN resolution that was pushed by the Soviet Union and the Arab League.

Notably, the Green Party rejected a resolution that would have stated that “This motion shall not be used to pressure, proscribe or discipline members based on affiliation with Jewish community institutions, such as synagogues, community centres or denominational groups, that describe themselves as Zionist…” In other words, the party explicitly rejected an amendment that would specify that the “Zionism is racism” resolution should not be used to discriminate against Jews. Discrimination is the point.

When nature conservation become a colonial crime: how Israel-hate hijacked environmntal sciences

When nature conservation becomes a colonial crime: how Israel-hate hijacked environmntal sciences,
by Zsuzsanna Ujj, fathom, 2026-10.

Zsuzsanna Ujj maps how in certain segments of academia, Israel’s nature conservation efforts and measures to comply international environmental law are presented as green dispossession. The reintroduction of locally extinct native species is reframed as a hostile act, in which the Persian fallow deer is deployed as an ‘agent of normalization,’ used by the state to advance a ‘colonial conservation project.’

Environmental protection has long operated on a shared, global consensus: that safeguarding endangered habitats and species is an objective scientific good. Yet a quiet shift within Western academic literature is subverting this empirical foundation, turning the hard sciences of ecology, biodiversity conservation, as well as climate change mitigation and adaptation into an ideological weapon.

Academic antizionism has built three pillars that sustain its ideology: settler-colonialism as the main framework to understand environmental problems, denying the indigeneity of Jews in Palestine, and a romanticised picture of Indigenous Peoples.

Reputable scientific journals publish academic articles, where routine ecological management is no longer evaluated through biodiversity metrics, compliance with legal obligations, or resource sustainability; instead, it is systematically recast as an instrument of ‘green dispossession,’ ‘ecocide,’ and ‘colonial violence,’ particularly when taking place in Israel.

Some of my so-called friends are antisemites.

This weekend, a political conversation between two friends turned into a full-throated defense of antisemitism. Conspiracy theories. Hatred. And what disturbed me the most wasn't the bigotry itself — it was how comfortable they were. No hesitation. No second-guessing as if the expectation was that all would nod in agreement.

I told them, to their faces: I don't consider bigots and antisemites friends. I consider them my enemies.

They didn't push back. The conversation just stopped. And the rest of the trip, nobody brought it up. But I can't stop thinking about it. Those words can never be unsaid.

I'm not Jewish. But I'm telling you this: if you are not Jewish, it is your job — your non-negotiable, public, loud job — to reject antisemitism every single time you see it or hear it. Not a quiet "that's not nice." Not a shrug. A confrontation. A name. A line drawn in the open where others can see it.

If I lose friends over it. That's fine. I will love my Jewish friends and family even if they don't know me.

We are watching antisemitism seep back into public discourse the way it always has — slowly, then all at once. Everyone wants to believe that if they were witnessing the rise of Hitler, they would speak out against it. Or if they were alive during slavery, they would fight for liberty. Well here we are. Now is the time to speak up.

Could not believe the misinformed and ignorant posts on a sports forum about the Jewish owner and his Woke coach. Kids today don’t seem to understand basic facts about Islam, Israel or the entire Middle East. I read a great article about the racialization of the media in Tablet Magazine. How has the general consensus been moved to the assumption that Israel is a villain?

What trade union do you believe is the least hostile to Jewish people? I don't trust the union I'm a member of (it's one of the biggies) to support me with workplace antisemitism should it arise and I want to switch. And also if you do have personal experience of dealing with this with your union am keen to hear about your experience.

Rant/Advice How do you deal with casual antisemitism?

Hi guys,

I just had a talk with some anti-far-right activists. I am visiting my parents when my dad suddenly mentioned Greta Thunberg and how she was at an anti-Israel protest in Berlin on October 7th. Why he chose this topic is beyond me. This led to a discussion in which those activists accused Israel of genocide and the "Greater Israel" plan, and insinuated that Israel purposefully lowered security prior to October 7th. They also talked about kids being killed, the Naza doc, how the truth is being suppressed by the mainstream media in Germany, and how the genocide libel isn't a libel because of the recent Nobel Prize winner.

My parents are interested in politics, but they've never been exposed to those activists in real life. I was the only one rejecting these accusations as politely as I could—politely because I know these people and I'll see them again. They will ask me about this for sure.

Long story short, I'm still dealing with this conversation. I wish I had better arguments. But how do you reply to someone who thinks Al Jazeera is a great source? Who replies to everything with "but babies died"? Or excuses terror by saying that Palestinians have basically no other choice?

Just a rant, but if you have advice, it'd be much appreciated

Islamist NYC only 3 years after oct7th; والقادم أعظم = "the worst is yet to come"

the 3 year anniversary of the oct'7th massacre from gaza into israel is here
and sure enough nyc democrats will be pro palestine demonstrating that day;

https://x.com/WOLPalestine/status/2107163375650431359

not much is remarkable here; the usual hate israel, jew, america groups
but hidden in this flyer is an omitted translation of that arabic side text;

"Glory to the martyrs, victory to the resistance, (that's translated)
and what is coming is greater." (is the part intentionally omitted).

that second part, is implied to anyone familiar with arabic as
conquest aka the ultimate final victory, which can be interpreted
in one or both of two ways;

jewish destruction with "israel" now fully under muslim control.

democracy destruction with "america" fully under sharia law.

this is what the liberal white american useful idiots are supporting,
not only the demise of the only allies jewish democracy among all
55 muslims nations, but the end of western civilization as we know it.

muslims transmitting their concealed taqiyya objectives in plain sight.

Government/Institutional Haverford College professor Guangtian Ha arrested for online harassment and intimidation

The following message from President Wendy Raymond was sent to the College community on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

Friends:

Earlier today, Professor Guangtian Ha was arrested and charged with online harassment and intimidation. I am deeply distressed by these allegations and want to state in the plainest of terms that any form of harassment or discrimination based on identity is unacceptable, antithetical to our values, and has no place at Haverford.

Professor Ha, who was on sabbatical leave and not teaching this academic year, has been placed on administrative leave and barred from campus while the criminal process moves forward. A representative of the College has been in contact with the individuals targeted by these heinous online attacks, which were antisemitic in nature. I also want to thank the FBI, Haverford Township Police Department, and Campus Safety for aiding in the investigation.

I am heartbroken and furious at the possibility that an individual within our community would seek to inflict such pain on another. This disturbing news is made even more harmful for many given its proximity to both the Jewish High Holidays and the third anniversary of the October 7 attacks.

Please know that resources are available should you need them, including counseling, spiritual care, and Campus Safety (listed below). CAPS counselors will also be available for drop-in sessions today from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The charged professor is a member of faculty for Justice in Palestine. Part of the indictment alleges he operated at least 4 separate anonymous X accounts and sent a photo of the victim’s home mailbox to the victim on social media, along with messages such as “If Jews are so special then they should be placed in special camps and receive special treatments,” "Jew, get the fuck out of my country" "Jew pig, get the fuck out of Lower Merion," “LM jews are going to have it big time, jew. Remember this. You scums have had it too easy. Goyim are taking America back, blood-guzzling demons."
