- Content must be related to anti-MLM topics — awareness, education, cult tactics, compensation plan breakdowns, personal experience, etc.
- Keep it respectful, even when you’re roasting some pyramid-shaped logic.

Bravenly Hun is ‘writing’ a book. Pour one out for the editor that draws the short straw for this, or for ChatGPT.

Discussion Anyone remember old podcasts like "Qblog Radio" and "Quixtar Inside and Out"?
These were active around 2006-07, and dealt with problems in Quixtar/Amway, and MLM more generally, in a (mostly) serious way. The first was run by Eric Janssen (sp), who IIRC was tragically killed in an accident a few years back. The other was run by "Truth", real name unknown. I'd be curious to know what he is up to these days.
There were a few other podcasts and blogs pretty active around the same time. It was a golden age for anti-MLM podcasts as I recall.

Rant Suggesting mlm to women in trades support programs
I’m furious, I’m applying for a pre employment program for women in trades that supports removing barriers for women trying to get financial freedom through the trades
And when talking about options for affording the program outside of the funding they have available was to A. Bake and then sell your baking B. Get creative with home businesses and C. Straight to our face she says sell mlm products, my jaw hit the floor thank god my camera was off bc I can’t make waves because I realllyyyyy need this program bc no one is hiring for first year pipefitters and I desperately want it but like damn lady that is the worst thing to say to vulnerable women

Bravenly Bun claims that MLMs are not cults because they don't wear matching robes. However, they do have matching posts.

Story I can’t 😂
Of course all of the comments are telling how her much they love it, what a great idea it is. It looks like there were some blunt comments that ended up being deleted.
Also, I didn’t see a Norwex flair?

Rant If you hear this phrase, run
I went to an interview for hmg careers. It wasn’t an interview but a woman talking to us without answering any questions. Then we were transferred to a man who was talking a lot without answering a lot of questions.
What made me hang up on the meeting was this phrase,
“We are the McDonald’s of insurance companies.”
I heard the almost exact same phrase when I went to a similar meeting for Primerica. Of course all they wanted was that you buy their course first before you make any money.
I think it’s the same thing for HMG.
Literally Primerica rebranded.

Discussion Shaklee
I’m just curious. Will it ever go under? My social media feed is flooded with shaklee huns. It seems like most of them used to do Beachbody which makes it even more cringe. Is this sustainable long term or will this one eventually fold as well?

Amway Team mak youth camp
Anyone else on here getting sucked into a youth camp by their parents?
I was made to go by my parents for 3 years to the team mak youth camp in Australia 12-15 years ago and while it was fun at times, it included a lot of fun activities like surfing and high ropes. I look back at it now and holy crap the manipulation was insane.

Discussion Did you ever witness\attend cultish stuff beside the scam aspect of mlm?
My mom is a psychologist and she told me MLM sometimes function as literal cults with ranks, leader worship, secular(?) rituals, peer pressure, brainwashing (sic), and so on.
I studied a lot about my Republic's youth political landscape with the stuff about redpill, alpha courses, such discourses which are pipelines to selling scam or faulty products and services. I even knew a person whom was scammed and involved in, Generacion Zoe (imo that was more of a ponzi scheme tho?).
Is this a real thing? Do MLMs devolve into irl cults, or is it just very isolated instances of this happening?

Bravenly It's never been about the product, just admit that your pyramid is crumbling, and that people are leaving faster than you can replace them.
