First AMV, any feedback is appreciated!

I noticed that the Youtube channel Kenny Creates (Obitos Despair) is no longer available along with all of its amazing videos (mainly AMVs).

For example:
Naruto AMV - No Happy Endings

I think the link used to be this: https://www.youtube.com/@OnlyKenny

I would very much like to see those videos again - does anyone know where to find them or perhaps have an archive of them?

Does anyone know what happened? Why it disappeared?

AMV editors u know the struggle of remembering a scene perfectly but having no idea which episode or timestamp it's in 😭

That's why I'm building Tempo. Describe the scene, find it in your footage, and drop it straight into your AE timeline. It will be released very soon.

Curious how you guys would use it. Any feedback ?

The video I am looking for was one that I watched on youtube a few years ago that I believe got taken down. From my memory, It had millions of views and the song used in the video was Wasted by Juice WRLD and Lil Uzi Vert. I think it got copyrighted striked and I can’t find it anywhere. It’s my favorite AMV and it would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help me find it!

I've tried both Premiere Pro and After Effects, and so far, I've found After Effects faster and more convenient for this particular workflow. The layer-based timeline makes it easier to move clips around and rearrange the sequence, whereas Premiere Pro often requires keyboard shortcuts to achieve the same results. I'm curious to hear how other editors approach this. Do you use AE, Premiere Pro, or something else entirely?

fucking LOVE how this one turned out. thought it'd be fun to "lip match" some of the lyrics to Kaneda's mouth movements best i could, same with Kai saying "dag, yall!"

Looking for an AMV Discord server where people share their edits, give feedback, and talk about editing. Any recommendations?

my first ever AMV
thinking about adding text integrated with the background but have no idea how to do it lol

Hey r/AMV,

Trying to track down an old AMV-style compilation and figured this community might know it.

What I remember:

· Content: A montage of "Gainaxing" — the exaggerated bouncing animation style from Studio Gainax (Gunbuster, Diebuster, FLCL, Gurren Lagann, Mahoromatic, etc.)

· Where it aired: G4's Attack of the Show, likely in the "Around the Net" segment, sometime around 2009. The show often featured fan-made AMVs, so this may have originated here or on YouTube.

· Music: A repetitive upbeat track or sound effect loop that went "boom boom boom ba boom ba boom boom" over and over (vague, I know lol)

· Era: Likely late 2000s YouTube AMV scene

I've searched on my own without luck. Does this ring a bell for anyone? Even a title or creator name would help me track it down. It's been stuck in my head for 17 years!

Thanks!

Excited to share my latest Fate/strange Fake AMV (with a bit of Fate/Grand Order)! It actually took 2nd place in a recent contest. Hope you guys enjoy it!

Because I couldn't find the original anime anymore I utilized Bing Bong 2.0's "I shortened Berserk's 24/5th episode down to about two minutes" for all the visuals to give credit where credits due. I still edited his edit to suit the beat, but this video would not exist without them 🙏

I made another one..... hope you enjoy it's FLCL x Lemon Demon.

I’m looking for someone who is both a big Naruto/Shippuden fan and an AMV/video editor who might be interested in helping me create a cinematic Naruto edit.
I’m completely open to this being either a paid commission or just a creative collaboration, depending on what you prefer and what’s allowed here.
The idea is a little different from a normal AMV.
I’m trying to make something that feels almost like a short Naruto mini-film, specifically for someone who has never really given Naruto a chance and currently thinks the series is kind of corny/not very deep.
Naruto has always been my favorite anime because I related heavily to him growing up. I dealt with bullying, social rejection, social anxiety, and grew up without much of a father figure, so Naruto’s childhood loneliness and the importance he eventually places on relationships/bonds hit very close to home for me.
The goal of the edit would be to show both:
1. why Naruto as a character means so much to me
and
2. how emotionally/philosophically deep Naruto can actually get.
The Pain Arc would be the centerpiece.
I’m imagining something roughly like:
Naruto’s childhood loneliness → slowly finding people who care about him → Jiraiya → losing Jiraiya → Pain/Nagato and the cycle of hatred → destruction of Konoha → Naruto arriving → Naruto vs Pain → Hinata → Naruto losing control → Nine-Tails → Minato appearing → Naruto meeting his father → Naruto confronting Nagato → choosing to break the cycle instead of continuing it
I especially want to use Pain’s cycle of hatred philosophy because I want the viewer to understand that Pain isn’t just “evil anime villain #37.” His argument genuinely challenges Naruto’s worldview.
I also want the Minato scene from Episode 168 to be one of the emotional peaks.
One really important thing:
I don’t want to pick every scene myself.
I’m specifically looking for someone who knows Naruto well enough to think of scenes, dialogue, callbacks, parallels, symbolism, etc. on their own.
For example, someone who might say:
“This Part 1 scene would perfectly foreshadow what Pain says here.”
or
“We should show this childhood Naruto scene before cutting back to adult Naruto.”
That creative Naruto knowledge is just as important to me as technical editing ability.
Stylistically, I’m looking for a mixture of:
• emotional/cinematic storytelling
• dialogue from the anime
• music
• sound design
• slower moments that are allowed to breathe
• intense fight editing when the Pain battle escalates
• callbacks between childhood Naruto and Shippuden Naruto
I don’t want the whole thing to just be nonstop shakes/transitions/effects. I want the effects to serve the story.
Some references for the kind of emotional energy I like:

https://youtu.be/18foq__Yut0
Spoilers are completely fine. Actually, spoilers are encouraged if they make the edit better. The goal is basically to make someone finish it thinking:
“Wait… Naruto gets THIS good? I kind of want to watch this now.”
If anyone here is interested, please comment or DM me with some of your work.
And if you’re a hardcore Naruto fan, I’d love if you also answered this:
What 3 scenes would you personally use to show Naruto’s childhood loneliness/need for connection to someone who has never watched the series?
That’ll help me find someone who really understands what I’m trying to make.
Thanks 🍥
