Sensor Open/Close Logging
Is there a way for the sensor door/open notification to log in the timeline without using secret alerts? Each time a door is opened or closed in my house EVERY CAMERA takes a video and it drains the ones that run on batteries. I just want to know when a door is opened/closed without having to announce it. I need to know this information when I am away and the kids are home alone or something like that. HELPPPPP!

It’s always logged in history as long as you have SAM (Sensor Activity Monitoring) active.
You may need to adjust your video rules. Perhaps, you are using cloud rules when you should have a CSVR or using MicroSD in the cameras? What make/model are they?
Also, you can have notifications setup for doors left open after a set amount of time.

For the announcing- depending your panel type, you may be able who just turn down the volume. Or you should be able to do it at the panel, again depending on the panel type.
For the video happening when a sensor is opened, i think that would be an automation rule. You can find that in the app go to More, then automation. You can either toggle them off to disable them, or delete them.

So the announcing part you can turn off on your panel. For the log, if you look in activity in your Alarm. com app it should show when a sensor is opened or closed. As far as the video goes you can adjust the rule but I don’t have enough info to tell you exactly what to adjust.
