Ask the Aggies Attendance dishonesty
Howdy aggs,
I need some help on a situation. A professor handed out attendance in class today. A friend of mine asked me to sign them in for them. I understand this is a rule violation, but I was fairly sure I had seen them in class. I know their schedule is tight and leaving class late makes them late to their work. Therefore I figured that me signing them in wouldnt have been a huge issue since I was under the impression that they just didnt have the time to stick around after class to sign in. However the professor saw me doing this, and has asked me to meet with them tomorrow. What can I expect in this meeting, and how big of a mess have I gotten myself into.
Thank you for all your help in advance.

Sports [No Paywall] Ranking college footballās biggest underachievers of all time: Why Texas A&M is No. 1
When Jimbo Fisher took over Texas A&M before the 2018 season, administrators famously gave him a national championship plaque with the date left blank.
The Aggies are still waiting.
Their 3-3 start this season has effectively eliminated them from the College Football Playoff picture despite having one of college footballās most expensive rosters and highest-paid coaches (Fisherās successor, Mike Elko), and a top-10 preseason ranking.
Another season of squandered potential leads to a question sure to inspire thoughtful debate on TexAgs: Is Texas A&M college footballās biggest historical underachiever, or does someone else have a better claim?
To find out, The Athletic crunched two sets of numbers for teams in the Football Bowl Subdivision. We gauged a programās potential using:
⢠Finances (two decades of athletic revenue, as reported to the U.S. Department of Education)
⢠Proximity to talent (how many NFL players were born in the state)
⢠Talent acquisition (how many NFL Draft picks a school has produced in the common era)
⢠Fanbase size (stadium capacity)
We then weighed those factors against a programās success: winning percentage, conference championships, top-25 finishes and national titles in the Associated Press poll era (since 1936). We also looked at how many times a program went from preseason Top 25 to unranked.
Who are the biggest underachievers in college football?

For Animal Stats (ANSC 3011), we are tasked with creating a statistical analysis. My group formulated a theory that education level and political awareness may impact how people consume beef. If you're interested in helping us out, fill out the form!

Academics Medical anthropology?
Hi. I am working on my PhD application for Medical Anthropology. My plan is to apply this cycle for the Fall of 2027. I have about 6 universities in mind.
Currently, I am drafting my statement of purpose and fine tuning some aspects related to the arguments I am making, and would appreciate if someone is interested in this area (medical humanities in general, I would say) and willing to do some brainstorming with me.

Ask the Aggies I don't know if this is right for me?
How do I get involved? I genuinely find myself bored around TAMU. For context, I am a freshman engineering major. This place really makes me feel boring asf. I have no car and live off-campus. Life couldn't turn out worse than this combo. Furthermore, it's not like I haven't tried joining organizations. I joined a few engineering related orgs, but I still feel like I wake up, cook, go to classes, come back and work, and finally go back to sleep, and it just keeps repeating itself. I am really considering transferring, but my parents make above average incomes together, so there is no need based aid. Also, the only way my parents would support a transfer is if I go to an engineering school that is better than TAMU. My parents have made it pretty clear that they are having to shrink their spending for my college, and they will only contribute what TAMU costs if I decide to transfer.

Ask the Aggies Anonymously report someone to aggie honor council?
Howdy, so I'm aware of this guy (thru my roommate) who constantly cheats on his exams (like phone pulled out in class during examš). He also says weird questionable/offensivd things and overall is a nuisance. I tried to report him to AHC but I couldn't find an anonymous way to do so. Obviously id like to, but since ive only heard ab this guy and have never actually seen him cheat, I dont have tangible evidence...and since its only rumors, I (or roommate) dont want our name associated with reporting him. Any advice?

Ask the Aggies Is it true that Texas A&M is very conservative?
Iām looking to see how conservative it really is, preferably from the perspective of a minority although anything is appreciated. I donāt mind some conservativeness (to be expected), I just dont wanna get mauled you know. Specifically the veterinary programs, if that helps any
edit: to clarify, iām visibly queer

Ask the Aggies Alternatives to mays
Howdy, I am a prospective transfer student and I have been looking into different options outside of mays because of the sheer difficulty in transferring to mays. Some of the options that I have looked into that are business adjacent include ag business, sports management and Econ. If anyone has any recommendations or is in one of these majors and can offer me any help I would appreciate it very much. Gig em!

Venting How to manage Junior year ELEN
Howdy Ags. I am currently a junior in ELEN and I was wondering how to deal with all of the classes. I get so easily stressed and I just feel so overwhelmed with things. Everyday, there's just so much content, more exams to study for and what not. Any past ELEN majors/engineering majors that can drop some advice?
