Laseraway nurses
How was Laseraway and how long did you work there? And what are you doing now?

I'm a nurse who's been injecting for about two years and I'm starting to notice a pattern I didn't expect. Patients who come back year after year sometimes mention things that don't match what I learned in training — muscles that feel different, results that don't last like they used to, or small asymmetries that keep coming back in the same spot. I'm not sure if I'm imagining it or if this is just something that comes with the territory.
So I'm asking the people who've been doing this way longer: what do your long-term patients actually complain about? Not the one-off stuff — the recurring themes from people who've been coming in for five-plus years. Is it mostly "I need more units now," or do you hear things about texture, movement, or recovery that you didn't anticipate?
Genuinely trying to learn from people with more seat time than me.

I’d appreciate any insight from experienced injectors. Ok, so basically what the title says. I’m an aesthetic RN with about 1.5 years experience in a medspa setting. I’m at a low-volume clinic, and I’m not doing as many reps in tox and filler as I would like which is why I’m thinking of going elsewhere. I recently received an offer for a full-time, higher paying injector position at a chain medspa where all I would do is tox and filler. But… the chain has a 10k repayment penalty if I leave before a year, they require me to get an out of state license for “growth and advancement purposes” even though I won’t be practicing in that state (the state isn’t a compact state and it’s where they’re headquartered), and their requirement for the out of state license, BLS cert, and malpractice insurance isn’t reimbursed. Also, it’s mandatory Fridays and Saturdays, no current health insurance offered in the state I’m in (they say they’re actively working on it), and PTO equates to a little under 9 days for the year. If I grit my teeth for the year, could this be a career boost given that I’d be doing back to back injections? Or are there too many red flags for this role? I’m curious to hear other’s thoughts.
TLDR; Aesthetic RN considering a higher-paying chain medspa job for more injection experience, but the $10K repayment penalty, mandatory weekends, unreimbursed expenses and limited PTO are concerning. Is the experience worth the trade-offs?

Hi! I’m trying to break into Aesthetics but I’m having a tough time. I’m open to working in North Houston, Spring, Tomball, The Woodlands, Conroe, Montgomery, and Huntsville TX.
I have 3 years ICU exp, I’m a relief charge nurse, can do ultrasound guided IVs (I’m great with needles), I’ve shadowed an Aesthetics MD, and I’m signed up for a Botox/filler cert course.
I’m open to driving an hour to work, I just can’t find ANYthing that isn’t sketchy and is willing to train a new RN Injector. Anybody know of someone hiring?
How the heck did you guys break into this field? I’m having a hard time even living so close to a huge city.

Any work for Laser Away within the last 6 months??? Trying to gauge the environment. Would like to stay with them for at least 2 years and gain some injectable/micro-needling experience.

Hey everyone! I work on the marketing/automation side for an aesthetics business, and I’m curious how other nurses/injectors are doing with getting consistent patients right now.
I’d love to hear from people actually in the industry:
- Are you getting most of your patients from referrals, social media, or paid ads?
- Are you currently happy with the number/quality of leads you’re getting?
- What’s been your biggest challenge with marketing?
- Do you handle your own follow-ups, or do you have someone helping with that?
I’m especially interested in connecting with other aesthetic nurses/injectors who are growing their own practice. Happy to share what we’ve been testing on the marketing side as well.
Not trying to turn this into a sales pitch — genuinely looking to connect with people in the industry and learn what’s working for them. 🙂

Hello! New aesthetic RN here! I recently was offered a position at a med spa! I’m really enjoying it so far.
I am a novice injector and took some courses recently I learned in my courses to do 2:1 when using Xeomin on frontalis, orbicularis oculi, nasalis and 1:1 Xeomin on glabella, DAO, mentalis. I suppose the rationale behind this was to control spread which I understand and that the volume in the syringe would vary depending on what the dilution is vs amount of units. When I told this to the NP mentoring me at my new job, she didn’t know anything about this practice. The last time she took classes was years ago. She just did standard 2.5ml for xeomin I suppose this left me confused on what best practice is

Hi! I’m currently in LVN school (over half way through yay!) I’m just considering my options post school & possibly how to stack my experiences. Any LVN/LPNs in aesthetics? I know in FL they allow us to do injections but not in CA :/ does anyone know any what the scope of practice is for an LVN/LPN in aesthetics if there is any?

Hi, I really want to get into the injecting industry and am willing to take the training classes but I know it’s hard to get into the field and get experience after that, is there any injector who’d be willing to train me and let me get experience if I work for free in the spa or if I pay you for mentorship?

I am currently I certified laser technician and licensed esthetician in the state of Arizona in the Chanlder / Phoenix area. I am thinking of going back to school to become RN w BSN to ultimately become a nurse injector. The school I became a laser technician at has a great credible course for nurse injection so that would be my last stop. I work at a med spa currently that’s always expanding and the owner said even years down the road he can almost guarantee me a spot as a nurse injector . I’m wondering if for you all the cost and time investment into schooling was worth it for you in terms of how much you make now. Also any advice for this process would be greatly appreciated

Hi! I’m interested in aesthetic nursing, especially lasers, microneedling, and other skin-focused treatments. Injectables make me a little nervous because of the liability, so I’m wondering if it’s realistic to build a career mainly around non-injectables.
I’m in California, you need to be an RN or other medical professional to do lasers and microneedling.
How would I go about pursuing this career path?
Thank you! 💗

Hi everyone! I had an interview with a med spa on Tuesday and wanted some advice on whether I should follow up.
I don’t have any med spa/aesthetic experience yet, but I saw a post from the owner looking for an NP or PA. I’m an RN, so I knew I wasn’t exactly what she was looking for, but I decided to reach out anyway. She told me to send over my résumé, and we eventually set up an interview.
She mentioned that their interview process is three rounds. The first round was mainly getting to know each other and talking about my background. At the end of the interview, she specifically said to expect a follow-up for the second round, which would be with the manager.
My question is: should I send a quick follow-up email thanking her for her time and saying I’m looking forward to hearing from her, or should I just wait it out since she already said she would follow up?
I don’t want to come across as pushy, especially since it’s only been a couple of days. What would you guys do?

Has anyone been successful in getting clients from Reddit? FB and Instagram feel oversaturated. I haven’t gotten into threads.
I’m trying to explore different areas.
