I was started on guanfacine before a stimulant, which guanfacine blocks adrenaline and this is literally what I’m experiencing right now. Like I can’t even do fun things. Helps in a lot of other ways though
Yeah I started guanfacine and then Vyvanse with it soon after, and relate to OP. I had really bad RSD and anxiety and that’s gotten a bit better but it’s gone from “I need to be on time at work or they’ll hate me” to “I should be on time but just don’t care enough” and am frequently late.
I’m taking both, i just meant i started the guanfacine first for about two weeks before adding vyvanse. They address different issues, but i think guanfacine is really helpful for reducing my “threat response” / fight or flight reaction in normal situations.
