I’m the ADHD-er who remembers about two dreams per year.

Same, though I feel like I remember them more often when my energy levels/mental health are good.

That would explain why I havent been remembering my dreams at all for.. quite some time

I slept for over 24 hours straight once a year and a half ago and actually had a real vivid dream that I still remember clearly. That's the only dream I remember since I was a child.

Same. And when I wake up, I’m AWAKE. It’s the rare time Lani can fall back asleep and have those crazy snooze button dreams. Or nap dreams. I hate nap dreams.

I didnt know this was an adhd thing. I have the craziest intensive dreams that feel so real and it feels like an full 8 hours ☠️

Me too. It's exhausting

It’s not an ADHD thing

Does anyone wake up extremely exhausted because of this

Weed makes dreams a thing of the past.

Break?

Fair point

As someone with bad adhd, I find it quite offensive when people use weed as a crux. Like, stop trying to blame it on something else. Always a fucking excuse with some people. Its usually the same people that will blame anything else for their shortcomings other than themselves. Anyway. Rant over.

ADHD and Autism is a pretty strong predictor of substance abuse issues, so whilst I take your point, I don't think you should be getting upset at people for being susceptible to something they are neurologically far more vulnerable to.

I haven't smoked in years myself, but I certainly remember very well how addiction issues surrounded my life. I have been able to move on, but I never judge people for being vulnerable.

Do you have an adhd diagnosis?

3

u/theblue-danoob 1d ago

Yes, I do

Oh okay, stoner.

I just told you I don't smoke weed anymore but whatever you need to keep attacking and gatekeeping, I suppose.

And even then, it's not an insult. I believe the latest stats put it at around 88% of people diagnosed with ADHD or autism will suffer from addiction at some point in their life, but you do you.

All the best.

Oh I absolutely love my dreams. They feel almost like movies most of the time, and they usually make far more sense than "usual people" dreams. I mean they do still have that dream logic that most have, like there could be a Walmart but it's really an airport because it just is, but usually my dreams have actual sequences of actions and consequences and I love itttt

Have you tried to run in a gallop in a dream? Its actually faster than running on two legs! And you can also jump higher and farther.

I like "chasing" dreams type now, I even change dream's plot to "chasing" sometimes, to have a reason to race in a gallop, lol.

Are you perhaps a therian /lh (I am and no, I haven't, because my dreams are very rarely lucid. I literally just watch them like movies, either from first or third pov, usually switching between the two)

2

u/Andrey_Gusev 1d ago

Well, I am not a therian, but nearly all my dreams are lucid, as a safety mechanism against constant nightmares that haunted me since kindergarden age.

2

u/Additional_Mark397 1d ago

Aa.... Well, I really never have nightmares, my dreams range from absolutely gleeful happy dilly dally, through action movies all the way to what the fuck......... And I love them all tbh

3

u/SamSchroedinger 1d ago

Love those dreams but on the same time i hate what a waste of time they are cause i regularly ignore getting out of bed early to dream a little longer

I either don't remember at all, or they're basically like getting warped into a new reality. And they usually have really annoying little details, like my phone charger breaking, so then I wake up thinking I can't charge my phone

Yeah fuck i thought its just me im having super realistic dreams , and i always worry im referencing something i dreamt instead of something that actually happened
