I thought about how different boomers grew up compared to us.

Will we drive as slow?

Will we read newspapers and watch soap operas? Knit?

Will we look and feel as old as they appear?

Will we have a sense of entitlement and be as prone to take a “Karen” meltdown?

Will we carry around mysterious candies only seen at the dollar store?

Will we prefer convertible vehicles?

Will we be able to keep up with technology?

Will we have that old people smell? Purchase awful perfumes and colognes?

Edit: And please no doom and gloom/world ending/never being able to retire/own a home posts 🫩. Let’s make this a fun discussion.

I was a bit guilty of it myself, lol.

LOL

THPS2 had such an awesome variety of tunes, I still have the majority of them downloaded on my phone.

Trainspotting cemented New Order as one of my favorite bands of all time, and introduced me to Underworld ( *very* surprised to hear "Dark and Long Train" sampled recently by pinkpantheress' "illegal" )

JSRF is just absolutely legendary, and deepened my love of hiphop, electronic, edm, etc.

Toonami and [adult swim] bumpers had awesome music that really got me into jungle and ambient dnb. Anime too of course: Cowboy Bebop got me into jazz, and I got hooked on Nujabes because of Samurai Champloo.

Share yours if ya got it.

Riding free before we had to suffer from car payments lol

Like I remember her comeback album Circus being talked about in 08 as though she was returning after 10-15 years or something. I can’t believe I’m now the same age (29) she was when working on her Femme Fatale album.

Its insane cause at this point of Hold it Against Me and Till the World Ends, I thought she’d been famous literally forever and still consider this era her “newer” music comeback era post breakdown when she was older, but she was literally not the 30 yet?! like wtf!?!!

She was the same age Sabrina carpenter is now when making Circus!!! I consider Sabrina a new artist that’s still just getting started how tf was Britney considered comeback status??

ignorance really is bliss lol
