show in Amsterdam last night…
Last night Thug performed in AFAS Live, Amsterdam, and me and my friends were extremely psyched. We had waited since 2015 to see him live and after 11 years, i have to say it was a huge disappointment.
Basically from 19:30 - 21:55 it was just the New generation - Tezzus, diamond* and all those guys. Quite long and tedious if you ask me, but giving them a lot time on stage I can understand - seeing as that’s how Gunna and Lil Keed started and whatever. Giving them good exposure builds the brand, but this was just overkill.
The real kicker is that Thug only performed for less than an hour - 20 minutes of that performing songs from SL3 - AGAIN with Tezzus and all of them.
He did like one minute of Ski at 22:00, then did 20 min of SL3 slop (only Bvlgari is kinda hard imo but that’s besides the point), and from 22:20 - 23:00 Thug decided to rush through his whole catalogue, never doing a second verse and sometimes only doing the hook.
In The Netherlands, by law, you can’t go on after the time the doors close, which was at 23:00. Apparently Thug wasn’t aware of this until like 22:30, when it was way too late. From this time on you could see him communicate with his DJ and cutting off songs cause of the time restrictions.
Seeing as tickets for this show were going for €60 and a friend of mine even paid €110, I wouldn’t even label this as a disappointment, but I think you can classify it as a scam.
Nothing about this show was up to par, and i hate to agree with the last post about the Houston show, but I’ve seen Gunna twice in the last two years and it was a way better experience.
