With the conclusion of the Delaware primaries tonight, we will be officially full-swing into the final midterm push, with only the general elections ahead of us, on November 3rd. All 435 seats in the US House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 seats in the US Senate will be contested to determine the 120th United States Congress; alongside 36 state Governor seats that need to be elected.
And we're going to pick em!
Show off your prediction skills and demonstrate your analytical superiority by participating in our r/YAPms prediction contest! Entering is easy, all you have to do is comment below. You can provide a Senate, House, and/or Governor prediction map (enter predictions for as many contests as you like) in the form of a link to your map from YAPms. (Please only use the YAPms maps linked below.)
Please do not change the regions/parties settings, including colors. Otherwise, as long as you link to your map so I can access it and evaluate it after the election, then you are entered!
After the election results are reported, I will evaluate all entries and create a post detailing the results. You will graded/ranked on if you predicted the overall winning party and how well your margins line up with the results along the Tilt/Lean/Likely/Safe scale. I'm going with a non-traditional margin set up of 2/5/10!! VERY IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THIS.
The scoring is as follows:
Please do not leave tossups in your map. Remember, 2/5/10 margins!
Want to change your prediction after you have submitted? Edit your comment with the link to your updated prediction! Predictions will be locked on November 3rd, 2026 @ 11 AM Eastern Standard Time.
Good luck and have fun! Let me know if you have any questions.

Apologies if this breaks the "lazy twitter screenshot" rule but this is too absurd to not bring up to this sub.
Both clearly Boomers who had no idea what a midterm was but wanted to vote for Trump

Jay Rockefeller for example was duking it out with Obama himself on who was more liberal according to both ADA and CPAC's member ratings, but in '08 Rockefeller won in a 27 point landslide even as West Virginians voted to reject Obama's dark vision for America by 13 points.
Clifford Case meanwhile was a republican from what was then a swing state in NJ, but nonetheless he was voting about as liberally as Ted Kennedy according to both ADA and CPAC in the 70s.
