Discussion Basic Questions, Please

I am thinking of diving back into The X Files. Since the show ended back in 2002, I've only seen the 2nd movie, and that's it, really. Regarding continuity: 5 seasons, 1st film, seasons 6-9, 2nd film, plus the 2 revival seasons. The Long Gunmen runs parallel to TXF S8. Millennium is optional watching but can be skipped over of just focusing on TXF & TLG, is that right? Additionally, I'm a Christian, and I'd like to skip the "evil" themed episodes. Is it worth making a list, or just skip to the next episode if one becomes too much? I don't recall the show doing this that often. Back during first run, it felt like they only did the "eviiiiiil" thing maybe once a year. Anyway. Hello!!!!

Yeah that’s basically it.

Regarding the evil bit. I must admit, that’s a bit too vague for me to answer. That said, I find that many episodes deal with religion in a way that would likely be okay for those who are religious.

Oh, I don't mind the show doing religion themed episodes. I think they did a witch themed episode early in the series? I was a kid, and my mom totally flipped over that one. LOL

pretty sure the devil makes an appearance in season 2, but the episode is about average-joe satanists in what is ultimately not a positive light. Not sure if you'd want to avoid that or embrace it!

Start with Season 4 Episode 2. Everything else will seem tame by comparison. Then start back at the very beginning.

With the exception of Home, I can't think of any specific episodes that will test your religious faith. My God made that? Taken as a whole however, you may end up re-thinking your belief system. It all depends on how you interpret everything.
