Is it just me, or is this game becoming increasingly frustrating because of certain tanks that are basically the same overpowered BS with slightly different designs?
Take the GAU-8 Black and the M163 VADS, for example. They’re basically the same ridiculous autocannon concept, except the M163 is smaller and even more annoying to deal with.
Then there’s the Wiesel MK1 and the XM800T. Again, practically the same BS. Small, fast, annoying vehicles that can absolutely shred you before you even have a proper chance to react.
And don’t even get me started on the Object 477A Molot and Object 490B. Both are ridiculously armored tanks that can feel almost impossible to deal with in certain situations.
What frustrates me the most is that I can have a genuinely great match in something like the T-80BV or the T-72BU, get 5–6 kills, play carefully and then suddenly get destroyed by someone driving one of these exact tanks.
It feels like no matter how well you play, there’s always some ridiculously overpowered vehicle waiting to ruin your match. And it’s not even about losing. I can accept getting outplayed by someone who’s genuinely better than me. What I can’t stand is feeling like certain tanks have such ridiculous advantages that skill barely matters anymore.
I’m not saying these vehicles are literally identical or have no weaknesses, but they all contribute to the same frustrating experience.
I’m genuinely reaching the point where I’m considering uninstalling the game. I want to enjoy World of Tanks, but lately it feels like I’m fighting the game’s balancing decisions more than the actual enemy team.
Because it’s just not fun anymore. Seriously. I’ve had the game since 2017 and have earned dozens of trophies (including some rare ones) but now it’s just nothing but frustrating.
Every now and then I manage to destroy an Obj. 490b but then another Obj. 490b or Obj. 477a immediately shows up. It’s the same story with the Wiesel MK1 or XM800T: as soon as I destroy one, another one appears right away. I once encountered four of them on the opposing team and wondered how that’s even possible.
Does anyone else feel this way, or am I just getting fed up with the current state of the game?
