Opinions/Suggestions Does anyone play without cheats?
Cheats such as “hint” or anything to aid you that you have to buy or watch ads for?

I use the word radar (the green power up) when I play my aunt cuz she's hard to beat and hoards all the TW tiles

I think you gotta up your strategy in your game!
It's not always about getting the most points but it's also about blocking your opponent from getting the TW.

I don’t use any of em. If I have all vowels or consonants, I end up playing a 2 or 3 letter word. Maybe that’s why I lose so many games…

I don’t know how people cheat and I don’t want to know. I do use coins (only the ones I earn; I don’t buy them) for letter swap and word radar. That isn’t cheating; it’s part of the game.

No, they are legitimate functions of the game. You choose not to use them, which is your right. You do not get to call me a cheat for using those legitimate functions, but if you do, then I get to call you a liar.

It would certainly be less insulting, since cheating means to do something dishonestly or against the rules. And those functions aren't the same as game cheat codes--they're not hidden things that only some players know about. THey're right there at the top of the screen, available to everyone.

Purist should play the app WordFeud. Or even better, the NYT Crossplay game.

The 'cheats' that are part of the game or cheats outside of the game? I use what the game provides and assume others do too.

I just did “swap and pass” in the game a minute ago. Is it really considered a “cheat” if it’s part of the game?

There are cheats? Iron coins to buy swaps and things but I don't consider that cheating.

I only use the meter feature that provides info on if you're playing the highest scoring word possible. Sometimes, in a solo challenge game or against a bot, I will use the other available "power ups". Never against a real opponent.

I never felt the meter feature was what anyone would consider a cheat. For me it’s a waste of time adding up the points myself to see where the best place is to place my tiles. 🤷🏻♀️

Same, but I'm tired of being gamed in solo with all consonants if my score gets high or I win a few in a row or I play early in the day of flash.

I've played since 2011, and I don't even know what the "cheats" are! lol. If you're talking about the icons at the top of the screen, I've always ignored them.🤷🏻♀️ My user name is:

I don’t buy anything and never used anything the game awarded us that people love to call cheats. If it's part of this game, they should be able to use it. I just wasn't comfortable doing it.
That said, after losing so often to what seems like others using theirs (and they should be able to use what they've earned), I use mine now, too. When the game awards me those leg-ups, I no longer feel bad using them.
One friend IRL, however, I have never used those, and never will.
Another IRL friend who consistently kicked my butt long before Zynga ever awarded players these “cheats” knows I use mine when playing her because I told her so. She just laughed. She also knows I feel like a winner if she beats me by less than 100 points in our matches. 😂
For a true Scrabble experience, I also play the WordFeud app and even better the NYT Crossplay game. The only thing I don’t like, and have gotten used to from WWF, is selecting your tile color. I like looking at the board and seeing what words we've each played.

Honestly the only one i use is the swap tiles one. Especially when its all vowels
