Promotion [PROMOTION] PeepSo 9.1.0.0 released: optional AI Moderator beta, expanded Achievements, and redesigned conversations

Post image
2 Upvotes

Disclosure: I’m part of the PeepSo team.

We’ve released the latest version of PeepSo, an update to our social-networking and community plugin for WordPress. This release covers moderation, member recognition, activity-stream design, Groups and Pages, and several WordPress integrations.

Some of the main changes:

• AI Moderator in Early Access: An optional beta that can review supported new and edited content through background processing. It requires the Early Access plugin, Reporting, and an OpenAI API key. It does not scan existing content history by default, private messages, uploaded files, or profile, Group, and Page details. OpenAI usage is billed through the site owner’s OpenAI account.

• Expanded Achievements: Leaderboards, birthday and membership-anniversary achievements, a scrolling achievement, and the ability for members to share earned achievements in the activity stream. Achievements requires an active Ultimate Bundle license.

• Redesigned conversations: Clearer comment structure, improved reply indentation, more consistent reaction summaries, better comment counts, and a mobile-friendly Copy Link option.

• Community and design controls: Reusable Block Theme design presets, configurable default images for Groups and Pages, a My Groups block and widget, and more consistent Page identities.

Before updating:

Update PeepSo Core, installed PeepSo add-ons, and the PeepSo theme together. We recommend using your normal backup and staging process.

Sites using custom comment templates or CSS should check them against the new comment structure. Customized Block Theme logos and WooCommerce profile routes should also be verified on staging.

Full release details:

https://peepso.com/latest-release/

We’d especially appreciate feedback from developers and site owners running customized PeepSo communities: which change is most useful to you, and is there anything in the upgrade guidance that needs a clearer explanation?

Discussion [DISCUSSION] What makes you pay for a premium WordPress plugin?

Most WordPress plugins I use have a free version that meets my needs. I've only paid for a handful.

For the plugins you’ve paid for, what made you decide to upgrade?

  • A specific feature you couldn’t find elsewhere
  • Reliable support when something breaks
  • The ability to use it on multiple sites
  • The free version was too limited
  • Regular updates and peace of mind
  • Something else?

And what makes you hesitate before paying?

For me, renewal prices that jump significantly after the first year are a big turn-off, even if the plugin itself is great.

Hey everyone! I’m the developer behind Seonix, an SEO platform with a WordPress plugin, and wanted to share what I’ve been building.

The plugin includes two free features that work right after activation, without an account:

  • Automatically generates /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt from your published content.
  • Submits changed URLs through IndexNow when you publish or update content.

With a free Seonix account, you can also view your site’s SEO audit inside WordPress, with a health dashboard and page-level issues in the editor.

Optional paid features include AI article generation, scheduled publishing to WordPress, and applying suggested SEO fixes. These work through the connected Seonix platform.

I’d appreciate feedback on the plugin, especially whether the setup is straightforward and the audit results help you understand what to fix next.

Happy to answer questions about how it works!

Help [Help] needed: Lost my WhatsApp booking flow in Traveler Theme / WooCommerce

Hey everyone,

I'm running a tour and safari booking website using WordPress and the Traveler theme.

The Problem:

Previously, when a customer selected a tour, chose their dates, and number of guests, then clicked "Check Availability" or "Checkout", a large WhatsApp button would appear on the screen. Clicking it would redirect them directly to our company's WhatsApp with a pre-filled message containing all their selected booking details.

What happens now:

The WhatsApp step is completely gone. Now, when they click checkout, it redirects them to the standard WooCommerce checkout page (asking for billing info, email, payment methods, etc.), which I don't want. I just want the WhatsApp flow back.

What I've checked:

I checked my plugins, and there is no specific "WooCommerce to WhatsApp" plugin installed. I only have "Chaty", which just adds a floating widget, not the booking flow.

I dug into the Traveler Theme Options > Booking Options and WooCommerce Options, but I couldn't find any specific setting to route the checkout to WhatsApp.

I checked the individual tour settings, but changing them to "Instant Booking" or "Enquire Booking" doesn't bring back that specific WhatsApp pop-up with the variables.

Did I accidentally disable a built-in feature in the Traveler theme? Or was this likely a custom code snippet in functions.php that got deleted? How can I restore the flow that sends the checkout variables to WhatsApp?

Any help would be hugely appreciated!

[PROMOTION] Major Update to Sidcraft Page Builder AI/MCP!

Post image
1 Upvotes

Exciting news for Sidcraft Page Builder https://canvasly.pro users! 🚀

We’ve just upgraded our AI/MCP capability. Now, the AI Chatbot can read any live URL and recreate the layout using native Sidcraft blocks. Whether you're migrating from another page builder or adapting a design you love, it’s easier than ever.

No complicated prompts or scripts needed—just type:

👉 "Read entire website https://example.com and recreate all pages with Sidcraft Page Builder blocks."

Plus, after your pages are created, you can seamlessly convert and save them as static HTML pages from Sidcraft Page Builder > Tools.

How it works:

  1. Click Website, enter the address (example.com is fine; it falls back to http:// if HTTPS fails), and tick “I own this website or have permission to copy its design and content”. The import won’t start without that tick.
  2. Choose whether to leave out the site’s header and footer, so your theme’s own show instead. You can also choose how pages are rebuilt:
    • converted directly: the same layout, colours, fonts and images, with no AI cost;
    • rebuilt by the AI: cleaner structure, and only available when an AI provider is connected.
  3. Pro lists the site’s pages, up to 40: menu links first, then the sitemap. Pages blocked by the site’s robots.txt, plus files, admin, cart and checkout links, are skipped.
  4. Pick the pages, then either Create draft pages (up to 20 at a time, each a new builder page with an “open in the builder” link), or Build here to load one page as a preview plan on the page you’re editing.

Promotion [PROMOTION]WebLinguist - Localize your site into over 120+ Languages in minutes!

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hey Everyone,

WebLinguist is a super simple, easy to setup website translation and localization service. Just install our Wordpress plugin (or drop in a one line script) and you're instantly multilingual. We utilize one small cdn delivered script, and translation files are all stored in the cloud (client side translation), so your site stays fast. WebLinguist automatically handles things like hreflang and x-default tags, SEO metadata, and self-referencing canonicals, and multilingual pages are made available at their own URLs via query params, so they’re indexable by search engines.

After you install it, any new content you add or existing content you edit is automatically picked up and retranslated on the next page load. Use the customization options to adjust the language switcher to your brand design, or you can hide the widget entirely and just use the query params...If you have an ecommerce store you can toggle on our price localization feature which will show users an estimate of the price in their localized currency (rates updated daily).

Right now, each of our plans is only $1 for the first month...try it out for one month with no contract, cancel anytime :)

[REVIEW] Our Gutenberg blocks plugin ShapeBlock was approved on WordPress.org — looking for feedback

Hey everyone!

Our new Gutenberg blocks plugin, ShapeBlock, has been approved and published on WordPress.org.

We’re building ShapeBlock as a practical collection of Gutenberg blocks for creating modern WordPress websites without relying heavily on page builders.

The goal is to keep it lightweight, useful, and flexible for things like:

  • Landing pages
  • Business websites
  • Marketing sections
  • Blog layouts
  • Content-heavy websites
  • General Gutenberg-based site building

The free version is fully usable on its own, and we plan to keep expanding it with more blocks, layouts, and design variations over time.

You can check it out here:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/shapeblock/

We’re still at the very early stage, so feedback from WordPress users and developers would be really valuable.

I’d especially love to know:

  • How does the block editing experience feel?
  • Are the current blocks actually useful for real projects?
  • Is anything confusing or difficult to use?
  • What Gutenberg blocks would you like us to build next?
  • What features are missing that would make you consider using ShapeBlock on client projects?
  • How important are ready-made styles/patterns compared to adding more individual blocks?

Constructive criticism is very welcome. We’d rather hear what needs improvement now while the plugin is still young.

Thanks for checking out ShapeBlock!

[FREE] I got tired of hand-writing Contact Form 7 tags, so we built a free visual builder that keeps forms as normal CF7 forms. Would love feedback.

Disclosure: I’m one of the developers of this plugin. It’s free on WordPress.org, and I’m posting mainly to get feedback from people who actually use CF7.

CF7 is reliable and works with almost everything, but once a form has more than a few fields you end up writing things like this by hand:

<div class="cf-row">
  <div class="cf-col"><label>Name [text* your-name]</label></div>
  <div class="cf-col"><label>Email [email* your-email]</label></div>
</div>
[submit "Send"]

Then you write CSS so the columns actually work, and then you hand-code the email body on the Mail tab and update it every time you add a field.

CompactForm is a drag & drop builder that sits on top of CF7. A few things we cared about:

  • Forms stay real CF7 forms. Same shortcode, same submission flow, and your existing CF7 add-ons keep working.
  • Opt-in per form. Your existing forms aren’t touched unless you open them in the builder. You can also import existing CF7 markup.
  • Conditional logic and validation are re-checked on the server, so disabling JavaScript doesn’t bypass them.
  • Mail tab autofill. Generates a responsive HTML email with every field, sets Reply-To to the visitor’s email, and has a live preview.
  • Per-field styling (fonts, colors, spacing, responsive width) without custom CSS.
  • Built-in fields like star rating, signature, date/time pickers, range slider, and country dropdown, plus honeypot, minimum fill time and reCAPTCHA v3 for spam.
  • Assets only load on pages with a form, and you can switch off field types you don’t use.
  • Export/import forms as JSON between sites, handy if you build client sites.

What I’d really like to know:

  1. What’s your biggest annoyance with building forms in CF7?
  2. If you moved away from CF7, what pushed you to switch?
  3. Is anything here a dealbreaker or missing for you?

Happy to answer questions, and criticism is genuinely welcome. I’ll put the link in the comments if the mods allow it.

[FREEMIUM] 🛒 5 ways to bulk update WooCommerce products—with filters and tested results

Changing prices or stock across a catalogue is easy to get wrong if your selection is too broad. 🔍

I work on Import Export by RockStarLab, and we tested five workflows using its Content Updater PRO:

💰 Increase regular prices by 10% for a specific SKU prefix.
📦 Add 10 stock units only to products with five units or fewer.
🏷️ Set a sale price of 15 for selected products priced above 30.
⚖️ Add 0.10 kg of packaging weight to products weighing less than 0.50 kg.
📝 Append care instructions to specific SKUs without adding the same sentence twice.

🧪 Each example includes the exact filters, a reusable PHP Function, and expected versus saved values. We tested simple products; variation-level updates need separate testing.

A few things to watch:

⚠️ Increasing Regular Price doesn’t automatically change Sale Price.
🔁 Rerunning a stock addition or percentage increase applies it again.
⏳ Wait for the filtered product count to refresh before starting.
💾 Make a backup before changing existing products.

📖 Full walkthrough with screenshots and copyable snippets:

What product updates are you still doing manually? 👇

Free [FREE] I built a fully free plugin to export WordPress into static HTML + 1-click edge deploy. Would love some people to test it and roast it.

Hey everyone,

I’ve always loved WordPress for content editing, but hated managing live MySQL databases, sluggish TTFB on shared hosting, and constant security paranoia on client sites.

Existing static site generators for WP either require complex setups (AWS S3, CLI scripts, CloudFront) or are bloated.

So I spent the last few weeks building a clean, lightweight plugin: Semple Sites Deploy. It’s now officially approved and live on the WordPress.org directory.

What it does:

  • Crawls your posts, pages, and assets in one click.
  • Strips dynamic bloat and compiles everything into clean static HTML/CSS/JS.
  • Lets you either download the ZIP manually or deploy directly to an edge network to get an instant live URL.

Is it safe to test? (Read-Only & 100% Non-Destructive):
To be 100% clear so there’s no misunderstanding:

  • It does NOT convert or overwrite your live WordPress site. Your WordPress site and WP Admin remain completely active and normal.
  • It does NOT touch or modify your database. Zero DB tables are created, altered, or wiped.
  • It does NOT edit your theme, .htaccess**, or wp-config files.**
  • It simply reads your published pages and packages a separate static copy into a ZIP file.
  • Deactivating or deleting the plugin leaves zero leftover footprint.

What I need your help with:
I’ve tested it across default setups, but WordPress has endless combinations of themes, page builders (Elementor, Divi, Gutenberg), and custom URL structures.

If you have a test site, staging environment, or local dev setup:

  1. Could you install it and run a test build?
  2. Did any assets (images, fonts, stylesheets) fail to crawl?
  3. How clean does the resulting static archive look?

Plugin link on WP.org:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/semple-deploy
(or search Semple Sites Deploy inside WP Admin → Plugins → Add New)

Don't hold back. be as critical as you want. Any bugs, edge cases, or UX feedback you spot would help me a ton.

Thanks!

Promotion [PROMOTION][REVIEW] WP All Import + WooCommerce: three supplier feeds, one price/stock update file — paid pilot proposal

Builder disclosure: we're prototyping a small companion to an existing WooCommerce importer, not replacing it. The idea is to select the lowest current net item price among comparable in-stock supplier offers, keep your store SKU and explain the decision. No AI guesses about product matches.

The interactive demo uses fictional data: try rising prices, an unavailable supplier or a stale feed. It does not connect to a store. Multi-supplier tools already exist; we're testing a narrower workflow and a fixed monthly price.

Proposed pilot: USD 29/month, excluding applicable taxes, up to 3 sources and 5,000 matched SKUs, one XML output; hourly automation is proposed, not live yet. Source mapping and a correct preview come before any payment. No supplier-feed licences are included.

If you already run WP All Import with two or three overlapping supplier feeds and would actually buy this scope at that price, please say so. We want paid-pilot candidates, not just feature suggestions. Interactive demo and pilot request: https://techtime.pl/onefeed/

Help [HELP] Looking for a WP Plugin Web Dev Community

Hey,

I’ve been building WP plugins since 2018. Over the last year or so, I’ve been pushing harder on the product side again—launched two new plugins alongside my original one. But man, getting those first 1,000 installs feels like a battle now.

Honestly, my first plugin was kind of a lucky shot. The timing was spot on and I had solid marketing partners helping out, but that’s definitely not the norm. Marketing "regular" utility plugins takes way more grind than I expected.

I was thinking it could be cool to connect with a few other dev/founders to create a small, tight-knit accountability group. A place to share marketing tests, give honest feedback, help each other out with testing, and pitch new ideas.

Ideally looking for people who’ve been in the dev trench for a bit (maybe 5+ years of dev experience) so everyone’s roughly at the same level and can bring real value to the table.

Right now this is just a random thought, but if anyone’s in a similar boat and interested in setting something up, let me know!

Review [REVIEW] #1 of October - Featured Plugins tested

Post image
5 Upvotes

Once again, I had a look at the first batch of featured WordPress Plugins in October.
The detailed look for each can be found here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsgxCR4bKQs

Quizably – Quiz Maker, Personality Quiz & Survey Builder (3.6/5)

A flexible quiz and poll builder with lots of question types and a handy question bank you can reuse across quizzes. I liked that you can embed it via shortcode, iframe or a slide-in popup. But the UX is rough: the menu shows up twice, the results are hard to find under settings, lead capture never worked for me, and some smaller bugs. Right now it still feels quite unfinished.

Eventward – Event Calendar for WordPress (4.6/5)

A lean event management plugin with ticketing, RSVP, recurring events and Stripe payments that worked fine. It mostly sticks to the native WordPress UX, supports multiple ticket types and even custom RRULE recurrence with dates you can skip. Venue and organizer pages can’t really be customized and there are only two blocks so far, but overall it works well and it might have some potential.

NiroRoadmap – Public Product Roadmap & Kanban Board (4.5/5)

A really nice looking roadmap with (Kanban)-board, list and timeline views, voting, dark mode and a suggest-an-idea button that allows users to submit ideas for approval. There’s basic spam protection on votes and comments, and lots of settings to switch features on and off. It loads its scripts and styles on every page though, and the block can’t filter by product, which is a pity because the rest feels quite good.

FotoGrids – Photo & Video Galleries, Lightboxes, Sliders & More (4.5/5)

It gives you a huge amount of customization, with tons of templates and live previews, albums and statistics. You can tag and mark people on individual images and it has a great permissions manager. It’s very flexible and the onboarding is grate to get you started fast. The downside is that it is quite heavy in size. Autosave is a bit inconsistent, and it can be overwhelming if you are less tech-savy.

AlitaYoko Conversations – Conversation, Dialogue Stories & Narrated Chats (4.4/5)

A fun and original idea for building narrated chats with avatars, typing indicators and attachments. It feels lightweight and WordPress native. It’s easy to set up and comes with example conversations to get you started. The style settings are separated from the conversations, there’s no contrast check for colors and you can’t change the font, but it’s a nice niche plugin.

Scrumptious – Recipe Cards (4.9/5)

A well-designed recipe plugin that encourages you to get to the point instead of writing a long story before the recipe. Paste and parse is the main feature, and with an AI connector it cleans up and structures recipes even better. You also get servings scaling, metric and US units, cook mode and imports from other recipe plugins. There are a few things, like the gallery not showing by default, Youtube video can be added, but does not display anywhere. Jump to recipe is not jumping, because it was nowhere to be found in the frontend.

Lloyd Gallery – Photo Gallery & Albums (3.4/5)

A very simple gallery plugin with albums, ZIP upload and a basic lightbox. It’s easy to use, but it asks for an event date on every album for some reason, autoplay in the lightbox can’t be stopped properly, and there are no styling options. I think the default gallery block does the same job, which makes this a uninteresting choice for most users.

Gratora – Donation and Fundraising Platform (4.1/5)

A complete donation package with campaigns, multiple forms per campaign, funds and subscriptions. Payments are possible with Stripe, PayPal and can be collected via bank / offline payments in the free version. It has a great dashboard, a setup check in the settings, and an helpful onboarding (that doesn’t start on its own, nice!). But editing a single campaign means jumping between several screens, and there are a few confusing design decisions. It’s feature rich, but it takes a bit of getting used to.

What do you think about this selection? Will you install any of those?

Free [FREE] A month ago, I started developing an open-source project for the WordPress community

And this project cost me a few sleepless nights; I wanted it to work and to prove to myself that I could do it after hearing "no, no, that's not worth it." I had pitched this idea to at least 5 people before starting development. And for me, developing this project has been of great value.

Each new PR brings me so much happiness. Converting a 3,000-page Bible, phew! It was a huge learning experience. And that normal doubt creeps in about the code and about the WP market—is it right? Will this be useful to anyone? I still don't know. As a UX

I've been working with WP for many years; I know a plugin like this 6 years ago would have been WOW, very welcome. I also built this for my version that

but I'm very happy with the result and to be able to contribute to open source. The plugin is free and won't hurt your site's performance. Anyone who can test it and share feedback is more than welcome!

[FREE] Content Polisher – finds and fixes double spaces, missing spaces, wrong dashes and empty paragraphs across your whole site, with undo

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes
Hi all! I've just released my first plugin on WordPress.org: **Content Polisher**.

It came from cleaning up client sites by hand. Content pasted from Word, Google Docs or old page builders leaves the same small mistakes everywhere, and nobody notices them until a client does.

**What it checks**

- Double spaces: "Hello world"
- Spaces before punctuation: "Hello , world"
- Missing spaces after punctuation: "Hello, world"
- `--` instead of a proper dash
- Empty paragraphs and duplicate `<br>` left by copy-paste

**How it works**

- Scan the whole site, then review issues with a Before / After preview.
- Clear-cut mistakes are safe fixes: one by one, or all of a post at once. Anything that could be intentional is only a suggestion.
- Every change is backed up and can be undone. Undo never overwrites edits made after the fix.
- Code blocks, URLs, shortcodes, attributes and block markup are never touched.
- A panel in the block editor checks the post while you write.
- WP-CLI commands, with exit codes for CI checks.
- Works with English, Ukrainian, Russian and French content, including Polylang and WPML sites.

Everything runs on your server: no account, no API key.

**Free:** https://wordpress.org/plugins/content-polisher/

There's also an optional Pro add-on ($39.99/year, 14-day trial) for ACF fields, Elementor pages, fixing the whole site in one click, AI proofreading with your own API key and CSV reports. The free plugin is complete on its own, with no locked features.

It's a first public release, so feedback is very welcome: what it gets wrong on your content, or what check you'd like next.

[FREEMIUM] SecureHold WP 3.5: multiple independent Stripe security deposit holds per WooCommerce order

I recently shipped a fairly big architectural update to SecureHold WP and I’d be interested in feedback from other plugin developers.

Until now, the usual model was one security-deposit authorization per WooCommerce order. With the new Multi-Hold architecture, a single order can instead contain several independent Hold Groups, so eligible order items can each have their own Stripe authorization.

For example:

Item A -> €300 security deposit hold

Item B -> €800 security deposit hold

Item C -> no hold

Each hold has its own lifecycle, so it can be created, retried, captured or released independently instead of forcing the entire order into one combined deposit.

The interesting part ended up being much less about simply creating several PaymentIntents and much more about keeping scheduling, retries, admin actions, logs and configuration isolated per hold.

The Multi-Hold engine is part of the free plugin, while WooCommerce Native grouping is enabled with SecureHold PRO.

Free plugin:

https://wordpress.org/plugins/securehold-security-deposit-holds/

GitHub:

https://github.com/SecureHold/securehold-security-deposit-holds

I’d especially appreciate feedback on the data model and the failure cases you would test when several independent financial objects live inside the same WooCommerce order.

Free [FREE] I built a WordPress plugin to find outdated content that needs attention

Hey everyone, I built a WordPress plugin called Evergreen Radar to help with a problem I kept thinking about: old content slowly getting outdated.

If you run a blog or a content-heavy website, you probably have posts with outdated years in the title, articles that haven't been updated in years, missing image alt text, or broken links. Going through everything manually is a pain.

Evergreen Radar scans your posts and pages and puts the ones that need attention into a prioritized list, so you know what to fix first.

It also lets you snooze or ignore items, mark content as refreshed, and optionally prioritize pages using Google Search Console data.

The goal is pretty simple: help you keep your existing content useful without having to audit your whole site manually.

I'm getting it ready for its first release. If Evergreen Radar sounds useful, I'd love to hear what you'd want from a plugin like this.

[FREEMIUM] Cloud Offload plugin

The Sidcraft Page Builder https://wordpress.org/plugins/sidcraft-page-builder and VidCellar https://wordpress.org/plugins/vidcellar-lite/ plugins have built-in cloud offload features.

I separated the cloud offload features and put together a Free plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/sidcraft-cloud-media-offload/

Offloading

  • Cloud drives: Dropbox, OneDrive, OneDrive for Business / SharePoint document libraries, Google Drive, Box and iCloud (Apple CloudKit).
  • Object storage & CDN: Amazon S3 (and S3-compatible services), DigitalOcean Spaces (optional Spaces CDN), Bunny.net Storage + CDN (with token authentication) and Cloudinary.
  • Video platforms: send video uploads to Cloudflare Stream, Mux, Vimeo or YouTube while all other files go to your main storage. Videos are shown with the platform’s player in the video block and the [video] shortcode.
  • Automatic: new uploads (originals, scaled images and every thumbnail size) move to the cloud right after upload.
  • Large files are moved in the background with WP-Cron, using each provider’s chunked/resumable upload API.
  • Optional: keep a local backup copy, or delete files from wp-content/uploads to save space.
  • Choose which file types to offload (all, images, media, or a custom extension list) and which to always keep local.
  • Image editor and thumbnail regeneration keep working: edited files are pushed to the cloud automatically.
  • Deleting a file from the Media Library also deletes (trashes) the cloud copy – optional.
  • Media Library “Storage” column, row actions and bulk actions: move to cloud, move back, download local copy, remove local copy.
  • Existing uploads: offload your whole existing library (originals plus every thumbnail size) with one click and a progress bar – from the Cloud Media dashboard, the Offloading settings or the Tools screen – or let it run in the background with WP-Cron.
  • Tools screen to create public links, download local copies or move everything back to the server.
  • WP-CLI: wp sidcm offload --all, wp sidcm restore --all, wp sidcm status.

[FREEMIUM] I built a WordPress plugin for converting prices. Now I'm wondering if I built something nobody needs

I run a travel site with my girlfriend, and we kept running into the same stupid little problem. We publish prices all the time: JPY 20,000 for something in Japan, EUR 30 somewhere in Europe, USD 449.99 for a product, things like that. The original price is obviously important, but if you're reading a Japan guide from Belgium, the US, or the UK, then JPY 20,000 probably doesn't mean much without doing a quick conversion.

So we started adding conversions ourselves, although we quickly realized that was kind of ridiculous. You either pick a few currencies and ignore everyone else, clutter the article with a bunch of numbers, or keep going back to old posts because exchange rates changed.

I (or rather, my girlfriend) got annoyed enough that I built a plugin for it. It's called AutoCurr. You enter the original price once, it stays visible, and AutoCurr adds the visitor's local currency next to it automatically. It works without separate exchange rate services or API keys.

The free version is on WordPress.org now:

There is a Pro version too, mainly because I wanted a nicer editor workflow and some tools for sites that publish a lot of prices. But now that I've spent all this time building the thing, I'm starting to wonder if this is actually a problem other WordPress users have, or if I just built a very elaborate solution to something that annoys us specifically?

If your site includes prices in different currencies, would you actually use this? And if anyone is bored enough to install the free version, I'd especially love to know what happens in the first five minutes, and if the plugin is straightforward enough to get the ball rolling!

Feel free to roast it. I'd rather hear now that something makes no sense than spend another six months convincing myself it does.

Hey everyone,

I made a free plugin. It allows you to use cap with WooCommerce.

It's the first plugin I have made, and I am proud of it. I didn't make it for money; I just made it for fun. It's still a work in progress; I haven't even tried it with a fresh install.

If anyone wants to try it, please go ahead! Please share any feedback

Help Plugin for site access restricted to members? [HELP]

I am building a road press site for a client that wants access to all pages of the site restricted to anyone not logged in as a member of the site. I downloaded Simple Membership, and then my client paid for us to add the SWPM Full Page Protection. It's working exactly how I wanted as far as restricting the site, but what I found is that anyone with an existing Wordpress account cannot register. If I try to just log in to the site using my existing Wordpress account information, it says "No user found with that username or email." If I try to register as a new member but use my email, it says that email is already in use. I was able to sign in by using a different email than the one my existing Wordpress account uses, but not every person has multiple emails to try.

Is there either something I can do within Simple Membership to prevent this issue, or perhaps a membership plugin that doesn't rely on Wordpress accounts?

I'm primarily a graphic designer with a beginner knowledge of coding, and I've never created a site that needed restricted member access before. I'm willing to put in the work, but my research so far hasn't gotten me what I need. I'd appreciate any direction I can get!
