Wordpress 101

I have to use WordPress for school and my internship. WordPress looks like a maze to me. I need a video, tutorial, or other resource that explains the basics of WordPress for posting blogs. I need to be told like a toddler. I have the free version.

Since you're on the free WordPress.com plan, start in Dashboard → Posts → Add new. Type a title, add your text below, then use the + button if you need an image. Preview before you publish. Posts are your dated blog entries; Pages are for fixed things like About. Ignore plugin and hosting tutorials for now.

honestly the trick for me was ignoring 90% of the dashboard. Post > Add New is basically all you need for blogging the rest can wait
