This is my working altar, where I keep 99% of the things I use quite often.

I updated it to edit the types of jars. Initially had just the bottles but somethings were tough to get in and worse to get out (especially mugwort.) So I added some spice jars into the mix for bigger things like star anise and cinnamon sticks.

Context: I'm a baby witch, have ZERO experience with spell casting and witchiness. I follow my own practice, and do what feels right to me (with the right research!). I'm Vietnamese, raised by a Catholic dad and a Buddhist stepmom, so I got a lot of... Asian "flare" to my practice HAHA

Anyways, over the past four months, my boyfriend moved here and was struggling to find a job. So, I made these for him! I made an abundance jar, and an abundance sachet I embroidered from a kit I forgot I bought YEARS ago.

Four days later? JOB OFFER!! AAAAAA

I'm genuinely shocked. I manifested so hard, I hated seeing him get rejection letter after rejection letter. So either the world heard my pleas, or decided to tell me to infuse my MANY ADHD crafts into my practice. Anyways, lemme know what you guys think!

Hello! I'm a 17 year old girl and this is my first time using reddit so please excuse me if I'm doing anything wrong. I hope this community full of women understand my situation as I feel like this is a safe space to seek help! I have a step father who causes emotional harm to me and my family from time to time. He has been in our lives for 10+ years and thru out those years he's had huge hugeee arguments with my mom and caused her stress along with him having yelling matches with my older siblings. Currently it's just me and my three younger siblings and my mom living under the same roof and he holds things against us. The basic necessities- food,housing,food for the animals (that he bought but doesn't take responsibility for therefore leaving it up to us) and much more. All this isn't even half of the harm he's done to us. He's also dealt with alcoholism but he almost died one time due to that and that kind of calmed him down, however he's still the same narcissist just without the alcohol.

A few hours ago he got really mad that the dog (that he himself brought) peed in his room after we let it out of its cage ONE time. Keep in mind we only let it out to go to the bathroom since that's what my step father has wanted us to do. He then proceeded to pick up the dog by it's neck and slam it HARD into the floor-jaw first. The poor dogs whole body was shaking and he did it in front of my younger siblings. I'm sorry if I'm writing too much of if anyone will even hear the back story to all this. After my mom started to question him. The first thing he said while being confronted was "fine I guess I'll just leave the house then".... This isn't the first time he's done and said this. Skip to now where this grown man comes back from leaving the house for like twenty mins and runs straight to his room with a bag of McDonald's and slams the door to his room behind him. LMFAO just thinking back to this is funny because he's always wanted to be cool and thinks he's still a teenager when he's really a big man child. Keep in mind there's barely any food in the house and he's always whining about not having enough money. And as I'm typing this out, he is blasting music in his room knowing damn well we all have school/work tomorrow, he's never blasted music ever and he's obviously doing this on purpose.Sorry I'm getting off track

Basically I just want him to feel everything me and my siblings and my mom have felt however I don't want anything that harms him to harm us due to the fact that we are sort of depend on him. So I really don't know what spell to cast on him or me and my family in order to get out of this situation. I just mainly want him to feel bad or pain or something since during the argument he had with my mom he genuinely said "I won't apologize to anybody because I know what I did was not wrong" TO mothers face IN FRONT of my little siblings with an ALMOST smirk on his face. So I want him to feel remorse basically. Hopefully he'll have a nightmare or sleep paralysis to scare him off his feet. I just want to know what I should cast on him to better my situation

Hello! I'm prepping for my second traditional Samhain celebration - and due to one of my best friends passing this year (Taylor), who also helped bring me further into the practice, I'm doing most / all of the cooking (willingly and so moved to be trusted with such an honor, especially as the other main participant is another of my best friends who is also the sister of Taylor) and I'm recreating a green soup as the main course to hit the green color requirements- but I'm a little lost for some good recipe choices for the other nature colors. I know we'll do wine for red, and was considering mashed pumpkin (instead of mashed potatoes) for orange.

Because I'm doing the cooking on my own, I don't want stuff that takes too much specific time / focus, but could use suggestions for the other colors of nature.

First post here, and it may be something mundane but who knows.

Lately I’ve been trying to change a LOT of old habits and ways, with success in some areas and less in others. I’m new with actually intentionally practicing magic so don’t know much first hand and I haven’t done much of any spell work, most of it is lucid dreaming, divination and the like. The only spirits I work with are Santa Muerte and Asmodeus. Some may say those are harsh spirits for a new practitioner but I have my reasons for doing it mostly due to my dream work and in the case of Santa Muerte I picked it up from my best friend who works with her and it happened because Santa Muerte was trying to get my attention in drastic ways(a story for another day) so I sorta got dragged into it lol.

Anyway, I was closing up at work the other night and when I got home, my whole ring of keys was gone. I noticed I had a hole in my pocket and figured they must’ve fallen out that way. I haven’t lost any keys in about a year maybe over a year. I had 4 different keys that I use plus a magnet. Went to work the next day and someone on the train just randomly threw some sort of pendant on the floor consisting of a key and a dreamcatcher looking thing. I picked it up and kept it for that reason. Today I went to go make new key copies, and right as I was crossing the street and about to step onto my block a few steps away from my place, I heard keys falling on the ground. Looked everywhere around me and couldn’t find them anywhere. Figured out that I had ANOTHER hole in my hoodie I was wearing, which isn’t something I knew beforehand or had any issues with. Retraced my steps twice and couldn’t find them anywhere outside. Ended up having to make another set of keys and on my way home I just held them in my hand as I was paranoid about loosing them again.

Some interesting points is that I usually bring a little bag type thing where I keep my belongings and I left it at home cause I didn’t wanna carry it. There wasn’t much point for me to do this as it’s a very small light bag where I only keep my keys, wallet, cash/change etc nothing heavy I was just being messy and lazy. And funny enough I also picked up a can of wood putty because I need to fix some holes in my floor that have been getting worse for years and I’ve been ignoring them, but in my recent journey of overall improvement I’ve decided to try and take care of nagging little things like that.

I wondered if I was being told “hey just like you wanna fix the holes in your apartment, stop wearing old worn out clothes with holes in them and start being more intentional and bring your bag with you so you won’t lose anything”. It could also really be completely mundane co-incidence but I did also generally ask the spirits for help in forming better habits and being a more careful and intentional person in general. So my take away is that and I’m gonna put aside anything with holes in my pockets and have them sewn.

Anyway if anyone finds this interesting or thinks I’m missing anything OR reading too much into it, feel free to add your input

Hi! I (31F) have never been religious and have actively rejected the patriarchal types of modern religions. That being said, I’ve always had an interest in being spiritual or I guess more connected to the Earth, myself, and the universe. I have always been interested in or drawn towards more witchy things, especially as I age, or some woo woo things as I like to say. I enjoy crystals, astrology, meditation, talking to nature, spirits or ghosts, acupressure, Qigong, etc. I don’t really share all of this with the people around me though.

Recently, I gave myself a birthday present of a head spa from a witch owned salon. I had the most amazing experience and felt spiritual for the first time in my life. I’m not sure what I did or what happened but I had moments during that spa ritual where I was almost watching myself getting the service done, and I could feel others energies around me, like hands hovering, even when the salon owner had moved away from the table to grab supplies. I could feel the difference between her being close to me and these other energies or spirts that were close to me as well. Now I am trying to tell myself that because I have been interested in this for a while, I basically made those feelings up due to me just wanting something to happen. I also have OCD, so convincing myself that I’m wrong is common.

Anyway, being in my 30s, I just want to figure out who I am, explore, play with my style, and explore the woo woo and witchy without feeling embarrassed or ashamed, or without feeling like I have to explain it to those around me.

Any witches relate? Any advice or stories is welcome!

i did a prayer and lit a candle with herbs on friday, and saw very slight results almost immediately after. but very very small results. I needed a kick or a boost. so i repeated it last night, wednesday. but something didnt feel right this time, maybe because i was expecting another result right after, or i did it too quickly? i dont know. now im scared i ruined both rituals.

So I’ve been feeling very tired as if something is pushing down on my body lack of motivation, and my overall health is not very well at the moment. I also feel overwhelmed and stressed and failing a bunch of exams that I’m taking. I don’t know if there’s someone in my life draining my energy or looking at me with jealousy and envy. I have a couple of people that I know that are in the same major as me and so far I’ve been doing well in school but as of recently after sharing some projects, I’m working on or how my classes are going. Everything just started going south and I wanna know if the egg cleanse supports any of this or what it even reads

Hiii. Does anyone s shoulder ache or whole arm got heavy when you are low on energy or need cleansing. For like nearly 10 years my left shoulder or whole left arm would get heavy or ache when there is heavy energy, when i go to some places, even talking to some people. Till now i used juniper leaf for cleansing. Now i am in the country that i cant find juniper leaf. If there is someone like me what do you guys use. what helps?

Let me begin by stating, I very much adhere to the concept of "Mundane over Magical", so when I found a deceased armadillo in my yard, actually in my driveway, I did not think much of it. Nobody comes to my house, so it is unlikely he was hit, but I figured he may have been dropped by a bird or other animal since he showed signs of that possibility. Granted, I have lived on this property more than seven years, and have found many live animals that have wandered onto my property (goats, pigs, a cow, many types of birds, dogs, cats, raccoons, opossums, etc), but in all that time, I've never found an animal dead in my yard. Nevertheless, I prayed for the poor guy, but also felt compelled that I should use his remains and that his body was a gift from the universe. So, I also thanked the universe for providing the remains as I felt that armadillo bones and scales would be a sign of protection that could be used in various ways. I moved him to a location where he could continue to decompose naturally until such time as he was all broken down. I put the spiked tail on a plate on my altar and recovered the bones and small scales to process further (once I learn how to do so properly). This process took about a month.

Fast forward a few weeks to a month later, and I found another one. This one was right in the middle of my driveway, less than 15 feet from the entrance, where there was no way I could miss it. After many years of never finding an animal dead, two of them and both armadillos, seemed to have crossed from mundane over to possibly magical. I moved this guy off to the side, so I could enter my yard and said a quick prayer for him, feeling like there is a message behind it. That said, Im not sure what the message is.

On one hand, I feel as if it could indeed be a gift of materials to use for future workings. Since I thanked the universe for providing this the first time, maybe it was just this little guy's time to go too, and so as to not waste, the universe sent him to me too. On the other hand, I also feel as if there could be a message behind it such as "Pay attention dumb ass, Im telling you theres a problem or warning that you need to listen to" such as needing to focus on protection from something that may be a threat Im not aware of or that I just need to do more to protectively ward my property or something. Of course, it could also be something even darker, but I dont feel that it is. Overall, Im stuck wondering if its just a gift or a warning: Im just not sure.

One more interesting tidbit, after I parked, I walked back down the driveway to check my mail and peek at the remains, and I found large dog paw prints. I have not seen any dogs in my yard in several months, and this one seems to have only barely come in, just inside the gate, presumably to possibly deliver the armadillo, then turned and left (judging from the prints). I have been praying to Hecate asking her to work with me over the last few months and appealing to Her to teach me. Seeing that this second armadillo seems to have been delivered in such an unmistakable place via dog, it reinforced further that there may be a magical meaning behind it. I am a fairly new witch, only a handful of years - about 5+, under my hat, and generally have focused on working with the elements and Nature more than deities, so this is new to me.

All that said, although I definitely feel it is some sort of sign, Im struggling hard to know if it is a positive one or a negative one. I would love to hear anyone else's thoughts or feelings on this matter.

I do love collage art, illustration, and museums. Another point is that I love tarot art very much, so I merge them together bc why not? If I can’t go to Europe to see those pictures, I will use tarot to navigate my way through art around the world, see the emotions through them, and see which artworks intertwine with one another and lead me to create my own tarot deck. I call her (my deck) Sister Under the World Heirloom and Playhouse Tarot haha (I named her even though I haven’t even finished it haha).
