Help! Device Hung ERROR CODE

I’m not the first.

When playing the Witcher 3, Black Ops7 & cyberpunk 2077 each crash and I get the same error code. The 8***** code (I forgot the exact numbers but yes it’s that one!) that others are experiencing or have experienced.

What is the solution?

I am on an rtx 5090 + 9800X3D. I updated nvidia drivers. DDU’ed and tried others.

Worked fine on 610.88.
But the crashes persist.

This only started happening in the past week. Why is this happening?

I'm not sure if this is your problem, but my 5090 was crashing at first randomly (not all that often at times, but then repeatedly when trying certain games), mostly to a black screen or rebooting before I could see the error code. I found out it was the 12pin power cable to the 5090, which came with my Corsair PSU. I replaced the cable and the crashing stopped, and I was lucky as it could have been a lot worse - many people don't realize their cable is bad until it melts the cable into the card.
