Concept / Design thinking I finally got the taskbar as a dock the right way

took me a lot of work and trials but finally I made it (I think) - transform the mundane taskbar to something better- either with animated cool effects or as a dock, while keeping it system derived and based on the actual taskbar. What do you think about my work?

I like it. What did you use to get the taskbar like that?

I split the work into 2 parts: first was to get animated "simple" effects on the taskbar itself. second was to read the information from the taskbar and recreate it for magnification effect. they can also work together but still have work to make it perfect together (like, magnification with light sweep etc.). my main concern was to avoid modding.

my whole concept is to use a native design and not implement a modding app.

How have you implemented the taskbar natively with no mods?

Windhawk does this and so much more. Go get it from GitHub.

I know it and rainmeter and even used y's dock and rklauncher at the day they were "new". none of them is easy to use, no config and seamless, and rely on the taskbar itself, and they always crush at some point/don't gave correct messages count in whatsapp and t-bird/lag when system is busy working hard etc......

Lol down voting me for sharing a program that does something similar to what you're showing. You didn't even mention anything regarding what you did or used.

Also, I only mentioned one program, which I use and have had no issues using it on my computer. It was quite easy to setup. If you're not going to explain what you did and just show people your desktop don't get upset when someone else shares information.

I'm not downvoting anyone :) what I did was as I wrote: got basic hover effects on the taskbar as an upper layer - so I can clearly see the mouse-over. then moved on to animating it and so on ... no configuring or collecting PNGs etc. I used many docks and apps and always had the same problems: dock freezes when I render because of CPU and GPU load. mis-reading of the programs status the way it's displayed on the taskbar. getting wrong icons for apps. can't access the systray and so on,.,,
