I'm 25 and an EMT Basic, but would like to work as a wildland firefighter next summer. And was wondering what certifications besides the S-130( online portion)S-190, and L-180 would you recommend I get in order to help improve my chances of actually landing a job and to help me stand out a bit since i have no fire fighting experience. I do have a 1 year and 3 months of experience working for a private ambulance company that does private, 911 and NICU runs. The certifications I currently have besides the three listed in the title are the state of Rhode Island Emergency Medical Technician License, NREMT Certification, BLS Provider Certification, IS-700B NIMS : An introduction, IS-100.C Intro to Incident command System, IS-200.D Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response, IS-5.A Intro to Hazardous Materials, WMD/Terrorism Awareness for first responders, IS-800.D National Response Frame Work and Mental health First Aid.
