I generally agree with the take in the QRT, and also I’m not going to get mad at a politician trying to flip a senate seat in a state Trump won by double digits for saying this.

Correct. She's running in Alaska, so she has to scale things back. Especially things like guns and lgbtq issues. It's unfortunate, but she would be more effective in office than losing a campaign.

Right-wingers are everyone's enemy because they hate everyone who isn't just like them.

I'm not even a part of the LGBT community and I agree with this!
One of my close friends is trans. If you have a problem with her, I have a problem with you. It's as simple as that!

I have coworkers across the religious and political spectrum with which I happily work every day. Pretty sure that's the American dream, right? I'm an atheist and I'm close with my evangelical Christian parents and I know many, many people who voted for Donald Trump 3 times. But as a trans woman, the current administration has explicitly labeled me an enemy. The GOP has poured hundreds of millions of dollars into anti-trans political ads, it's their go to guilt by association. Trump identifies and condemns "transgender for all" when he's speaking even when it makes no sense in context. I'm a lifelong pacifist. But a lot of people have declared me their enemy. So what do I do with that?

Any self identifying republican is the enemy, and I have zero empathy for them if bad shit happens to them. Fuck'em.
They've had more than enough time to disassociate from the republican brand. If they are still on board, they support what's happening.

I am an enemy to every right winger for the rest of my life. I used to think they were tolerable but I wouldn’t spit on a conservative that was on fire after the past 10 years.

Yep.
A LOTTA pissed off trans people who just got kicked out of the military.
This ended up great in Iraq when we unemployed the army there and nothing bad ever happened in the region ever.
Also, history is full of leaders who sidelined huge numbers of troops for literally no reason and it always ends up great!

OOP conveniently forgets to mention the reason he can't marry the one they love is because they've been married to Teresa Heinz for the last 31 years :-)
