Hey guys, boyfriend at a loss here
My girlfriend was started on the Wegovy pills earlier this year and ever since moving from the 4mg to the 9mg it has kicked her butt almost everyday, she feels nauseous and vomits at least once a day for a few days and then some days it’s better.
I’ve tried to help her navigate through some smaller bland foods and keeping her water hydrated but I feel so bad. Do any of you have any advice I can get so that the 9mg and even the transition to 25mg won’t wreck her?

If you use Wegovy in France, and have to microdose like I do, be very careful with the content in the boxes. The packaging looks exactly the same but in one box a pen of 0.5 MG is 3 ml and in the other box the pen is 1.5 ml!! I never even imagined that the same dose would be sold in similar boxes but with a different ml content!

So far I’ve lost at least 30 pounds and I work out at least three times as week as well as eat well. I just hate that I pay $350 a month for it. Would it be okay if I got off of it? I’m so nervous to gain the weight back!!!!! Any experience with this? Also, if you know somewhere I can get it cheaper please let me know. Thank you so much

hi everyone, looking for any stories or advice for this dose increase. I have been on 0.25 for one month now. My first week on 0.25 was atrocious, felt like I had a 24 hour stomach bug. The next three weeks were very mild, tolerable symptoms, but also no noticeable appetite suppressant or reduction of food noise. My doctor is recommending me to move onto 0.5. I’m quite nervous to move up since my first week on 0.25 was so terrible. Looking for any similar stories or advice for symptom management during this increase!

Hi friends -
I haven’t gotten a dose of WeGovy in 2 months and after my insurance going in a giant circle of them telling me to go fuck myself, the finally approved the medication.
I’m nervous to go back to the full dose after not taking it for 2 whole months. But, I want to continue my weight loss journey!!! Has this happened to anyone? What were your symptoms like after taking it again at full dose? Any help or advice is appreciated 🙏

Obviously my doctor's run through a couple of things, but I'm curious from the people who are actually regularly taking it. Any tips, tricks, suggestions?
What's your go-to food I guess?
I know there's a lot of dietary specifics I'm supposed to follow once I start taking it

My doctor is ok with me taking Wegovy and now I’m just waiting on blood work/insurance approval. But I cannot lie that I’m incredibly anxious about taking it due to potentially bad gastrointestinal side effects.
I’ve read some horror stories about and honestly it’s the last thing I need to deal with right now. Can anyone tell me about their experiences please?

I’ve been on Wegovy for 5 months now, the plan was never to go higher and 0.5 was honestly so ideal, it didn’t only let me lose weight steadily in a normal pace but it helped with balancing my mood and even helped an unrelated medical issue that I dont wanna name.
The thing is around one month of being on 0.5 I kept getting such bad sulfur burps that lead to constipation and vomiting later on CONTINUOUSLY. It felt like nothing in my stomach was moving and every small thing I ate was just thrown up of would result in the worst abdominal cramps, I was probably sick for a month because it would leave and come back continuously. So we went down a dosage but 0.25 has zero effects on me.
I was wondering if the pill would maybe be more ideal, again I wasnt planning on going higher than 0.5 (I do know orally it might look higher) because its mainly for hormonal (PMOS) and craving regulation and since its daily I assume that maybe it wont be as bad because i can potentially flush it out faster.
I would love to hear people who switched, doesn’t matter if it was from needle to pill or vice versa, I’d love to know the reasoning!

Anyone here just pick a dose and stick to it? I was finding the fatigue debilitating and the appetite suppressant was making it so I didn't want to eat ever. I decided to stay on a lower dose for longer however I'm starting to get breakthrough hunger again (not just eating, but always feeling "peckish"). Should I bump it up? Still at 180. Started at 197.

My doctor increased my dose from 1mg to 2.4mg in one fell swoop. Now I am experiencing occasional classic side effects (I think the polite term is "GI issues"), but yesterday was pretty bad and interfered with my work.
I'm wondering how long these side effects might last before my body adapts to the new dose.

I’ve been told conflicting information about Wegovy and trying to conceive. My doctor is useless and barely gives any advice, just tells me to up and up the dose, barely weighs me and is generally useless so whilst I’m looking for a new doctor I wondered if anyone has used Wegovy when doing IVF?
Or whilst trying to conceive?
It’s seriously lowered inflammation markers and almost stopped my anxiety so I’m nervous to quit it.

Hi all - I’ve been off Wegovy for almost 2 months and feel really sad. I was so happy and felt my mental health was doing really well while I was on it, but feel like I’m back to how I was before. Trying to get vitamin D and continue exercising but curious if anyone has encountered this. Gained some weight back but not too much - maybe it’s feeling more inflamed? TIA 🫶

Had just moved up to 2.5mg/0.5ml - then hadn't had a dose in 3 weeks. Planned to restart it tonight at half a dose or 0.25ml but I forgot while drawing it up and gave my self the complete 0.5ml. How sick am I going to be? :(

I was scheduled to give myself my second shot of the 0.25 mg pen, held it to my skin until the yellow bar filled an I heard the appropriate clicks, but when I lifted the pen from my skin, A LOT of liquid poured out. I’m not sure that any made it in me.
Has anyone experienced this before? I left a written message at the Novo website. Should I give myself another shot?

A few questions after starting Wegovy, especially about appetite suppression and insurance coverage**
I'm a 45-year-old guy, currently around 260 lbs, and I've just finished the initial 0.25 mg dose of Wegovy. I figured I'd share a little about my experience so far and see how it compares to others who have been on this medication for a while.
So far, the most noticeable side effect has been heartburn. It definitely sucks, but it's manageable. Going into this, I knew how important it was to prioritize protein, stay hydrated, and keep up with fiber, so I've been making a conscious effort to stay on top of those things.
One positive change I've noticed is that my sugar cravings have pretty much disappeared. I've always had a bit of a sweet tooth, so that's been a welcome surprise! When I do want something sweet, I've been reaching for a Barebells protein bar or some fruit instead. It's nice not to feel like I'm constantly looking for something sugary.
Where I'm a little unsure is the appetite suppression. I haven't really felt like it's kicked in as much as I expected. I'm moving up to the 0.50 mg dose, so I'm curious whether that's something that gradually becomes more noticeable as the dosage increases. I understand everyone responds differently, and I'm trying to be patient with the process rather than expecting overnight results.
The other thing I've noticed is that as I get closer to my next injection, my appetite seems to come roaring back. I'm talking about roughly 10–12 hours before my next scheduled shot, not a day or two beforehand. It almost feels like I'm slipping back into my old eating habits, which is a little discouraging. Is this something others have experienced? Is it just a normal fluctuation in appetite, or does your body need more time to adjust to the medication?
My other big concern is insurance coverage.
I've been informed that my insurance will stop covering Wegovy for obesity starting in January 2027. Needless to say, that's frustrating, especially when you're trying to find something that works and build some consistency with it.
I've started looking into alternatives, including subscription services like Hims and GoodRx, but it's hard to sort through all the options and figure out what makes the most sense financially and medically.
For those of you who have lost insurance coverage for Wegovy, what did you end up doing? Have you switched to a subscription-based service, paid out of pocket, or found another legitimate option that has worked well for you? I'd especially appreciate hearing about actual experiences, including the total monthly cost and whether the service has been worth it.
I'm still early in the process, and I know I have a lot to learn. I'm just trying to set realistic expectations, figure out what to expect as I move up in dosage, and plan ahead so I don't have to abruptly stop treatment because of insurance changes.
Thanks in advance for any advice or experiences you're willing to share!
