Suppliers to avoid

Naturally, we all have our planning trackers and lists of dream suppliers to get. Was just wondering if anyone has compiled a list of SUPPLIERS TO AVOID/WATCH OUT FOR based on nega experiences and objective reviews?

I’m trying to build my own, but it has been slow going. 🤔

From one super praning and cost-conscious B2B to another, let’s help each other out, kahit through DMs para no risk of cyberlibel. 🫣

Are all wedding suppliers nagbabayad ba ng TAX nila sa BIR? And may business permit? Or kasama din sa paglalaba?

Sa mga nag elope diyan, what made you push through?

I'm currently debating with myself (fiance is very chill). We estimated our possible costs which is around 350-400k, but that's the least of our worries.

Reasons why I want to elope:

  1. The waiting puts me in agony. The longer I wait, the longer it stresses me. (won't I feel stressed preparing for the second wedding if we elope? Answer, no.)

  2. I've always said to myself na spending more than 100k for our wedding is against my principle. I'd rather do something else with the excess amount.

  3. Stressed sa guest list. I want it intimate, but our intimate list is already 60 pax. I tried to take it down to strictly immediate family only, pero it saddens us if our closest friends wont be there, but that would mean you have to consider other kinds of close friends and relatives too.

  4. I really want to elope kasi I love the idea na it's only between us two.

  5. If we go for eloping, I want to keep it a secret until our second wedding (not church, just a bigger one with all the people in our lives), but ayaw niya. He wants to announce it to the world after it becomes official. So it's really elope OR wait for the bigger wedding which will be in March 2028 pa.

Why the second wedding: I want all of our siblings, who lives abroad, to be at that moment. We are very close with our family and the thought of not being complete breaks my heart.

My fiance is very chill kasi siya magbabayad sa lahat, sunod sunod lang dw siya sa akin (kasi nga stressed na ako :<) but his decision: wait for the big wedding (my contradiction: reason #1)

HELP!

Pamamanhikan

• Upvotes

Curiois question.

Me (B2b) and my fiance (G2b) are living together for a year na and I no longer have parents, plus all my siblings are out of country.

May pamamanhikan pa bang mangyayari?

Di naman issue sakin pero never din nag initiate yung parents niya kilalanin yung fam ko, or even try to visit my parents' grave.

Reception Venue/Prenup Location PANGASINAN wedding venue Hiraya Wellness Resort and Ecopark

Hi, any graduate brides here na sa Hiraya Wellness Resort in Aguilar, Pangasinan ang venue? But I have 60-90 pax mostly from pangasinan and manila then the rest from Europe. Planning din kami na overnight ang kunin para di na hassle sa biyahe yung mga from manila and europe. Ok ba to as a venue?

Graduate Brides Supplier Lists and Reviews Would love honest feedback on a wedding supplier discovery site I built

Hi! I’ve been building Knotch, a Philippine wedding supplier discovery platform designed to help couples find suppliers based on style, budget, location, and overall fit, not just browse a long directory.

I recently changed the supplier discovery experience so visitors can swipe through suppliers and gradually discover what fits their preferences.

If you have a few minutes, I’d really appreciate honest feedback on the mobile experience:

https://knotch.studio/suppliers

A few things I’m especially curious about:

  1. When the page opens, is it immediately clear what you can do?

  2. Would you naturally swipe, tap a button, scroll, or leave?

  3. Is there enough information on the first card to make you interested?

  4. What would make you want to open a supplier’s full profile?

  5. Does the experience feel useful for actual wedding planning, or more like a novelty?

Please feel free to be brutally honest, especially if anything feels confusing, slow, incomplete, or untrustworthy. I’m trying to understand the experience from a first-time visitor’s perspective.

Thank you!

₱10K Trial Makeup – MUA Will Remove It After 2 Hours? Is This Normal? LOL

Hi everyone!

My fiancée recently paid a downpayment to an MUA for a ₱10K trial makeup session.
We were planning to take a few simple prenup photos afterward. Nothing extravagant, just a few shots for remembrance.

However, the MUA suggested that we avail of their ₱30K prenup package instead, since it includes retouching and other services.

My fiancée explained that we don’t need those additional services. No retouching, no extended hours, and no assistance during the shoot. Once the trial makeup is done, that’s it. We’re on our own, and we’re perfectly fine with that.
But here’s the part that genuinely confused me. LOL.
The MUA said that if we only avail of the ₱10K trial makeup, they will remove the make up right after the session is done 😭(EDITED sorry the duration of the make up pala is 2 hrs jusko, mahina na ung pandinig ko sorry haha)

Wait, what? HAHAHA.
I understand that trial makeup and prenup makeup are different services, and I respect that MUAs have their own policies.

But is physically removing the makeup after completion really necessary? We’re not asking for anything beyond the trial session itself. We just want to take a few photos afterward while my fiancée still has her makeup on.

Is this actually standard practice among MUAs? Or is there something we’re missing here? 😂

Would love to hear your thoughts, especially from professional MUAs!

Kailangan ko siya in a month.

Mga tanong ko po:

  1. Saang jeweler/setter kayo nagpagawa?

Salamat in advance! 🙏

Providing tela for Principal Sponsors

Hello,

Is it ok to provide tela for principal sponsors? Hindi ba OA? Baka isipin nila, pare parehas sila ng itsura with other principal sponsors though magkakaiba sila sa pagawa.

Divi wedding gown fittings

Hi~
We’re planning to go sa Divi to try on some wedding gowns this saturday and I just wanted to ask for your highly suggested stores we should definitely go to l. Plus other things you think I should need (where to go first, what to bring, what to expect)

I had a list before from all the comments I found here sa reddit before but I can’t find my list now and honestly, going through reddit posts and comments can be a lot. So hoping this would be easier. TIA!!
