Walletwait app — let your friends debate your next impulse buy
Hey everyone!
I'm a developer at FoolFishGames, and I wanted to share Walletwait app — a web app that turns “should I buy this?” into a social game.
Imagine wanting a $40 gadget. Instead of another yes/no poll in the group chat, you submit a little purchase request and let people make the case for or against it.
How it works:
- Add the item, price, buying reason, and an alternative.
- Send it to a group of friends or the public square.
- People approve or reject the request and explain their reasoning.
- Review other people's requests too. The final buying decision stays with you.
It seems like a fun fit for friends who enjoy debating small everyday decisions, or anyone who wants a pause before an impulse purchase.
For some background, New Weekly reported that a purchase-approval game in China had attracted over 300,000 participants.
Try it here: walletwait app
Walletwait app supports both English and Chinese. You can browse the public square without logging in; submitting requests and participating requires Google or email sign-in.
I'd be interested in feedback on two things:
- Is it clear what to do when you first open the site?
- Would you use this with friends, or would opinions from strangers be more useful?
As a developer, what interests me about Walletwait app is how it turns a private moment of hesitation into something other people can participate in. Writing down why you want an item might already make you reconsider it, even before anyone votes.
But I think the real value has to come from the reasons behind the votes. Ten “reject” votes don’t tell you much. One person asking “Would you still want this if it weren’t on sale?” might actually help. That makes me wonder whether the product should give thoughtful replies more attention than the approval score.
There’s also an interesting tension between friends and strangers. Friends understand your situation, but might just agree with you. Strangers can offer a fresh perspective, but they’re judging a purchase with very little context. A small treat can easily look unnecessary to someone who knows nothing about your day.
My biggest question is whether the reviewer role stays fun. People don’t have a purchase to submit every day. Would they come back just to discuss someone else’s decision, or does the novelty wear off after a few rounds?
If I were evaluating this product, I’d look at whether people return to review requests and whether the replies help them think—not just how many votes get cast.
Would you use something like this mainly as a game with friends, or as a place to get an outside opinion before buying something?

I built a 15-second check-in wellness app. Would love a few testers
Hi! I'm a PM, and I built a small tool called Reset for days when work leaves you running on empty.
You tap how you feel, how much time you have and your budget, and it suggests one small thing to help, like a 2-minute stretch or texting a friend. Later it asks how it went and learns what actually helps you.
- About 15 seconds, with an optional reminder email at a time you pick
- Works on laptop or phone, nothing to download
- Free, no streaks, stop anytime
It's open to anyone 18+ who works in tech through Nov 10. Link in the comments. I'd love honest feedback in the comments, good or bad!

I made a simple tool to track my learning progress
I built Trakstep to make it easier to track what I'm learning.
Paste a course link, syllabus, YouTube playlist, or even a roadmap from ChatGPT, and turn it into a checklist to track your progress.
It's free. Give it a try and let me know what you think!

Walletwait app — turn “should I buy this?” into a group decision game
I'm a developer at FoolFishGames. One web-app idea that caught my attention is turning “should I buy this?” into a social game.
A New Weekly report published by 36Kr says over 300,000 people took part in a purchase-approval game in China: https://www.36kr.com/p/4019364731522952
Walletwait app (钱包请等等, roughly “Wallet, please wait”) lets you try this format in a browser: https://walletwait.app/
The flow is simple:
• Write down the item, price, why you want it, and an alternative.
• Share the request with a group or the public square.
• Other people approve or reject it and explain why. You still decide what to buy.
For example, a $40 gadget can become a debate about whether it solves a real problem or will end up in a drawer. Reviewing someone else's request is part of the activity too.
It seems suited to friends who enjoy playful debates, or people who want a pause before an everyday impulse purchase. The interface is currently in Chinese; submitting a purchase request requires Google or email sign-in.
Would you rather get opinions from friends who know you, or strangers who have no reason to agree with you?

I built a completely free, ad-free alternative to iLovePDF for splitting, merging, and converting PDFs
Hey everyone,
Like many of you, I was tired of hitting daily limits, dealing with heavy ad clusters, or being forced to sign up just to split or merge a quick PDF file. So, I decided to build a clean, minimalist web utility platform to solve this problem.
It’s completely free to use, and I’ve just optimized the main features:
- ** PDF Splitter & Merger ** - Combine multiple PDFs into one document or separate pages in seconds.
- ** Fast PDF Converter ** - Convert images to pdf documents without losing layout quality.
- ** Fast PDF Converter ** - Convert PDF documents to other formats (and vice versa) without losing layout quality.
- **Bonus Utility** - It also handles basic image compression and text formatting operations in the same clean dashboard.

I wanted to keep it 100% free and user-friendly with zero registration walls. Since it's in the early launch phase, I would absolutely love to get your honest feedback. What other tools or features should I add next? Thanks for checking it out! 🙏

I got tired of paywalled exam prep & surface-level dev blogs, so I built Examnetwork — a 100% free educational & tech learning platform
Hey everyone! 👋
Over the last few months, I’ve been working on a side project called [Examnetwork](https://examnetwork.org).
### 💡 Why I built this
Preparing for competitive exams and technical software engineering interviews has gotten increasingly frustrating. Most quality resources are either locked behind steep paywalls, cluttered with intrusive ads, or scattered across dozens of sketchy PDF forums.
I wanted to build a clean, unified platform that stays **100% free for everyone**, combining structured academic preparation with real-world developer content.
---
### 🚀 What’s on the platform:
- **Curated Exam Hub & Past Papers:** Well-organized previous years' questions (PYQs), topic breakdowns, and syllabus tracking for major entrance and competitive exams.
- **Tech Pedia & Engineering Guides:** In-depth, practical breakdowns of software engineering concepts, AI coding agents, and modern tech interview prep.
- **Clean & Fast UI:** Zero bloat, no forced sign-ups to view content, and instant page loads.
- **100% Free Forever:** No paywalls, no locked chapters, and no subscription tiers.
---
### 🛠️ The Tech Stack:
- Vanilla HTML5 / CSS3 & Modern JavaScript (fast, lightweight, highly responsive)
- Clean, responsive glassmorphic UI design
---
### 🔗 Link & Feedback Request:
You can check it out live here: **[https://examnetwork.org](https://examnetwork.org))**
I’d love your brutal, honest feedback:
- How does the UI and navigation feel on your device?
- Is there any specific subject, exam, or tech topic you think I should add next?
- Any performance or design improvements you’d suggest?
*(P.S. If you find it helpful and want to support an independent student-led project, leaving a quick review on our [Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/examnetwork.org) helps us a ton with visibility!)*
Thanks for checking it out! 🙌

[Project] I built MultiTools — a collection of useful online tools in one place
Hey everyone! 👋
I've been working on MultiTools, a web application that brings a collection of useful online tools together in one place.
The idea is simple: instead of visiting multiple websites for small everyday tasks, you can access different utilities from a single website.
🛠️ Some of the available tools include:
• Developer tools: JSON Formatter, UUID Generator, JWT Decoder, Base64 Encoder/Decoder
• Text tools: Word Counter, Case Converter, Markdown Preview, URL Slug Generator
• PDF tools: Merge, Split, Compress, Convert, Rotate, and more
• Color tools: Color Picker and CSS Gradient Generator
• Productivity tools: Focus Timer and Randomizer Wheel
• Other utilities: Password Generator and QR Code Generator
I'm building this to make everyday tasks quicker and more convenient, and I plan to keep improving it by adding more useful tools.
🔗 Try it here: https://www.multi-tools.app/
I'd really appreciate feedback from this community!
• Which tools do you find most useful?
• What features would you like to see added?
• Is there anything I could improve about the user experience?
Thanks for checking it out! 🙌
