It's fiction because the Russians never agreed to a ceasefire, beyond a day or two when the US diplomats visit. Not since being lied to by Ukraine and the West too many times in the past.
Well you kind of proved my point or the meme, it says Ukraine agrees to a ceasefire and Russia breaks it and you just said Russia never agrees to a ceasefire.
What lies? Putin doesn’t have any high ground here.
To put it in basic legal terms: in order to breach an agreement, you have to have entered into the agreement to begin with.
Party A can't unilaterally declare that they've entered into an agreement that no one else has signed on to, and then insist that Party B must abide by it.
No, my words were that Russia never agreed to a ceasefire. Whether that means they don't want peace is something you can infer one way or the other as you like, but don't put words in my mouth that I never said.
That said, why the hell would Putin want peace right now? The longer this goes on, the better it ends for him. He's a warmongering dick so he doesn't care about the human toll just like Zelenskyy clearly doesn't. I feel sorry for the Ukranian people who are caught between them right now.
Right not, neither side wants peace. Zelenskyy wants all the territory he lost in the war and Putin wants to make sure Ukraine never becomes part of NATO. That means they're going to keep fighting as long as Zelenskyy continues to receive foreign aid. Once that inevitably dries up, I suspect the war probably won't last more than another few years after that.

There's literally no ceasefire to break.
