Discussion & Feedback I do NOT consent

Post image
2.5k Upvotes

I never would have thought that I could feel violated from playing a video game, but here we are. After 170 hours of play, there is one thing that has consistently crossed a major boundary for me that I have to get off my chest. I do NOT consent to anyone injecting a mystery serum into my body!

Real talk though, I am not a big fan of these stims. They're great for if the HZ gets pulled and we need to urgently run across the map, but otherwise, the yellow vignette and increased FOV just makes it much harder for me to see enemies when in the HZ. Additionally, there is usually no reason to be sprinting inside of the HZ once you are already in it either.

I would love to see the the yellow vignette and increased FOV removed or toned down, or just an option to disable receiving stims from teammates.

I recognize that I may be alone in this, but I DO NOT CONSENT.

It's honestly jaw dropping. A month out from release and this level of change, fixes and content is outrageous, fixing obvious issues across the board alongside new stuff to play with.

See new Twitter/X post from John Wardogs.

Inevitably, with the new Ping restrictions in place, the game is currently being review-bombed on Steam by users from certain regions who are most affected.

Please let's show our support for the Devs and this great game by leaving Positive Reviews! Show some love!

Discussion & Feedback Logistics changes don’t make sense. Spoiler

OUTDATED - DISREGARD
Updated Chart: https://www.reddit.com/r/WarDogs/s/Gu6tzD3tXl

I’m struggling to understand the reasoning behind the Season 2 logistics changes.

We’re getting a 50% reduction in base pallet payouts, reduced transport and return-trip rewards, and a new streak system that makes you work your way back toward what you were already earning.
Meanwhile, assault rewards are increasing, FOB construction is getting more expensive, and the frontline needs more supplies.
I’ve spent plenty of matches doing nothing but logistics, and I don’t remember making much more than $130k gross in a good match. That’s before paying for Urals, pallets, and whatever I lost along the way.
The roads are already punishing enough. You can drive perfectly for 20 minutes and still get blown up by an AT mine or rocket helicopter. Now we’re expected to maintain delivery streaks for competitive payouts?
I understand wanting to encourage players to return their trucks instead of abandoning them, but why not actually reward return trips instead of cutting the base payout?
Logistics should be one of the best ways to make money in this game**.**

You’re risking your time and equipment to provide something the entire team depends on.
I’m genuinely curious whether the developers have data showing logistics was overpaying compared to combat, because that hasn’t been my experience.
What do other logistics players think?

Dev Reply Logi "streaks" are a little underwhelming

Post image
817 Upvotes

So they decreased logi pallet dropoffs to $1,250, down from $2,500.

They added a pallet streak that gives +$125 up to a streak of 10, so $1,250.

Now we're back at $2,500.

The return trip +$50 will only bring that up to $3,000 at max streaks.

So, in total it's a +$500 to logi deliveries after 10 trips? I thought this would be a more substantial gain to be honest.

Discussion & Feedback The REAL way to solve Blue problem

Post image

New Cash and XP bonus to Blue team is just bullshit. In a few days all people playing Blue will be ahead with the unlocks, and good luck with that. Want to solve the problem? Incentivise not picking a specific team.

Want to play with your favorite faction? Fine, you'll just not get any bonus.

WARDOG Track Changes

  • Mechanical Supply Pallet (LVL 5, $10k, previously unlocked by default)
  • Ammo Supply Pallet (LVL 9, $25k, previously unlocked by default)
  • Fuel Supply Pallet (LVL 16, $50k, previously unlocked by default)

What does it mean? I need level 16 to be able to supply Fuel to FOB? And pay 50k for that? This is crazy

Anybody else think the Halligan Bar should be able to pry open a supply chest and grab items for 1/3 the price if you find one in the zone? I think it'd give the kinda already useless item some more use. You can pry vehicle doors already, so why not this?

Discussion & Feedback Lets have a chat about these Logistics changes. (They're really bad, for everyone)

Logistics

Base logistics rewards are lower, but new delivery streaks add a bonus for every consecutive run, so logistics players are rewarded for making return trips instead of abandoning their vehicles.

New delivery streaks:

Crates: +$50 / +25 XP per crate in a row, up to 10.

Pallets: +$125 / +50 XP per pallet in a row, up to 10.

Players: +$25 / +5 XP per player in a row, up to 25.

Return trips: +$50 / +25 XP per trip in a row, up to 10.

Other Logisitics Changes

Player Delivered $150 → $100, XP 50 → 25.

Player Delivered (ground vehicle) $500 → $350.

Return Trip (ground vehicle) $250 → $150, XP 100 → 50.

Deploy Supply Crate: small $500 → $250, large $1,000 → $500;

XP small 250 → 200, large 500 → 400.

Deploy Supply Crate (air vehicle) XP: small 200 → 150, large 400 → 300.

Deploy Supply Pallet $2,500 → $1,250, XP 500 → 400 (750 → 500 from a ground vehicle).

Ural's are no longer profitable to buy and dump. I understand that particular change but to counter-act this they have added cumulative trip rewards. See comment below on how flawed they are.

Proposed change: Bring back XP/$ values on pallets to original values, significantly reward return trip to HQ, halve the amount of trips it takes to reach max stacks on XP bonuses.

The less logistics is rewarded, the less fobs overall. Fobs make the game, they're fun to raid and defend, and give flavor to the matches.

Outdated, see new patch notes

Discussion & Feedback Why are we nerfing one of the things that makes Wardogs unique?

Why was building nerfed so hard?

Just nerf the magnets and mortar pits. One of each per FOB. Easy. You don't need to do anything more.

The building and logistics aspect of this game is such a unique thing, something you don't really get in such an accessible format anywhere else. It's one of the best aspects of Wardogs, where some of the most fun is to be had, and where there's probably the highest level of player expression. Literally every match you have something different to attack or defend.

I've played 125+ hours, plus around 6 hours in the beta. Total level 121. I've played all classes more or less equally. My highest are Recon 28, Medic 25 and Support 25, with the rest somewhere between 10 and 20. So no, I wasn't just some FOBlet spending the entire game building.

FOBs affect so many aspects of the game. It's incredibly fun to raid different bases, big, small, medium, hidden away in the middle of nowhere, whatever. Attacking them, figuring out their layouts and finding their weak spots. And it's just as fun to plan, build and defend your own bases. Trying different locations, coming up with different layouts, deciding where to put chokepoints, how to protect certain areas...

Now we have items that have skyrocketed in price, and the X change makes everything so fucking tedious. Who thought that was a good idea? Sometimes, even if you're the only one with a working brain trying to get a CIWS built, you can't even finish the damn thing because of mortars, helis or just random people shooting at it, constantly bringing the completion percentage back down.

And that's another thing. It's so much fun to have a semi-decent base that you've built yourself and then actually try to defend it, paying attention to its weak spots, figuring out what works and what doesn't, adapting as the battle goes on.

If I want large-scale battles on a big map, there are 309239 games for that. If I want to run around chasing a fucking circle with a gun in my hand, there are plenty of games for that too. But the FOB gameplay and all the dynamics that come from it? You get that in very, very few games.

These changes are just going to result in fewer FOBs around the map, or maybe just one big FOB, where you basically need esports levels of coordination for it not to become a shit experience. Everyone has a different idea of how a base should be built, where things should go, what needs defending, etc. And when everyone is forced to build in the same place, that's going to be a mess.

We're going to lose so much of the variation and uniqueness that comes from having different players building different bases in different ways.

And there's another big issue with having fewer FOBs. At the start of the game, the first guy who gets his hands on a FOB and places it inside the CZ basically gets to decide where everyone is going to build. And 80% of the time it'll be in some shit location, or the exact same spot as every other match, because people will rush to get that square on the map. Then all the builders and logistics drivers will naturally gravitate towards that FOB, bringing pallets and building there.

So instead of having multiple bases, different approaches, different defensive positions and different things to attack, we'll end up concentrating everything in the same few places over and over again.

Building and logistics are not some side activity that needs to be kept under control. They're a huge part of what makes Wardogs different from other games. Why are we making one of its most unique and enjoyable features less fun?

Instead of just nerfing building because you don't want people sitting far away from the battle, enclosed inside some Bremmer wall sarcophagus, why not try to better integrate FOB gameplay with the people chasing the hotzone?

Why not give FOBs more things that actually help the guys fighting on the frontline? Ammo vendors, armor repair stations, grenade dispensers, whatever. Things that would make soldiers actively want to visit and use FOBs, and actually appreciate having a well-built base nearby.

Make FOBs something that benefits everyone, not just the people building them. Give the guys chasing the HZ a reason to see FOBs as a useful part of the battle, instead of just some random place where a bunch of people are sitting behind walls, supposedly not playing the game.

Instead of making building less fun to force people into the hotzone, why not make FOBs more useful so the hotzone players actually want to interact with them?

Discussion & Feedback Updated Driver XP & Cash Chart

Devs made a mistake, these are with the revised patch notes.

I’m still concerned with trying to keep a streak going with how often logi is targeted mid-late wipe.

Driver XP changes are great.

Profitability is a different story.

Assuming 9-minute round trips, 2 pallets per Ural, uninterrupted streaks, and vehicle/supply expenses deducted:

Break-even: Approximately 45 minutes (5 successful round trips).
Season 2 starts outperforming Season 1 after five consecutive successful deliveries, eventually earning $15,500 more (+20.5%) over 90 minutes.
These are idealized estimates assuming no destroyed trucks, lost supplies, or interrupted streaks.
