DISCUSSION BREAKING 🚨: Trump Says America Is About to Kill the “Golden Goose

Post image
3.1k Upvotes

Trump just went all-in defending the data center boom as backlash continues to grow across the country.
His message is pretty simple: embrace the AI/data center buildout or watch the jobs, money and investment go somewhere else.
He even warned China “could not be happier” about the pushback.
The AI infrastructure fight is getting political now.

Iran is becoming more than a foreign-policy story. It could become a midterm issue. And if escalation continues into November, does it hurt Republicans at the ballot box or strengthen them?

DISCUSSION You know something is wrong when stocks FALL after the U.S. economy unexpectedly adds +162,000 jobs — nearly TRIPLE expectations of +55,000.

You know something is wrong when stocks FALL after the U.S. economy unexpectedly adds +162,000 jobs — nearly TRIPLE expectations of +55,000.
Why?
Because a stronger labor market raises fears that interest rates could stay higher for longer — or even increase.
This is what happens after 60 straight months of 2%+ inflation.
We’ve reached a point where good economic news can become bad news for markets.
Wall Street is now effectively rooting for the labor market to weaken.

DISCUSSION Anthropic IPO prospectus shows $42,000,000,000.00 net loss in 2025 🫠

Post image
697 Upvotes

So let me get this straight, just a few weeks after Dario and Sammy Altman are going on a press tour talking about how AI is going to lead to the destruction of humanity…Antropics ipo prospectus shows the following data:

• Anthropic reported a GAAP net loss of about $42 billion for 2025.

• Revenue grew roughly 12x to about $4.6 billion.

• Operating loss was about $8.06 billion.

• Compute/infrastructure spend was about $7.33 billion.

It is worth noting that Reuters stated that roughly $34 billion of the net loss was an accounting charge tied to the rising estimated value of financing that could convert into shares, not cash spent running the business.

Interesting nonetheless, could they be trying to set themselves up for a “Too big too fail” bailout?

DISCUSSION "I made the diesel prices fall"

Post image

So apparently Trump is trying to reach a diesel deal with Russia.

What a time. Just before the midterms.

So suppose the deal goes on. Diesel prices fall X percent. Then it wouldn't surprise me if he comes out saying something like:

"Despite the fact that there is a big conflict in the Middle East that we didn't want, we took responsibility and had to step in because of the threat of Iran having a nuclear weapon. I was still able to bring down prices for the American people... blah blah"

What do you guys expect to happen?

DISCUSSION 🚨Report: U.S consumers just keep on spending.

Post image
427 Upvotes

US consumers just keep on spending.

US retail sales rose +1.2% in August, the largest monthly increase since March.

At the same time, retail sales excluding autos increased +1.4%, the 2nd-biggest monthly increase since January 2023.

Furthermore, control-group sales, which feed into the GDP calculation, surged +1.4%, the largest monthly increase since September 2024.

Meanwhile, retail sales adjusted for inflation rose +0.8% MoM in August, to a record $231.6 billion.

Since January 2026, real retail sales have risen +$6.7 billion, or +3.0%.

The US consumer is still spending despite inflation.

DISCUSSION U.S. Recession Probability Has Collapsed to Nearly 0%

Post image
248 Upvotes

For all the recession talk, the current data isn’t showing it.The latest U.S. recession probability estimate is sitting near 0%. For comparison, the model surged toward 100% during the 2008 financial crisis and roughly 95% during the 2020 recession.
Even the 2022–23 slowdown scare produced a noticeable spike.
Today, despite elevated rates, geopolitical uncertainty and concerns about the economy slowing, recession probability remains pinned near the bottom.
The economy can still weaken from here, but right now the data isn’t signaling an imminent U.S. recession.

DISCUSSION Why does U.S. politics barely talk about improving people’s quality of life?

Is it just me, or does U.S. politics seem to revolve around the same topics over and over again? Race, culture wars, actual wars, and endless political drama.

I’m not saying these issues aren’t important, but what about people’s actual well-being?
Public transportation? Better infrastructure? Affordable housing? Healthcare? Making cities more walkable and improving everyday life?
It feels like these things barely get the attention they deserve compared to all the political fighting.

Like, shouldn’t improving people’s lives be one of the biggest priorities of a government?
It’s honestly wild to watch. WTF lol.
Am I the only one who feels this way?

DISCUSSION 🚨 OPERATION ECONOMIC OUTCAST: U.S. LAUNCHES “ECONOMIC D-DAY” AGAINST IRAN Explained:

🚨 OPERATION ECONOMIC OUTCAST: U.S. LAUNCHES “ECONOMIC D-DAY” AGAINST IRAN
The United States has launched Operation Economic Outcast, a major financial offensive designed to further isolate Iran from the global economy and choke off its remaining sources of revenue.
Here’s what you need to know:
🇺🇸** “ECONOMIC D-DAY”
Treasury Secretary **Scott Bessent
unveiled the initiative as an unprecedented coordinated effort to economically isolate Iran.
Instead of relying solely on military action, the strategy aims to use the U.S. financial system, sanctions, and international economic pressure as weapons against Tehran.
🌎 SECONDARY SANCTIONS ARE THE BIG STORY
The pressure isn't limited to Iran.
The U.S. is targeting third-party countries, companies, financial institutions, and shipping networks that continue helping Iran generate revenue.
That potentially puts major Iranian trading partners—including:
🇨🇳** China
🇮🇳
India
🇦🇪
United Arab Emirates
under increased scrutiny if entities within those countries continue:
• Purchasing Iranian oil
• Facilitating money transfers
• Transporting Iranian goods by sea
• Helping Iran circumvent existing sanctions
🚢 **60+ INDIVIDUALS, ENTITIES & VESSELS TARGETED

The Treasury Department sanctioned more than 60 individuals, companies, and vessels allegedly involved in Iran's financial and trade networks.
The targets reportedly include networks involved in:
• Procuring technology
• Managing Iranian oil revenue
• Operating exchange houses
• Moving sanctioned goods and funds
• Supporting maritime transportation
🎯 THE STRATEGIC GOAL
The administration's objective is straightforward:
Cut off Iran's remaining financial lifelines without escalating into a much larger conventional war.
The strategy attempts to make the economic cost of continuing the conflict increasingly unsustainable and ultimately pressure Tehran back to the negotiating table.
📈 WHY MARKETS SHOULD PAY ATTENTION
This could become much bigger than an Iran story.
If secondary sanctions begin significantly impacting companies or institutions in China, India, the UAE, or global shipping networks, the consequences could ripple through:
🛢️** Oil & Energy
🚢 **Shipping

💵 Currencies
🏦 Global Banking
📦 International Trade
📈 Equity Markets
The biggest question now:
Can the U.S. economically isolate Iran without creating major disruptions across global energy markets and international trade?
