At this point, I assume he will just start getting more extreme with his fabrications to try to distract people who read his posts from actual facts. Everything in this post is false, but I wouldn't be surprised if he starts claiming Democrats are kidnapping children or murdering farmers.

u/sorrymizzjackson 27d ago
That seems tame, really. It took “immigrants eating cats and dogs” to do the last one.
Plus we’ve already been subjected to pizza gate, buttery males, and impromptu forced sex changes on children during gym class. We’ve also heard way too much about Hunter Biden’s dong as well as the old mushroom himself. I’m beginning to think these guys may not actually have a platform you guys.

The problem is that no amount of distraction will stop his base from seeing the $7 a gallon diesel at every gas station while they drive their small buses to work. It’s costing them $250 dollars to fill up a 35 gallon tank. He can’t distract that away and he has no solution to lower prices.
→ More replies (1)2
u/Mister-Ferret 26d ago
No see you have that all wrong, that gas tank could only hold $100 of gas under Biden.

Most GOP campaigns in Iowa are already doing that. They're all screaming about trans people, "dangerous illegal immigrants" and "socialists that hate America."

There’s no chance in hell they let the public even sniff those files. Trump will cancel the election before him and his handlers get outed as pedophiles. He literally started a war and tanked the economy to stop it. They’re worse than anyone actually imagines they are.

Everything he said in that post is false, e.g. https://www.factcheck.org/2024/10/posts-make-unfounded-claim-about-beyonces-endorsement-of-harris/
It's such a special irony that he is asking for prosecution here. A post about the things he could (and has) been prosecuted on would fill a novel, and be based in actual, factual, prosecutable offenses. Like, I dunno, telling the nation he'll pay everyone $5k if they vote Republican.

sadly a lot of the people reading this will not fact check or frankly even care if the evidence is put in front of them in a way they can't avoid. "well the fact it was believable says a lot" seems to come up a lot lately (i won't pretend this doesn't happen on both ends) and honestly it's hard to navigate that one with someone who won't go deep on the facts and instead takes him at his word

Can you imagine what would happen if people could buy special access to the Presidency, or, I don't know, pardons? Or pay to be on a special "board of peace"? Or if the President were to, I don't know, endorse a preferred car company? Or manipulating the market with announcements that affect stock prices owned by the President and his inner circle?

u/Empty_Environment24 27d ago
Have you ever seen anyone more incapable of self reflection
2
u/Unhappy-Professor-88 27d ago
It’s ironic really. That he cannot see beyond his own reflection on even a single matter of fact and that makes him utterly incapable of self reflection.
Also, when was Beyoncé ever booed off stage? This is a question btw, I’m not American. I just feel I’d have read about that. Even from across the globe. Was she booed because she didn’t sing? Or has he made this up whole-cloth? Again?

You’re not allowed to pay for pardons either. Maybe we should look into that under this guy’s “administration”

u/ResolveLeather 27d ago
You are allowed to pay for endorsements. You are not allowed to buy votes. Campaign promises are not considered buying votes.
Every campaign employee is effectively paid for their endorsement as well.

Just to give a little more context to this. This has way more to do with “in kind contributions” and are highly regulated. I know it sounds crazy sometimes but there’s very strict laws about celebrities and how they can contribute politically vs volunteer.
Under federal campaign-finance law, the default rule is that goods or services provided to a campaign for free or below the “usual and normal charge” are an in-kind contribution. The value is generally the prevailing commercial rate.
That value counts toward contribution limits and has reporting consequences.
