AMC finally closing?
We noticed that the AMC in Waco has drastically limited the number of movies showing next week and all of the shows for this Friday and Saturday are sold out. Does anyone know if they’re finally closing, fumigating or just scheduling showtimes based on their demand?

I wouldn't be surprised. It could use a full remodel and new equipment at least

Damn no way. This isn’t surprising, just unfortunate. This is extremely disheartening considering AMC just announced they were gonna make more of an effort to be a platform for indie filmmakers.
Galaxy Starplex/AMC and Regal Hollywood gave me hella memories. RIP.

It sucks because they got more niche horror films than Cinemark…Cinemark will play previews for a bunch hold horror films and then not show them. But AMC would always have them.

Wow that’s lame, hopefully not though. I just moved here and was excited to be able to use my amc A list… but yeah seating sucks tho

Unfortunately cooked. Hate to see it happen, but not surprised. Theatres improve and constantly pushed themselves out of business.

It’s true. The 9pm screening on Thursday 8 Oct was their final one. Waco is a great place to fail. I’ve seen it all my life here. Downtown was practically a ghost town for decades. I even asked about how I could live in one of the old buildings. Realtors laughed at me and said no one would ever live downtown. Then, it all changed, but the bubble is deflating and it’ll soon be as it was thirty years ago.

I just googled it which is something you could have done and it says they’re not closing in Waco!

I love that you decided to be a complete horse's ass...and, surprising absolutely no one, you're wrong.

What’s rude about the truth?

You should probably make sure it IS the truth before deciding you have room to be a dick about it.

This is beautiful. How does it feel looking dumb while trying to make other people feel dumb?

Only having one theater in town sucks
