Howdy folks! I've been admitted to the online MBA program in '27! I have an EE undergraduate degree and haven't been in a classroom in over 10 years so I'm a bit nervous. I couldn't afford to attend UMiami for undergrad so I figured I'd circle back and give it a shot for my Master's. Any feedback/insight on UM's program would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! I’m looking for a tutor for intro to stats. We can meet on campus or close by.
Thank you :)

Hello guys, I transferred to a 4 year university after finishing my AA degree at Miami Dade College this summer but I want to go back to community college and do another major. Im currently doing a BFA in Graphic Design. The reason why I want to change paths and risk having to keep going to college for 3 more years is because of how competitive my degree is and how it is getting affected by generative AI. I want something white collar because I’ve always felt more comfortable working in an office. After graduating in 2024 and seeing how well UX/UI designers were doing I decided go into this major with this in mind because of not having to learn coding like other majors. I do have all my general education classes done. Except I do believe I would have to take new math classes if I were to change my major because the maths I had to take were for liberal art majors. But also I don’t know which major I want to go for. I like money of course but I’m bad at math, well I have also haven’t taken the time to learn as I should and don’t have a good ACT or SAT scores. I would be willing to study to retake this tests and to get better at math. And still don’t know what would happen to my FasFa if I transferred this spring. Any tips?

Hey all — I'm studying abroad this spring and looking for someone to take over my room at VOX Miami Phase I from Jan 1 to May 15. It's the 4-bed/4-bath D1 layout (1,200 sqft unit), so you'd get your own bedroom and your own bathroom, with a shared kitchen and living room and 3 roommates. Fully furnished, washer/dryer in the unit.

Rent is $1,800/month and includes utilities + internet. It's right by campus (~4 min) and basically on top of the Metrorail, plus all the VOX amenities (pool, gym, study rooms, 24/7 market).

Would be ideal for a spring transfer, someone coming back from abroad, or an incoming grad/med student. There are some VOX building/amenity tours here if you want a look: [TikTok link 1] · [TikTok link 2]. Happy to send more photos and answer anything — just DM me and we can go from there.

Alexander Mihaylov appears to be denying the attack on President Trump last night.

**It’d be a shame if conservative or non-conservative students were to report this to the university or the governor….

Has anyone had University of Miami accept a Math 099 or 101 course from another school?

Hi everybody! I am applying to UMiami for the Spring 26 semester and I was wondering if anybody has some recommendations for scholarships?

I have 100% bright futures but that won’t cover all of the tuition.

I work while going to school but I do still need a little financial help, I unfortunately do not qualify for FAFSA since I am not a citizen.

Any help is welcome!

I've been trying to figure out how to evaluate whether grad school was (or will be) "worth it," and I keep running into the problem that the standard framing — compare your post-degree salary to what you would have earned otherwise — feels way too reductive.

Like, how do you factor in things like:

• Opportunity cost of lost wages during school
• Tuition debt and the interest on it
• Non-financial outcomes (career flexibility, prestige, personal growth, access to a network)
• Time to break even vs. years left in your career
• Funded programs where you're actually earning a stipend
• Counterfactual earnings — what would you realistically have made without the degree?

Wondering how people here have actually tried to quantify this — or whether you've made peace with the idea that some of it can't be quantified at all. Did you build a spreadsheet? Run the numbers after the fact? Decide the math doesn't matter? Would love to hear different approaches, especially from people in fields where the ROI calculation is genuinely murky (academia, arts, social work, etc.).

I am in search of 3 graduation tickets for the 4pm ceremony on Thursday, May 7. If you have even just one extra, I would really really appreciate it so it doesn't go to waste! please reach out
