Terminal Lucidity: A phenomenon in which one experiences a moment of clarity before things turn for the worse; commonly associated with those with Alzhimers/Dimentia.

Some may think its a blessing, a chance to tell those who you love goodbye one final time before they are lost forever. Others may see it as life twisting the blade as those who had to experience those they love wither away into someone unrecongizeable to even themselves, traped in a perputal moment in time within their mind that has long past, only for them to return for a brief moment only to be ripped away again; traped with their degrading mind; seemingly everywhere at the end of time.

Of course, theres cases in where this is experiences outside of the most known examples; but one must wonder if other things besides humans can experience this phenomina. perhaps, even monsters.

One could only imagine what Chujins final moments were like as their SOUL crumbled away; the thoughts that ran though his mind as the cold embrase of death creeps in. He could have passed in his sleep, or perhaps, he too had a moment of clarity; thinking for the first time in a long time as himself before he injected himself. The thoughts of familty, the good times... and the day where it all went to hell. Within Chujins final moments, it dawns on him the actions he has taken; eveything he has done thinking its the best for his family, for monsterkind; only for the bitter truth that has been in front of him the whole time to finally be acknowleged. The thought of Ceroba going down the same path that brought him to his dimise; the thought of Kanako blaming herself for what happened to him if she were to learn the truth behind his demise. He was a fool in over his head, his hatred of the human that attacked his familty and the families of others that day had consumed him... turning him into the very things he hated about humans; perpetuating the cycle of violence. He cant move, he cant get up; try as can, the weight of the world and his grief holds him down; forcing him to spend the final moments he has to stop the things he had set in motion todo nothing, powerless.

As the darkness surrounds him, tears blur his vision as the unmistakble feeling of his very being falling apart takes hold; powerless to stop it. He tries to scream into the darkness, but is too weak to utter a world. This is the end, and theres nothing he can do about it... nothing but scream into the darkness with evey last ounce of his cracking soul, pleaing to the angel for a mirracle, for something to stop this monster that he created from consuming their lives to just like it did with his.

One can only imagine his final moments were not peaceful in realities where this happens, and the aggony of his final moments. . . the fear, the regret, the guilt, the thought at being a failure at being a husband and father. His soul breaks, and then scilence; nobody came.

Except this time, out of infinite versions of himself going through the same painful end, crying for help into the black, someone heard his plea for life and chose to intervene; just this once.

This is part of a conceptual framework for a potential story narrative for Chujin that I have not seen. I would continue it, but I lack the creativity, storytelling power, and skills to make it a fully fleshed-out series, which is why I am making this an open concept. It's only half finished now; the second part will reveal what I have in mind, and hopefully, it will inspire someone capable of doing what I'm incapable of doing to flesh it out and explore it.

This sprite comic took me 12 hours to piece together with Aseprite and is probably the most effort I've put into something UTY-related to date. I hope my efforts to show what I have in mind catch people's attention, because if it inspires someone to explore it, then I have succeeded in what this is meant to do.

Expect part 2 sometime soon, maybe before the end of the month; it depends on how well this performs, I guess; but until then, I will leave you with a question:

Kanako wanted to play dress-up with Shibva, and he didn't have the heart to say no (especially when she made those puppy eyes). She's quite proud of herself for doing a great job (to his detriment).
