They are being all lost in CM20 finals apparently lol, I thought I was the only one who got 2nd lol

I'm very sorry for the long rant but it really is frustrating to see this horse win in any CMs every single time.

Context: Group A finals. Guides tell frontrunners and late surgers (with Supreme Agemasen) are the metas. Cool. So I trained V. Bourbon, Kitasan, and Agemasen. Each are above UG8. All have decent skills and stats for their roles, stamina are all 1000+ with 1 gold recovery, all have maxed speed and 1000+ power. My team have been demolishing the round 1 and two with about 70+ win rate. Mind in condition that Group A finals will be a breeze. Group A came and my team HORRIBLY lost to a UG3 END CLOSER xOguri that just walked out of nowhere with 2/3 lengths.

It's not funny anymore. This uma robs wins with half-decent stats and skills for the past six CMs. When will Cygames fix this bull character???

GL, a scenario that requires almost 0 running, Is pretty hard to follow if you need the fan count for your ult. The only sprint umas I have are Bukshin, Wedding Curren Chan, and King Halo

I don't usually post CM results, even if I win, but I think Nice Nature winning the Arima Kinen CM after losing every single placement race is a little too perfect to not post. Straight-up channeled the spirit of IRL Nice Nature and promised to avenge him.

She's an ace I built for CM19 but abandoned because the debuffers in that CM were eating her alive (no gold recovery). Somehow, despite getting rushed, she locked in this CM, even though I've seen her visibly run out of stamina towards the end multiple times.

basically, i play the game daily. have been since august 2025. huge fan, seen the anime, the movies, i dont shut up about umamusume, all my friends know its my obnoxious obsession..

but damn i feel so dumb. seeing people talk about the game, they’ve got all these crazy high rank umas, talking about builds and metas and card bonuses and legacies n stuff, i feel like a baby sitting at the adults’ table. like, i get the basics and all, but hearing these people talk about it all down to a science, and on top of that like it’s just common back of hand knowledge, dumbfounds me. meanwhile here i am just like, hmmm today i will train this uma because i haven’t done a career with her in a while, and i think i will use these two umas and these cards and let’s see how we do. im not even gonna bullshit you, a lot of my umas have balanced stats, (yes i listen to tazuna.) and i’m proud of the small handful of S-rank umas i have. i don’t have any friends that are into umamusume but i love talking about the anime and the umas and their stories and all that but i feel like if i were put in a conversation about the game i’d probably just shove my phone in my pocket and be like “oh, yeah. i play it a lot, ha..”

i just feel like i’m bad at the game and embarrassed about it because how can i be such a huge fan of umamusume but be so dumb and bad at the game?

is there anyone else out there like me? am i just a filthy casual?

edit: thank you all for your replies, i feel better now :) it would be cool to be super knowledgeable and strong in the game, but for now i will continue enjoying it how i enjoy it.

I had a Xmas Daiwa Scarlet that I trained specifically for this, but got RNG screwed, didn't get a good position, got rushed and speed-debuffed to the shadow realm and didn't trigger any accels. When all hope was lost, the Mayano I trained during MANT days (not even as an ace, I trained her as a Kitasan parent) ended up snatching the victory

I want to run Spe & El but both have F in Sprint & the highest I can go without inspiration is B. Have to be extremely lucky to get S in them so I was thinking how important it is.

Bingo spinning is such a waste of time, does anyone know if they ever change this in future events?

I've seen quite a lot of people saying that missing 5 logins is not worth 50 pulls. Afaik you're missing about 375 carats in daily rewards, 300 of trophies from Daisca and Palmer's legend races and their crystals, and 1/20 of a SSR copy in exchange of 7500 carats

That's a pretty good deal imo assuming you get permission from your club to have a paid leave. But I get the feeling that im getting something wrong, why is it not worth getting allegedly 50 extra pulls?

Despite all my efforts to build her well, she spent most of the CM getting mogged by my own Narita Taishin, who I happened to high roll and who thus was far more consistent. But when the finals rolled around, not even my own UF Taishin could catch her. Palmer locked in to an unbelievable degree and pulled so far ahead that the other runners just stopped even trying to overtake her until it was much, much too late for them. After spending the last few CMs failing to make her win and having to settle for B finals, I'm overjoyed to have finally achieved my longstanding goal of making my oshi win a full CM.
