That's also the woman that took a loan from Russia to keep her bankrupt party afloat.

We know where she's coming from.

u/madmax177 16h ago

Putin was too generous, paid off every CORRUPT politican.

The paradox of tolerance

It's not tolerance, it's big money's influence over the corrupt

u/Tehjaliz 14h ago

She swindled millions in taxpayer money and there was the real hope that she would be barred from running for presidency :(

Liberal democracies need to address the issues that causes their citizens to vote for these type of parties.

The evil Russian government imprisons parties that oppose it.

The good democratic parties in Europe should imprison those who disagree with them.

Got it.

Of course, I exaggerated a bit, but that doesn't change the fact that this rhetoric encourages you to become like the people you hate.

The former imprisons critical but ultimately innocent parties in blatant violation of fundamental human rights encoded into its law.

The latter would be imprisoning an actual criminal convicted of embezzlement in blatant violation of public trust.

Not sure why you see these as the same. Quite dishonest.

Le Pen was literally convicted of stealing money. Is she the ideal presidential candidate for you? She would be in prison were it not for corruption and her connections.

I don't think she should be even allowed to run for public office.

Just like Trump….

Most of French bonds are held by other European countries such as the UK, Germany, Nordics and the Netherlands.

France wants to stop funding Ukraine? Alright, we dump French bonds on the market and watch their rates skyrocket.

14

u/Belltower_2 15h ago

Exactly what happened to the US bond market after they constantly threatened allies like Canada, Japan, and mainland Europe.

It feels like we should do that again to turn him into the latest duck president there has ever been, also because I am petty and at this point I want the dipshits that support him to suffer.

Great Idea!

Like European leaders have any spine to do that

u/tdrules 9h ago

UK needs France to fix Calais, doubt.

French here.

Both LFI and RN wants to cut support to Ukraine. LFI will make the debt unbearable quickly. RN will do much nothing, as did the previous boomer governments for the last 30 years, letting the country slowing sink to an unbearble debt too.

Setting your neighbours house on fire., Whats the worse that could happen lol.

A healthy france is an healthy europe.

0

u/Oleeddie 15h ago

Have you given it much consideration what that would mean to the savings of these countries?

15

u/Kan4lZ0n3 16h ago

It the same usual suspects, pushing the same usual narratives, always in direct conformation with Putin’s presidential office of propaganda.

Have them go and betray the Western world from Moscow, only after Ukraine has cut off Russia’s global communications access.

The best way to fight back is to take the bots offline.

I hate knowing this is inevitable.

Eastern Europe, Poland in particular, is going to be thrusted into the limelight like never before.

Not in a sense of supporting, Poland has been as supportive as any other, but in the sense that this will be the time they are forced to emerge as Europe's new power. It's been UK, France, and Germany for awhile. Poland's time has arrived.

3

u/Dirkdeking 14h ago

Poland also has its own populists and a feud with Ukraine over the UPA issue. I don't think it is impossible for someone like Grzegorz Braun to win a Polish election in the future.

The bad thing is is that we will have far right EU leaders co existing with Trump for at least a few years if they win. That is really going to maximize damage.

7

u/Ill_Wolverine_6265 16h ago

Tous ceux qui voteront pour elle seront des complices de Poutine.

6

u/Markis_Shepherd 16h ago

She would be president for 1.5 years before the next US (non-MAGA moron) US present is sworn in.

7

u/yIdontunderstand 14h ago

Another Russian funded eu politician....

3

u/Rightsidebestside 15h ago

Doesnt France have any other far-right candidate? Why is this LePen still relevant? Didnt she lose elections like 5 times already?

1

u/7lhz9x6k8emmd7c8 4h ago

LFI is even worse and LFI is psuhing the country into choosing between LFI and Le Pen, evicting the current far center.

3

u/arkiel 14h ago

Shouldn't be news for anybody, and she's not alone sadly, Melenchon would do the same.

2

u/Ori_Sacabaf 16h ago

What? A far-right stooge licking Putin's ass? *mildshock.gif*

2

u/ingenkopaaisen 16h ago

Russia is asking for all their political bots to speak up.

2

u/Rubber_Knee 15h ago

Well, when you're funded by the devil you feel obliged to do his bidding I guess.

2

u/MAXSuicide 14h ago

Not sure why this woman isn't in prison yet.

2

u/Inevitable-Ad9760 11h ago

If you cut Russia's funding, you'll cut Marine Le Pen's funding.

1

u/madmax177 16h ago

Dumb bitch.

1

u/Kind-Handle3063 15h ago

That funding will be used to help Russia of course

1

u/MoveProfessional2666 3h ago

She’s old, it who follows her is more concerning.

1

u/nash196969 2h ago

The French have always been all talk and no action. Just like in world war II and Vietnam. Just a bunch of cowards
