I know this is a longshot but has anyone seen a pink Cheshire cat lanyard with an electric forest owl and car key attached anywhere? It has my spare car key on it and I'm in desperate need of it. I lost it somewhere on campus between West commons and TLC building. Thanks for any help. Unfortunately I don't have a picture?
Has anyone who applied to the UWG pre-licensure BSN program for Spring 2027 received their nursing decision letter yet?
I’m a transfer student, and I haven’t received a nursing decision letter yet. I was wondering if transfer students are getting their decisions at a different time or if anyone else is still waiting.
If you’ve received yours, could you share when you received it and whether you’re a transfer student or current UWG student? Thank you!
The professor is new and this would not be done until after the semester is over. I do not at all think this professor needs to be fired, they are trying but intervention is obviously necessary. This is NOT regarding my grade as I did pass the class.
10 extra credit assignments were needed PLUS a curve to everyone’s class grade to ensure an appropriate passing rate. I am not sure if there is a pass requirement for new professors, but a lot of effort on their end had to be made for people to pass. Out of all of the exams, all of the class averages were under a 50%. This is a class of seniors. Class was always released min. 1 hour early because the professor was hungry for lunch. Only one lecture was held the whole semester. The rest of the classes were spent having pointless conversation about how hard the class was.
I did submit a course eval but there was not enough room to say what needed to be said. The professor begged us to not bash them in the evals so, they knew it was bad.
eta: I am all for following the chain of command so, i did reach out to the professor numerous times, so did others in the class. No changes were made because it was “too late in the semester.”
It has been 10 business days since my application went under review and when I emailed them about it they basically just said "hang in there" like a motivational cat post #whatdatmean
Hey everyone. I'll have my Micro and A&P 2 finished by Spring if 27. My gpa is sitting around a 3.8. Csn I apply for the nursing program and start in the Fall of 27. Any advice to boost my chances?
Hey! I’m looking for a female roommate to take over my lease in Carrollton, GA.
I’m relocating for a job opportunity, so unfortunately I have to move pretty quickly and need someone (female ONLY) to take over my room. Rent is $629/month base rent water and trash included for a private bedroom and private bathroom in a 5 bed/5 bath townhome right next to the University of West Georgia.
There are currently four other people living there. Everyone pretty much keeps to themselves, and the house is generally quiet, so I think it would be a good setup for someone who likes their own space or is more introverted. The room is on the top/third floor.
You don’t have to be a UWG student to live there as well. There is an application/approval process through the property, but I didn’t have to pay a security deposit when I moved in, and since this would be a lease takeover, you shouldn’t have to either. There is in unit laundry available. There is also an on-site study room and pool at the leasing office and the place usually hosts its own events. Apartment is near shopping centers, downtown Carrolton, and parks.
The current lease runs through July 2027. Ideally, I’m looking for someone who can move in by October 14th, but October 20th would be the absolute latest.
Since I’m trying to make this move happen quickly, I’m also willing to pay half of the upcoming October rent for whoever takes over the lease. If anyone is interested or knows someone who might be looking, feel free to DM me and I can give you more details/pictures!
I was planning on rushing in the fall semester but my registration payment got really confused and eventually I figured I would just COB in the spring to save myself the headache.
But so far, info about parties has not gotten to me(I’m a music major lol)and I’m going crazy going from my classes to home to my classes again. So does anybody know the frat party ‘etiquette’ if you will? I have a friend at Georgia Tech, so I know there it’s basically invite only for parties during the week and then they’ll usually let randos in on the weekends; but my friends who go elsewhere say it really depends on the school.
Usually when I face problems like this I just go and check it out for myself bc I’m pretty outgoing. But my sister has told me that going around to different frats on the weekend to see who will let me in might have a negative impact on my chances of getting into a sorority in the spring. So could anyone who’s more in the know(or in a frat, really) fill me in? Thanks!
Anybody know what’s going on with the football team and head coach? University is trying to keep things hush hush but we deserve to know. Plus our team is playing awful! I thought we should’ve kept Taylor but I believe he wanted to go back to Mercer. We were having success under him.
I'm currently at Kennesaw State but I'm thinking about transferring to UWG to play football as a walk-on. I wanna talk to at least a coach before I transfer because I don't wanna get there and not have an opportunity to tryout. I've emailed a coach before but I don't know if there's any way to get an actual conversation with one. Does anyone have maybe a player I can talk to that'll help? Or maybe like a student assistant?
I am just here, asking, if anyone going/accepted had their GED instead of a 'real' high school diploma. My friend going here seems so certain I'll be alright, but as the days inch past and I wait for any word on my application, I get more and more nervous. A tiny amount of further context is 1) I am only 20, 2) I have scored 'College Ready' in 2/4 subjects (and both subjects I did well in are ones I have labelled as being interested in majoring in.) I am just rather worried, I suppose.
Has anyone gotten the acceptance letters or heard from the nursing committee? I have been checking my email since September 3rd LOL I’m hoping I get in.
Hello! I am posting to see if any fellow artists/creatives on the Carrollton campus would love to meet, chat, draw, vibe, journal, and/or create together. :) I was on the hunt for an art club, but I'm not an art student, nor does my gathering qualify as one (though that would be great).
I'd love to have a biweekly or monthly low-stress, fun meeting. I'd bring snacks and materials for those who may not have materials. I really want this to be accessible and LOW-STRESS, and a way to make friends :)
A little bit about me: I'm an English Major (F23) who loves reading, films, playing video games, drawing, journaling, painting, and crafting.
Some of my favorite films/shows: Anything Studio Ghibli, "The Little Mermaid", "Harry Potter", "Interstellar", "Spiderman", "Batman", "Pride and Prejudice", "Little Women", "Coraline", "Breaking Bad", "Better Call Saul", "Tires", "Game of Thrones", "Fallout", "The Crown", "Dark"....etc.
Some of my favorite books: "The Odyssey", ACOTAR, "Frankenstein", "The Book Thief", "The Song of Achilles", "Coraline"
Some of my favorite video games: "The Last of Us", "Minecraft", "Terraria", "The Legend of Zelda", "Animal Crossing", "Grand Theft Auto V", "The Sims", "Kingdom Hearts", "Stardew Valley"
If you are interested in something like this, please fill out this Google Form, and I will create a group chat! Again, I really want this to be accessible, LOW-STRESS, and a way to make friends! :)
I’m graduating in the spring with my BBA in Accounting (120 credit hours), and I’m trying to decide what makes the most sense after graduation.
I know I want to work in accounting, but I’m not completely sure what area yet. Big 4/public accounting, corporate accounting, payroll, and audit all interest me. I’m also planning to pursue my CPA eventually, although I’m not sure exactly when.
My school offers a 30-credit-hour MPAcc (Master of Professional Accountant). Since I’ll graduate with 120 hours, completing the MPAcc would bring me to 150 credit hours for the CPA requirement. It would cost me roughly $2,800 per semester if I take 6 credit hours, so I’m estimating around $14,000 total. I’d probably take two classes (6 hours) per semester and take summer classes as well, while working at the same time.
I’m trying to figure out whether the MPAcc is actually worth the time and money, especially since I’ll probably need to take out loans. I don’t want to spend years and thousands of dollars on a master’s if getting work experience first would make more sense.
For people who work in accounting or have gotten an MPAcc:
* Was the master’s worth it for your career?
* Did it help with getting your first accounting job or increasing your salary?
* If you pursued the CPA, did getting the master’s make the process easier or more worthwhile?
* Would you recommend getting the MPAcc immediately after the bachelor’s, or working for a couple years first?
* Is there a particular accounting career path where you think the master’s is especially valuable?
* If you were in my position again, would you get the MPAcC?
I’m mainly looking for honest opinions from people who have actually worked in accounting or completed a similar program. I’m trying to make sure I’m investing in something that will actually benefit my career rather than just getting another degree because I feel like I’m supposed to.
Can anyone who’s went through the online MAT SPED program and taken the final comprehensive exam in the last semester talk about how easy or hard it is?
