Frat life
Just wondering but how is Greek. Or frat life here. I see yall have a MGC but no real familiar Latino fraternities. Would yall want some? Is this a good place to bring a new frat?

He was around since the year ago I first started UTEP a year ago. I saw him pretty often, then the last time I saw him was a few weeks ago and he was looking, oddly sluggish.. I was a bit worried from that and have also been told that some people have considered taking him home. I’m kind of devastated because he was a really beautiful kitty, and loved by many, but I’m just so uncertain of what may have happened.

I know the only quiet floor of the library is the fifth floor, but the other floors are louder than most public places. I’d even argue the library is louder than union…. especially the first floor. Obviously to counter this I go to the fifth floor for some quiet, but there’s no wifi up here. And everywhere else is so full there’s no seats :/
Does anyone have any good places to study that are more secluded?
In the biggest game in the MWC so far, media darling NDSU traveled to UNLV and got a rude reception from the Rebels. AF, Wyoming, and Nevada were also victorious. Perhaps the biggest beneficiary of the weekend was New Mexico who had a bye but watched Oklahoma beat Texas gave giving the Lobos street cred after New Mexico's close loss to the Sooners.

Hello 👋
I am currently a student looking for help from a fellow student who might be interested in adding to their portfolio. I need someone who can score a song from audio to sheet music, It is officially released on all streaming platforms. It was produced by a fellow undergraduate student on the Commercial Music program and it was mastered at Beacon Hill. I would like to have sheet music so that I can interchangeably look for a guitarist to accompany me. It would only be that 1 track needed. Its Bossa Nova and on the more Adagio to Andante side, if interested here is the link with the song, reach out for further inquiries. Linking the song is not meant to be any sort of advertisement for it!

With 2 out of conference wins the MWC made a statement this week. UNLV beats Cal, AirForce beats Navy. UNM and NDSU roll. Updates on week 5 action, standings, and a look ahead to week 6.

Hi yall. Is anyone having issues logging in to MYUTEP? This morning I could not log in to people soft to submit my hours for my work study position, and now I can’t even log in to MYUTEP at all 😐
Hi y’all! I’m a UTEP alum/local organizer with Common Cause Texas, and I’m hosting an in-person Election Protection training on October 6 at 2 PM!
The training is free and nonpartisan and is all about learning how to help your neighbors make sure they’re able to cast their ballots. We’ll go over voting rights, common issues people may run into at the polls, and how Election Protection volunteers can help voters get the information and support they need.
You don’t need any prior experience or elections knowledge. If you’re a student who’s been wanting to get more involved in El Paso, learn something practical, or find a way to show up for your community, this is a really easy place to start.
I also want it to feel like an actual community event and not just sitting through a training lol. We’ll have food, drinks, coloring, cute Election Protection totes + stickers, and a custom voting Lotería after the training.
It’s also a chance to meet other students and El Pasoans who care about their community, so come by even if you’re completely new to civic engagement!

My class ends at 4:20 and I’m not looking forward to driving home in the worst of traffic and the storm.
Week 4 in the MWC was a mixed bag with UNM and UNLV beating out of conference opponents handily while UTEP and NIU were on the other end. In conference action, AF got by Nevada in 2 OT and Wyoming upset Hawaii. Results, and Week 5 Games.

I’ve been parking at Glory Rd. Parking Garage but it won’t open til noon tomorrow. What are my alternatives since I don’t have a parking permit? Class is by the bookstore if that helps. Thank you!

I applied to the MS in Electrical Engineering for Spring 2027. My application was forwarded to the program committee in mid-September, and I'm trying to get a sense of what to expect.
A few questions for anyone who's been through it:
For context, I'm an international applicant, any insight on the ECE department, or on life in El Paso as a grad student, would be really appreciated.

Hello all. My girlfriend is thinking about going back to school and I was wondering what the all in cost is at UTEP for in state. Tuition / Room / Board. What am I looking at to get her a rental house near campus, pay tuition, food and a car for a semester?

Hey guys I was wondering about parking I know everyone says it’s bad and I start in the spring. I notice there’s four different parking passes and was just wondering if it’s bad just for Green and Blue or for all of them (commuting from Horizon) thank you. (And while I know it may not be worth it money isn’t an issue at all)

I have a recruiter call Wednesday and will be on campus when it happens. What's the best area to take the call to minimize noise from others
