I’m currently in the process of applying for UNCC’s Master’s program, specifically MSIT. I’m currently a student and about to graduate with my BA in IT December.

Two of the requirements for the application are submitting a Statement of Purpose essay and requesting recommendations.

Does anyone have any tips or guidance for completing these requirements?

Hello to my Philly area 49ers. I have an extra ticket available for the Charlotte vs. Temple football game on Saturday. It is in row 8 section 137 (visitor's side). You will have to meet up with us at the stadium to get in, but after that you can probably sneak off to a different seat if you don't want to sit with us (4 other 49ers fans) as I doubt it will be super crowded. The football product will be very bad but the ticket is free and the seats are within heckling range.

Must be a 49ers fan to get the ticket.

DM or reply to post if interested.

For the Evolution Oriented Class requirement, what is the easiest "free" class in the list that one can take to complete it? So far, I am leaning towards either Botany or Animal Behavior. Any guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Has anyone taken kiplan womack or Pravin sarode for this class specifically? I can’t find any RMP reviews. Please let me know!

Any feedback on the MS AI Program which started a year or two back? Is MCS/MSCS better compared to MS AI at UNC Charolotte?
What are the driving factors to pick either MS AI or MCS with AI concentration?

You can change your registration to Charlotte/ Mecklenburg County, if you previously registered in your home county, during the early voting period. More info on student voting: https://www.youcanvote.org/resource/know-your-rights-students/

Hey girls!

I’m looking to relet my current room in a 4-bedroom townhouse at Aspen Heights University City. Move in would be around late November/Early December depending on how our schedules would work out. I currently live with 3 girls who are all students at UNCC and they are seniors. You would have your own room with a private bathroom. The lease goes until July of 2027 but there is an opportunity to renew. The room is room A in the Vail A layout of their floor plans. This room is located on the first floor in the back of the house. This particular house comes with a fenced-in backyard, so if you have a pet, it works out great! My base rent is $940. The utilities are split among the roommates which is about $45-50 depending on the time of year which includes electric and valet trash. Water, internet, and all other utilities are included in the base rent. Parking is free and the drive to campus is about 5 minutes. There is a shuttle that runs to and from campus for residents if you do not want to park on campus.

Some of the amenities include:
- clubhouse with study rooms
- resort style swimming pool
- fitness center
- sand volleyball court
- fire pits and grill areas
- accommodating staff
- gated community
- free parking
- campus shuttle
- in-unit washer/dryer
- 24/7 security and maintenance
- comes furnished (bed frame, mattress, desk, nightstand, dresser drawers) living room has (couch, coffee table, side table, bar stools, entertainment center and tv)
- many local grocery stores nearby including Lidl, Walmart, Target, and Trader Joe’s

I look forward to hearing from you and potentially letting you tour our home and community!!

I’m taking PHYS 2102 next semester, any recommendations on who to take? I see Kelly Patton and Pedram Leilabady, or is it more of a lock in on your own situation?

Is sirenhead on campus? (What happened?)

I’m planning my courses for next semester but I want to keep the summer fairly light as an accounting and finance major. I am currently doing Econ 3125, blaw 3150 and comm 3160. What is an easy business core class that I can take over the summer that is also online?

Hello everyone, happy fall break. I need to retake a class that I took at another school, but that class was one of the classes that was transferred into UNCC. I talked to my advisor, and she sent me to the academic petitioning place in my portal, but it seems like it is the wrong place to go for this. Any help would be great.

This is the experience forgot to add it on the last post campusworls.app

Hi all,

My kid is a senior in NC. They received direct admission to UNC Charlotte and Western Carolina through NC College Connect and have claimed their spots there. They want to study Computer Science or something close to it, such as Data Science. Their stats are a 35 ACT, a 3.792 unweighted GPA and a 4.272 weighted GPA. Neither of us has been through the college application process before, and hence we have several questions.

1. Major selection: The NC College Connect portal only let them pick one major, and they chose Computer Science. If they are not admitted to CS, will they be considered for another major, or placed as undeclared? Is CS actually capacity-limited or gated at either school?

2. ACT scores: Should they send their ACT scores to these schools, even though admission came through NC College Connect without them? Would the scores help with anything, such as major placement, honors programs or scholarships?

3. Common App: Does it help to also apply through the Common App to UNC Charlotte, or is the NC College Connect claim all they need?

4. Other schools: They plan to claim spots at ECU and App State during College Application Week. Does it make sense to do that when they’ve already claimed UNC Charlotte? We aren’t sure whether there’s any downside, or any benefit beyond having backups.

Kindly upvote if you can, for better reach.

Guys I built out campusworld basically a real life sims version of uncc and close by campus. You can run for SGA, go to class, beg for meal swipes 😭 check out campusworld.app to play

just wondering if anyone who lives in an apartment-style dorm on campus keeps smelling something burnt in the air? obviously not marijuana, that’s always wafting in the air. i’m not sure what, but at one point, it smelled so horribly burnt that i went to see if anyone was using the stove, because that has its own burning scent, but no one was. i expressed the concern to my suitemates in our group chat, but none of them responded. should i be worried?

Reposting because I don’t think I included enough details about my initial request.

I no longer have an active Charlotte email to fill out the Atkins request form, and am unable to visit the Makerspace.

Is there someone who would be willing to print this bat bowl for me, with a diameter of 12 inches and a proportional upscaled bat molding? Willing to pay.

Hi, does anybody recommend taking ACCT 3325 with ACCT 4220 or ACCT 3350? I know taking them all at once would be very challenging.
