/r/Conservative Crickets over at r/conservative about the pedophiles treasonous statement having Iran take out blue cites.

They're still waiting for the marching orders on what he ACTUALLY meant.

It always goes from “he’s just joking!” to eventually, “he’s right, get pwned liberals!”

u/john_the_quain 8d ago
Yes, it’s always “oh my god, you’re overreacting…” to them wearing a shirt commemorating him actually doing said thing and they have selective memory over the entire affair.

Ya know, for a guy who "tells it like it is", there seems to be a legion of people ready to translate his ramblings into coherent sentences. The Trump Translators i call them.

The current spin seems to be "It's just a hypothetical about what Iran could do if we weren't attacking them"

One of them is doing the "read the full quote" thing:
to paraphrase 'high gas prices are a very small price to pay for dealing with iran. iran could take out los angeles or san diego, so dealing with this now with high gas prices are a small price to pay'.
So... That means that the gas prices are high because they are dealing with Iran? Right? Because I thought that man said they are high because Ukraine?
So anyway, the guy is all over the place, as usual and nobody cares or understands. I'm glad Ukraine understands and keeps bombing russian oil infra.

"let em take out los angeles, let em take out san diego"
ackshully what he means is by "let them" is "they could".
these gaslighting fucks.

u/HuudaHarkiten 8d ago
I guess that goes hand in hand with the contradictions, when you can just make up yourself what that man actually meant, you don't have to think about all the knots you've tied.

San Diego is home to a Carrier Group, is it not?
ETA: oh, it's the homeport for the US Navy's Pacific Surface Fleet.

I mean the guy completely misinterpreted what he said, left out stuff and changed things.
But I was more focusing on the part about the fuel prices. Others have commented already about how /r/conservative tends to make up shit to defend what the weird orange man said, so I thought I didn't need to point that out in my specific comment.

u/SirTiffAlot 8d ago
That's not even the full quote, they're paraphrasing so they literally aren't using the full quote. He said those cities being bombed would be a small price to pay.

Iran could take out two American cities? Our commander in chief is pathetic, can't even defend our country

Because I thought that man said they are high because Ukraine?
I thought it was Bidens fault

lol, thanks. I kinda forgot about that, set it during covid, sad that it's still relevant in the age of RFK.

Look at how hard they are working to sane wash this shit. Like they are the special trump whisperer
Conservative
The point Trump was making was that these cities are at risk from Iran and that the U.S. is fighting to prevent Iran from threatening American cities with attacks. He claimed that the economic costs of the war were a "small price to pay" for keeping American cities like LA and San Diego safe,
35
u/Kmanvb 8d ago
Genuinely insane that’s their takeaway from ‘let them take San Diego, let them take LA’

u/Ok_Star_4136 8d ago
I mean, even if you were to ignore the moral implications of this, the amount of revenue these cities produce is enormous..
The GDP of Los Angeles is 1.697 trillion dollars. The GDP of San Diego was 266.9 billion.
Considering the GDP of the entire united states is 32.38 trillion, that means Trump is comfortable dropping the GDP of America by 6% (and killing millions nonetheless) for a fucking grudge..

Which is the biggest, presumably Norfolk?
5
u/BatJew_Official 7d ago
From the quick research I just did, it appears the base in SD is actually only the 8th largest by personnel. It does appear to be the second largest naval base by personnel tho, with Norfolk being #1.
By land area I couldn't find a list that went beyond 5th but I can't imagine SD will rank all that high compared to the absolutely massive bases we have throughout Texas, Nevada, Arizona, etc. Simply more space to be had out there.

I'm pretty sure the point he was making is the exact opposite of what this post implies.
Jfc Trump could say on a televised interview he hopes all Democratic voters die a painful death, and arcon would say "What he meant was, he hopes they live happy and fulfilling lives even if they're poo poo pee pee head libtords."
5
u/AstronomerChance1727 8d ago
Another claim I heard: Those cities can take a lot of pain.
Claim: They say they have high pain tolerance!!
I am a bit confused now by your explanation. Can you also explain how the above two statements fit into your interpretation?

so sick of these dishonest fucks trying to pretend everything is taken out of context. he very blatantly tried to rile up his crowd by saying fuck it, if people are gonna bitch about the gas and they’re gonna take one city out let it be los angeles or san diego. That’s the fucking context.
he said what he said. charlie kirk said what he said. they’re afraid to be caught being the vile pieces of shit they are because they know deep down it’s wrong. fuck them and fuck donald trump.

At some point, the bots learned that saying "It's taken out of context" and nothing else is enough to placate the smooth brain americans reading social media.

u/HapticSloughton 7d ago
Alex Jones used that statement as the world's biggest crutch.
Minutes-long statements from him were "taken out of context." He said you had to listen to entire multi-hour broadcasts of his to properly understand his hateful word-vomit. People did, and his words were still terrible, racist, fascist, calling for violence, etc.
It's the refuge of media cowards.

Man, I was so distracted by the live streaming of the firing squad I had forgotten about that - and I live in one of those cities. I guess their strategy is working
