This is the ultimate one

u/Adept_Ad_3687 6h ago

Katara is such a badass. Huge crush on her as a kid.

To give yall a clue how dangerous she is…

Here’s her throwing down with one of the strongest in the verse.

Her Bankai for more evidence

This is practically the whole plot of "Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic"

Trauma Team International from the Cyberpunk 2077 universe

Provided you have the right medical insurance…

This medic squad will roll up, wipe out all threats in the vicinity, and have you medivaced to safety within 10 minutes or less regardless where you are in Night City.

If anyone sees them deployed, the usual response is OH FUCK and getting the fuck away from them.

6

u/RoadsidePicnik 6h ago

I found out on playthrough four or five that they'll taser V if they get too close in the opening mission.

u/Cultural_Corner_6181 6h ago

Ratchet-Transformers

8

u/Mighty_Eagle_69420 6h ago

Also by extension First Aid (who used his friend's corpse-turned-into-minigun to shred his murderer to bits)

5

u/Cultural_Corner_6181 6h ago

(That goes hard where?)

5

u/Mighty_Eagle_69420 6h ago

IDW2005's Transformers run, from Issue 20 of the More Than Meets The Eye comic line. Also note that Megatron's a competent medic who's also an Autobot in this.

6

u/Just-Purpose601 6h ago

Never forget that one time on Tf Prime, brief but well placed.

5

u/Longjumping-Buy-3434 4h ago

Is that the one where he fought zombies in episode four, or something else?

3

u/cohortq 6h ago

the 1986 movie wasn't so great for him

3

u/Cultural_Corner_6181 6h ago

Or like anyone lol

Fabius Bile (Warhammer 40k)

Really any space marine apothecary, but just to throw a specific example ill use fabulous bill., fabius is one of the most dangerous beings in the galaxy. Every space marine can throw hands, fabius is terrifyingly brilliant, and his main weapon, torment, causes incredible amounts of pain. He is one of the very few beings who can go toe to toe with archmagos cawl in scheming and come out on top.

Don't ask where he got his skin cape though.

HM: Kargos Bloodspitter.

Edit: how the hell did i forget Talos of the night lords!

5

u/SpaceWolf_Jarl2 6h ago

I would also give a special mentionnto Ulrik the Slayer. Being chief Wolf Priest means he is also tje chief apothecary. But his fughting wad ferocious enough to earn his nickname and the approval of Angron.

3

u/Hyksus2 6h ago

Thanks for the loyalist shoutout spacewolf_jarl! I wonder what your favourite legion is?

But seriously I was struggling to remember many loyalist apothicaries, all I could think of is that apothicary from blood of iax.

3

u/SpaceWolf_Jarl2 6h ago

Stragenly, I think most Apothecaries given relevance are Traitor, there are several with Fabius, Talos, and a few DG ones and the Berserker Surgeons. The two most important loyalist ones are Ulrik (that also is probably lost recognized as a Chaplain) and Corbulo from the BA. The only other Chapter with relevant Apothecaries I recall were the Red Scorpions but a bit too small to remember any characters specifically.

3

u/Hyksus2 6h ago

I have a theory that chaos gets extra character focus on apothicaries because it has a built in "why isn't out protagonist being backstabbed" reasoning - i have to imagine chaos had fewer apothicaries overall than loyalists - quite a few warbands don't have one.

Usato, from The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic is basically this trope incarnate, thanks to how he uses healing magic the wrong way.

Leonard “Would you like to see just how fast I can put you in a hospital” McCoy, MD, CMO.

2

u/Longjumping-Buy-3434 4h ago

That reminds me, Mater from the Cars franchise used to be a monster truck wrestler. One of his opponents was Dr. Feel Bad, and he said, “Your next stop is the hospital!”

9

u/UndeniablyMyself 6h ago

Ratchet from Transformers.

Rarely has he ever given a shit about doing no harm.

2

u/grimoire-5_not_6 6h ago

damn can't find the panels, but just to let everyone know he managed to notice Overlord, whos been killing LITERALLY before being 'born', creeping up on him and scored a shot.

2

u/OkBus3544 6h ago

I swear in every single continuity he at least once, decides enough is enough and absolutely busts someone's shit

Prime? The time he grinded off someone's face

Bayverse? He amputates limbs as his fighting style

SIEGE (Ala the calmest he's ever been)? straight up turns a con into shredded cheese with blaster rounds

1

u/No_Disaster_258 5h ago

In Prime, he got himself injected with Cybertronian roids once and thinks he can beat the shit out of Megatron.

Which is true, but unfortunately Megs is much, much more skilled at fighting than him.

Had to pick the tightest fit that she ever shows in.

Edit: Holy shit, when you search Tsunade in the GIF option, this gooner fanfic is the very first thing that pops up.

This is why people are weirded out by anime

6

u/wdnwcgm 6h ago

I don't ever remember her dressing this way? was it a filler or is it a fan edit?

6

u/Effective_Piece251 6h ago

She never wears this, it’s a fan edit or ai

3

u/smorgasbard 6h ago

Bro. i dont remember it either(i jutsu assumed, not deep into the anime)

Homie posted doujin material to make his stake

3

u/wdnwcgm 6h ago

yeah that's what I thought

5

u/BigBuford1337 6h ago

Don’t remember this episode.

10

u/mfinpizzaparkerboi 6h ago

Does Venom Snake count? He was originally a combat medic

3

u/_b1ack0ut 5h ago

I think he absolutely counts. I actually came to put him down if no one else did lol

9

u/BillyFaust 6h ago

Yosaku, Toriko.

he's like if a barbarian multiclassed into cleric, with very brute force (but effective) healing methods

9

u/grichardson526 6h ago

Dr. M'Benga is here to kill Klingons and chew bubble gum, and he's all out of bubble gum.

Trauma Team from Cyberpunk 2077

5

u/JicamaIndependent352 6h ago

Not sure if she counts but when from dragon age origins

2

u/healsallwounds 6h ago

Wynne. Not sure on that front, since she doesn't really "throw hands" unless you build her a certain way. But she's still a tough old lady.

4

u/Confusionopolis 6h ago

I mean… Faust is technically a physician?

3

u/UltimateOtter_Nation 6h ago

Dr. Moridin Solus from Mass Effect. He was a block ops soldier before he ran his free clinic.

Florence Nightingale (FGO)

1

u/indonerd 4h ago

Dr. Kureha (Baki)

3

u/Painchaud213 6h ago

Mistweaver Monks, from World of Warcraft.

They are a healing spec that is played at melee range. Their martial art heals by dealing damage, which kicks up gusts of healing mist to help their allies.

3

u/niemir2 6h ago

Rose from The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic.

4

u/smorgasbard 6h ago edited 5h ago

Since some gooner picked Tsunade,

Kabuto. He learns similar healing powers, he learns life-prolonging justsu that Orochimaru had, throws literal hands, and has full control of the Sage power.

2

u/Android_Taco 6h ago

Wendy Marvell (Fairy Tail) She's the series resident healer but also a powerful Dragon Slayer mage.

2

u/Longjumping-Buy-3434 6h ago

Kraven may be Marvel’s evil Tarzan, but he also has medical skills.

1

u/GsoKobra12 6h ago

I was specifically thinking of characters designated as a team medic or healer that also happen to be able to melee fight well

1

u/Longjumping-Buy-3434 4h ago edited 4h ago

In that case, Marshall from PAW Patrol. His side job is being a medic, but he also knows Pup Fu. So far, he’s a green belt.

2

u/yellowvincent 6h ago

1

u/Longjumping-Buy-3434 4h ago

I saw him hold his own against zombies for almost a minute straight while he was talking on the phone.

Ratchet from Transformers Prime

2

u/OkBus3544 6h ago

Ratchet (Transformers)

My guy was doing competive amputation as his fighting style: aiming directly where the joints were connected to immidieatly immobilize the target before it could even react.

Then he became a straight up psychopath with a buzzsaw after taking experimental energon in prime, grinding an Innocent bot's face off because he felt like being brutal today

2

u/Chief_Cthulhu 6h ago

As a former Zenyatta main (haven’t played since before Overwatch 2), I love playing as a sniper healer

When you become one of the greatest healers just to force people to continue running the fade.

2

u/wafflelauncher 6h ago

Dr. M'benga (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds). He is shown in one episode with war flashbacks as having some serious fighting skills (and PTSD).

2

u/landartheconqueror 6h ago

2

u/Bloonmasterpopuplous 5h ago

That pistol do pack a punch

0

u/GsoKobra12 5h ago

Idk if Mercy fits. All she has for damage is a pistol that’s frankly a peashooter

1

u/landartheconqueror 5h ago

Maybe she's been nerfed but her offense was DEADLY in the original game

2

u/Copp2395 6h ago

Jester Lavorre. (The Mighty Nein Series/Critical Role Campaing 2)

In the series (so far), she alings a little bit more with the stereotypical version of the party's healer.

On the other hand, the original campaing version of the character can obliterate you with both, mystical and muscle power and rarely heals her friends in battle. It got to the point that the party joke about her forgetting her helaing abilities and had to find another extra character to fill the rol of the cleric.

2

u/Elysium_Chronicle 2h ago

Because of its action-based combat systems, the Tales JRPG series employs these often enough, to give variety to its healer characters beyond the stock "white mage".

Jude Mathis (Tales of Xillia) is a med student, and also a proficient bare-knuckle martial artist:

1

u/Elysium_Chronicle 2h ago

Farah Oersted (Tales of Eternia) is a farmhand, so has experience in practical medicine and will be your primary healer before the magic systems unlock (and even then will see supplemental use because her healing techniques cast quicker than the more potent magics). Trains martial arts in her spare time, and strong enough to Judo-throw bears.

1

u/AnaTheSturdy 6h ago

Do not underestimate Herbert. You will sorely regret it when he dumps 195 damage on you.

1

u/Different_One9412 6h ago

Technically Jester in CR2 but it was a running joke that she may be a cleric but she didn't know how to heal

u/RingoBingo823 6h ago

Literally every support in Overwatch with the exception of Mercy with her Barbie blaster.

Does my always making Wynn a sword mage in the first Dragon Age so that she’s a little old lady decked out in massive armor count?

I love a healer that just can’t die

1

u/Tempest-Stormbreaker 4h ago

Field Medic, Killing Floor (1&2)

While not a specific character, the Field Medic class ends up being the most overpowered class in both games with regards to survivability and self-sustain. On top of getting AOE Heal over Time grenades, they end up either having the highest armor value, or second highest, they also have significantly reduced healing syringe cooldown and potency as they level up.

Malus Thorm (Baldur’s Gate 3) this undead surgeon operates the House of Healing in the Shadowlands. If the player chooses the right dialogue, he can be convinced to perform surgical techniques on himself, dying in the process.

Viney from The Owl House, I was gonna say Emira from the same show since she's an illusionist as well as a healer but we don't actually see her fight after joining the healing track. Viney on the other hand gets to combine healing with beast keeping magic, which she uses to fight with after being encouragd to fight by Luz. Viney also had help from her pet griffin.
