Like the Professional Shitpost, except it feels less like a meme and more like a conspiracy theory.
All Hail King Julien
This show confirms everything you'd never want to know about the Madagascar universe. From King Julien coming from an inbred family. to Julien's uncle having set up a secret government program to brainwash innocent citizens of the Lemur Kingdom into being his slave assassins, to Mort being a 50+ interdimensional perverted eldritch hermit with psychic abilities, to there being a cult of snails that dress up as bells that were manipulating the Aye-Aye Kingdom into thinking they were gods.
Neon Genesis: Evangelion
It's a show about people using giant robots to fight giant alien monsters exceptthe giant robots are acually the protagonists' moms, and the giant alien monsters are actually the same species as humans, sorta? It's complicated, also the monsters aren't even the main villains.
The real main villains are an ancient cult that runs the world and is in charge of the organization the protagonists' work for.
Ghost in the shell starts as a police/spy thriller and ends on existential crisis about. I cannot explain it in words.
Ergo proxy. Anime about monsters called proxies. If you piece everything together, it is basically a wall-E situation and proxies are humans sent back to clean/take care of earth and humanity.
Monsters are real. Magic is real. Demonic dimensions exist. Different mythologies are real. The Shadow Realm exists. Aliens are real and the moon alien leader thinks that Earth’s inhabitants are the invaders. There’s a billionaire who is at least somewhat of a good person, but his CFO is running a criminal organisation who wants to take over the world to remove unpredictability, below the ballpit of a Chuck E Cheese knockoff. There’s a former actor who’s presumed dead hiding in the sewers. The multiverse is a real thing
